day 1 of giving MD characters pokemon teams: uzi edition

putting a read more cuz this shit long teehee

i feel like her team is an even split of picking something bc it looks cool, and the pokemon itself saying something more a team of corviknight, absol, umbreon, liepard, murkrow, and crobat would fit her extremely well, with the former three being stereotypical "edgy" pokemon fitting of her persona. the latter three, however, I feel speak a bit more towards her character.

if you’re familiar with competitive pokemon, you’re probably aware of strategies that use the prankster ability. murkrow and liepard have both been used for these strategies, such as liepard being used to create endless battles or murkrow having arguably more usage than its own evo. both of these pokemon just have that gremlin energy that Uzi has.

and finally, crobat. i like to think that crobat itself would symbolize Uzi finally being able to form close bonds and let her guard down, manifesting itself with a friendship evolution

Sonadow, Sonamy...

OK so we all know that there's a civil mid-joke war inside the Sonic Fandom about preferences between Sonadow and Sonamy, right?

And yeah I don't care barely at all about ships or ship wars and stuff, and everyone can have their opinion! But as someone who loves to relate the lore to everything because autism I really like analyzing things and it helps me understand everything better, I thought to maybe give all the canon/non-emotions related stuff to explain how these relationships, friends or something more (spoiler alert, something more does not exist in canon), work inside canon and how they would work in the far future.

REMINDER THAT THIS WILL NOT SIDE WITH EITHER SIDE MUCH UNTIL THE END ("In my humble opinion..." part)

THERE'S ALSO AN ANALYSIS! But at the end, since it's more of a personal analysis that is not fully factual, just a study of the characters.

Yeah so here it goes...

(Everything with a "*" means that it will be explained at the end with the more "sonic" stuff, less related to the ship.)

Sonamy

Realistically, Amy was created to be more of "just an addition to the Sonic team" with more female representation. She started off as just Sonic's girlfriend or love interest, even though he never showed as much interest for her as she did for him. In short, her interest in him did show since she made her first appearance, clearly showing that that would be the main or most shown romantic relationship in the franchise.

At the beginning, she was completely a Sonic fangirl and had much interest in him, specifically shown in shows or some comics... but as they realized the potential of the character, they stopped making her whole reason to be there sonic, changing it slightly, but still firing the character. This also meant that they stopped making her be "madly in love" or that interested in sonic, who was never interested in the first place. This, outside of the franchise is clearly the creators noticing the potential of a character with a heart as big as Amy's, but inside of the franchise it was probably her maturing (going from typical teenage romance-obsessed phase to just a normal crush), which was (ok this one thing is my opinion, yeah...) a big improvement to the character, to give her a story, more personality...

Now, about the ship itself... Sonamy has always been one-sided, or at least in most cases. And this had been stated and was seen clearly throughout the franchise (ok realistically I did not watch sonic boom but that one is not really canon in the main story which is the one that I am talking about). At first, maybe it was not shown in a very modern or uh... less obvious way... but listen the 90's are the 90's ok. but they showed it nonetheless. So, respectfully, Sonamy has not been canon from both sides clearly in most of the canon storyline.

(further study of this ship is after Sonadow, but that is a more personal review so I understand if you are not so interested)

So yeah I think we can all accept that no matter how gay it looks we have no proof that they are canon with facts and from a less biased point of view...

We have Sonic's line "I heart you too, Shadow" hope that's enough to feed ya xd

Nah but seriously there is an analysis to these two, it's just not that based in facts and hints like Sonamy had.

The analysis...

Now that the factual part has been explained, let's see this from a more Sonic POV, okay?

Sonic

Sonic is a character that likes to do everything, achieve everything, and be the fastest. His quote is quite literally "Gotta go fast". Of course, in a relationship, he would, not only be interested in, but also need, someone who can "keep up", as toxic as that sounds. He does not really need someone as fast as him, just someone that he can trust to be there by his side at every fight (or most of them), someone who will be at his level enough to fight by his side, otherwise it would be too dangerous. Something else that I've noticed is that the ones he is closest with, or has shown more attachment towards, are also people that can keep him with his feet on the ground, people that know when and how to say "You are not going to do this" and convince him, or, people to just keep him company and remind him who he is when he forgets (and, hey, it's Sonic, he also likes to have a few laughs).

