➯ Despite her many clashes with society, humanity and spectacles alike, Yara is a virtuous and giving woman who prides herself in her ability to stick up for others who cannot do it for themselves. She protects the people of São Paulo and speaks where they cannot be heard, to her core that is who Yara is. A protector. A warrior.

➯ It was an uneventful day, Yara took to helping civilians with the common thief and the occasional crook, picking up debris three times her height and mass as if it was akin to lifting a lone pebble. So, not very eventful for Yara but most definitely perplexing for the average citizen. It was, all things considered, calming.

➯ That was until Yara's ears pick up the sound of familiar and loud music that hurts her ears to even listen to. And with a groan of annoyance, she stands tall, already knowing what is to come.. or more like who.

➯ "Greetings, people of São Paulo! Your greatest nightmare has arrived!" You gloat, arms raised as you conjure up what Yara can comprehend to be coloured illusions of animals and fireworks. Usually, such a sight would enlighten Yara, it reminds her of the carnivals she's attended. But right now she's over this ploy of yours.

➯ You and Yara have been doing this game for far too long. (A month) A millennium, truly. You come in with an elaborate display and an evil plan that she easily thwarts with the flick of her wrist and the painful end of her golden Bolas. you somehow disappear and she's annoyed all over again.

➯ "We're doing this again? Have you no hobbies?" She grimaces at you, in the action of whirling a Bola. ➯ "This is the hobby, actually, so-"

➯ She throws a Bola at you, forcing you to construct a forcefield. "You know you are very volatile."

➯ "And you are very annoying." She mutters before she's leaping towards you, her fist barely missing your jaw.

➯ "It's been a while since I've been villain-ing so you could-" A poor construct of a pig takes the damning punch that was meant for you. It shatters like glass. "-make this less of a bad experience for me-"

➯ "I aim to make it worse." Yara smiles before sending a hearty punch to your nose.

➯ "And you're-" you wince as you hold your nose that was now sputtering with blood, "supposed to be the good guy-" Yara ties you up using her lasso.

➯ "Speak now or I throw you off this building, why do you do this?" She grits her teeth yet all you can think about is the small gap between you two.

➯ You make an attempt to shrug, "show....biz?"

➯ There's a pause, a beat, Yara's angered expression has now gone blank at the sound of your answer. And the silence is so long that not even the nosy civilians who've arrived are confident in breaking it. "Theatrics? You use your powers for theatrics?"

➯ "Mostly, yeah."

By the police arrive Yara leaves your legs tied together, the officers are quick to expect some manner of resistance but upon arriving at the site, all they see is you writing on the floor with a Sharpie. An officer slowly treads to make sense of what you're writing: "I am dramatic and I love Wonder Woman."

“A skeleton, a necromancer, and a surgeon walk into a bar...”

The unmistakable sound of your voice makes Miguel Díaz straighten, cutting his conversation with Eli and Demetri short. A small smile tugs at his lips once you enter his line of sight as the two boys besides him stiffen. He continues to forget how you’ve only befriended them a mere week ago. That, and the other two boys tend to be more... awkward around girls.

You fold your arms over your chest as you inspect Miguel’s costume. “I thought you were coming as Spiderman.”

The boy feels his cheeks heating up. “Uh, yeah,” the memory of his original costume flashes before his eyes, making him stiffen slightly. He scratches the back of his neck. “there was a slight change of plans.”

After a beat, he raises a brow, now examining your costume. A strapless red top with golden lining, a dark blue skirt, a tiara, and the unmistakable golden lasso hanging from your hip. “Let me guess... Wonder Woman?”

You look down at your clothes, smile dropping into a frown. “Yeah.” You heave a small sigh, shaking your head lightly. “I wanted to come as Wondergirl, y’know, Yara Flor- but apparently they don’t sell costumes of her.”

“You know Yara Flor?” Demetri pipes up, not bothering to hide the incredulity behind his words.

The corner of your lip quirks upward. “Yeah, of course!” You exclaim, tilting your head to the side. “And I know the writers thought it was clever but the whole ‘Amazons of the Amazon’ thing does sound kinda redundant, right?”

Demetri’s lips part, the surprise in his features clear as day. He mutters something you don’t manage to catch- something along the lines of ‘where have you been all my life?’

“So you got Wonder Woman instead?” Miguel watches your annoyed frame with amusement. He tilts his head slightly, smile tugging at his lips. “Well, for what it’s worth... I think you look great.”

“Thanks.” You look down at your costume, features bright. “I like your costume too.”

A few seconds of silence fall upon the four of you. You clasp your hands together, turning to Miguel. “I’ll go grab us something to drink before someone spikes the punch.” Your shoulder fall slightly, lips falling into a line. “I am the designated driver after all.”

Miguel snorts. “Pretty sure you’re the only driver, but yeah.”

You walk backwards towards the food table, gaze never leaving that of the Díaz’s. “As soon as you get your license Díaz...”

“Yeah, I promise.” He laughs at your forming grin. You spin on your heel, disappearing between the crowd of students. You slip your way through the mass, finally reaching the table. You reach for the punch bowl, carefully serving two cups. If you’re being honest, you’ve never tried punch before, and you’re itching to know what it actually tastes like.

You turn around, eyes warily watching the two cups as sweaty bodies dance beside you. You crinkle your nose in annoyance, the four boys finally coming into view once again.

“‘Sup, Rhea?”

His voice is one you immediately recognize — and not for a good reason. You grind your teeth together as you watch Kyler bumping forcefully and purposefully against Miguel. The Díaz boy stumbles back a few steps, earning laughs from Kyler and his crew. You watch as Eli and Demetri stiffen behind Miguel, who clenches his jaw and glares at the boy’s retreating frame.

Inhaling sharply, you reach for two cups of grape punch and head his way, strides nonchalant. Just when Kyler’s pirate crew is a few steps away from you, you stumble forward. One of the cups spills over with your fall. You know you’ve hit your target when you hear one of Kyler’s friends — Buck, Brick, or something — gasping.

You raise your head to meet Kyler’s gaze. Your e/c eyes stare at him with innocent shock.

You can tell he’s mad- and had it been anyone else, he would’ve probably thrown a punch by now. Except, in this case, he can’t.

“O-Oh my gosh, Kyler, I’m so sorry, let me-” You lean over in the slightest. The anger and the shock seems to wash away from his features as you lean, eyes dropping from your face. Kyler smirks in the slightest before you finally pull away. The purple stain is still very much evidently there. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going and I-“

The asshole doesn’t even do any effort to conceal his smugness. “Don’t sweat it, Y/N.”

You nod, offering an apologetic smile before brushing past him and his friends. As soon as