As coincidental as that sounds, being able to both keep up and slow him down are traits that both characters mentioned earlier fulfil (yeah maybe Shadow more specifically... but shut up this is also supportive for Sonamy shippers ok LET THEM BE HAPPY LET THEM ALL BE HAPPY)

In any case, Sonic is a free-spirited supersonic hedgehog that will go wherever he wants whenever he wants, he helps people that are in trouble if he has the chance, and will fight and laugh alongside people who were once, currently are, or have tried to keep up. But being in a relationship itself is more effort than occasional visits, and Sonic knows that; he will be in a relationship with someone that can "keep up" and stand by him for the good of both of them. Obviously, he will also give, put in the effort to make the relationship work, but he knows who, when he gives 50, can give back 50, and those are people that will keep up with his adventures.

In my opinion... (the logic of the analysis applied to my train of thought, this is more biased from now on)

Sonamy

I understand why people see these two as a cute couple. Honestly, it makes sense. She does fulfil most of the traits and he does fulfil many of her expectations, from what I have seen of her...

But it's the keeping up part. Amy is a kind, warm hedgehog who loves nature and loves protecting nature. I have always had the feeling that, at some point (when she's a young adult probably), she would get a small house, near a natural area, where all her friends are, and stay there to protect them in that area. She would stay in one place that would fully grow on her and she would spend all her life there, protecting what she wishes to fight for and taking care of nature, as well as some visits every now and then to her friends if they are far away.

Sonic does not seem to like physical affection too much, except for certain moments with certain people, and the way Amy keeps asking for affection might make him uncomfortable or even bore him most of the time. In a relationship? It might just bore Sonic too much, and Amy would not change to much anyway...

I have never been a fan of the concept of a one-sided ship, due to how toxic it can be. But there is something about the way that Amy, even with her crush, respects Sonic's boundaries, that makes me feel like this is the one single one-sided ship I find interesting and perfect as it is. Sonic is not uncomfortable with her, on the contrary, he enjoys spending time with her a lot, but when she goes to a more romantic mode, he does seem more uncomfortable in most cases.

Plus... this one small part is way more of a personal opinion, but Amy staying single and possibly being a single mother feels very in-character and sweet.

Sonadow

Shadow. As cryptic as he chooses to be at times, he has shown that he cares about Sonic before, which for the character, someone who lost everything in a person who meant the universe to him, is quite a lot. He has been open- or as open as he can be- with Sonic before, which clearly makes their friendship-rivalry slightly more different that his relationship with other people. Shadow's only "problem" is that at times he cannot express himself well.

They respect each other, even if they don't always show it. They care about each other, and even admire some actions the other does. Their rivalry is not toxic, it's just competitive.

Shadow does have the traits that Sonic would be most interested in, like Amy, but in his case, he is less feeling, but he can definitely keep up and even slow Sonic down. He has followed him when he thought he could put the world or himself in dagger multiple times, but he has not shown that well his ability to encourage Sonic (yeah no he has his own way with words and that way is not saying anything, much less to someone with Sonic's high self-esteem)

Sonic loves excitement and enjoying life to the last minute, doing everything that might sound extreme just for fun. He has always admired Shadow's power and angry determination, and found him and his powers amazing, even if he won't admit it. Shadow doesn't mind living extreme situations at all, apparently even enjoying certain activities that involve the excitement of a battle of any kind. Sonic finds that part of Shadow fun to mess with, and Shadow either doesn't care or is barely angry, but actually, in a way, enjoys having someone to fight or just spend time with that won't push any emotional talk or physical signs of affection too much.

Apart from that, my pov again for the future, both of them could make great parents, and their relationship in a family could be interesting since they already act like a married couple xd but then again, Sonic does not seem like the kind of person who will just have a kid unless something "eye-opening" or lifechanging happens to him.

Conclusion

But then again this is just an analysis that would be in case he would settle with either of them for life, so it might not be the best if we are just keeping them with their current age or a bit older xd

Plus, this is more related to their personalities, facts and lore... since I'm not the most adequate to judge how romantic and other kinds of attraction work haha (aroace nation rISE)

Also, as un-biased as this is, this still has a bit of personal opinion, so don't take it too canon and stuff

And remember everyone had the right to have their own opinions, even if we don't like them. Respect everyone and their opinions! They aren't hurting anyone anyway, right? (unless it's something highly immoral or just straight up not legal worldwide)

So yeah, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you ship Sonamy, Sonadow or something else, we're all just having fun after all, and if you insult people's opinion you're just being the angry bully in the playground who steals toys and breaks them because it's fun for them, a bitch.

finally got around to making a toy universe s/i for buzz......... woaowwww so cool. autism rambling under the cut<3

ok. her name is ocean explorer lyra, shes sorta like a knockoff barbie who specializes in diving and marine biology :-3

design/toy info: - she's got articulation points at her shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles. i know that doesnt make sense for the time but idc i do what i want. - i know barbies are designed to be ok in water but i imagine because shes meant to be a diver shes like MEANT to be played with in the bath...idk enough about dolls to know if there would be any differences in her design maybe her clothing items are more waterproof or something - her hair is a mix of doll hair, fabric ribbons and plastic bits! gives her a sort of mermaid vibe! - all ocean explorer lyras come with her best friend and exploring buddy marina the orca! marina is like a squeaky bath toy thing, you can fill her with water and squeeze and itll spray out of her blowhole :-) - the bag on marina's back includes her scuba diving gear, as in the box lyra just has her full wetsuit on! (2nd outfit in the pic above) there are also clothing sets available with a diving dress (those old diving suits) and an on-land version! - has a lil scar on her face from a previous owner! ok in the actual story: i cant really decide whether i would have her be gifted to molly (andys sister) or bonnie, but i think the idea of toys being given to a child a bit too old or young for them is really cool! so i want that to happen. so she's obviously meant to be for kids older than bonnie/molly so i want her to be bought from an old secondhand store and given as a gift from an aunt or other family member. she's had multiple owners already, she knows how it goes, she's just excited to inspire another kid to love the ocean and exploration and adventure! and shes like YEAH HI NICE TO MEET YOU I LOVE THE OCEAN IM SO READY TO LEARN ABOUTTHE OCEAN WITH THIS KID and it turns out that bonnie/molly isnt ready yet! or like knows about the ocean but is going too slow. and she has to come to terms with the fact that not every kid is going to do the same things or go at her pace :-3 and i think buzz helps with that ehehehe. obv no buzzjessie (I LOVE YOU BUZZJESSIE NO HATETO BUZZJESSIE SO REAL) but i think lyra is like "ummmmmmso i know/i heard that you and buzz had like.... um a thing...." and jessie just SLAPS her back and goes "THATS OLD NEWS GO GET EM TIGER SHARK"

autistic ofc bc I love projecting he's very bad at masking too, he's good at keeping up one specific persona (typical cold ruler mask..) but as soon as someone doesn't act the exact way he expects them to do he doesn't know how to react, and the mask slips, very practiced and good but only in very specific circumstances, another reason why he's so antisocial

he is good at heart and has strong morals, but they're usually overpowered by fear, so he usually just does what's easiest instead of what's right, even though it hurts him more in the long run

he doesn't give a shit about gender, everyone just started calling him a guy and he was like "ok lol"

likes singing and is quite good at it too!! (or. in the case of my au, he was before his voice got messed up)

NO spacial awareness whatsoever, always gets lost in thought, constantly bumping into shit, , he has a bunch of gnarly scars just from that

his godly powers are too much for his mortal-ish body, he regularly gets sick bevause of them, and it was even worse before he used most of them to create hallownest, he was basically permanently in pain lol LOSER

he can't control his glow, so it betrays his emotions a lot (and he can accidentally flashbang people when he feels really strong emotions)

refuses to be vulnerable at all. pushes everyone away, somewhat consciously too, believing himself to be a burden and that they'd be better off without him

him and lurien are both deranged autism buddies <33 lurien does not take any form of authority seriously at all, and doesn’t like taking orders (pathological demand avoidance, autistic thing, pretty sure I have it lol) and so.. he never like. acted like pk was a god. he just treated him like a normal person. and pk had no clue how to react to that so he could not keep up his mask around lurien at all.. so eventually they ended up realising they have common interests and ended up becoming friends.. and later.. hmmm?? they are both incredibly awkward and socially inept lol so it took way longer to happen then it should 💀

but yeah they have a very funky dynamic LOL they can talk for hours about their common interests <3 and hmm.. their dynamic is basically this

He never thought that much of herrah other than being vaguely scared of her;; but she fucking hated him LOL she thought he was an inept cowardly moron

but.. the more time she spent as queen, she grew to understand him a lot more as she felt how much that role and pressure could tear someone down

She still doesn’t like him that much, but she understands why he is the way he is now, and tries to be nicer bevause she knows how it feels

He and monomon have a very weird relationship.. they’re kinda friends but also kinda fucking hate each other LOL;; like;; theyre really fucking mean and hostile to each other but it’s not really genuine, it’s more out of habit than anything, and they do care about each other and look out for each other, it’s just sort of the manifestation of them both being emotionally inept assholes who don’t know how to communicate, so they sorta take it out on each other, but neither of them mind, they know neither of them actually mean it

so yeah sorta like;; idk weird ass friendship where they both pretend to hate each other to vent at how shit the world is but they both know neither of them mean it bevause the anger isn’t directed at each other at all, and it’s kinda become a game between them who can come up with the most ridiculous insults LOL

Random Objects In My House Fight Because I Said So: PART TWO!!!!

HIIIII INTERNET!!!!! I have come back with yet ANOTHER tournament bracket but it's with random Objects... From MY FRIENDS and my HOUSE.

Anyways, if you don't know how this is going to work, it's the same as last time but I'll briefly explain it:

I post the bracket/results from the left and right sides for each round (like in this post here) and I will (usually) add the polls for it the day after or sometime else.

I will be hosting this tournament on the Empty Mind Amino and the Tumblr (which you are on!) and Twitter (@/r4nd0mobject) accounts I have made for this event. (So make sure to check em out, lol-- -)

The sun rises over my calm town well it is until I hear screams and gun shots

“What the hell..?”

I go back inside my house, yeah I think I’ll stay inside today.. and maybe wait a couple hours.. eh fuck it I’ll just go out! I walk out the door and take a deep breath in my South Park pajamas and my System of a Down tee shirt

“The birds are singing the sun is shining the people are dying! What a wonderful day wait people dying-?” I just now notice that almost the entire neighborhood is fucking murdered

“oh how fun..”I say as I step over the land mines of dead bodies out to the middle of the street just about to go to the gas station for snacks before going back in my house for the rest of the day(I’d like to live). I keep walking to the gas station my headphones on blaring metal trying to block out the screams of people dying “so much for peace and quiet..” I say whispering to myself looking down at my phone as I bump into somebody well I probably didn’t see him because he’s WAY shorter than me

“Oh shit man I didn’t see you there!”I say reaching a hand out to him, this dude with a black trench coat red button up and some damn pretty hair his long shoulders length black hair, I look him up and down admiring his looks “are you ok?” He’s looking up at me not moving for a couple of seconds flinching when I reach my hand out before he grabs it and gets up “T-thanks..” he mumbles under his breath “I’m sorry what did you say little man?” He looks me up and down embarrassed but I see a look of fear and rage in his eyes “I-I said thank you ma’am..” I nod my head “yeah your welcome but are you ok?” “O-oh uh yes..?” That’s weird he like asked himself? I keep looking him up and down and FINALLY notice he’s had a gun “what’s that gun for cowboy?” Now a bit confused by that i raise an eyebrow.

Dudes pov:

“What’s that gun for cowboy?” Her voice rings in my ear in too stunned to answer her I look down at it and back up at her

“I-I don’t know…” god I’m pathetic I sound like a kicked dog this is embarrassing!

Tell her you’re going to bring it to a friend

The voice rings in my ear “i-im going to bring it to a friend??” She looks me up and down like prey watching the gears turn in her head as my eyes wander around her body taking her in “well then! You know why all these crazy people are screaming though?” Oh shit oh shit oh shit she knows she knows!

God she’s not in her best state either I’m guessing “oh why’s that?” I say questioning her now getting her to stop asking me questions is better “well it’s a bit better now cuz such a pretty boy is in front of me!” She says grinning and patting my back.
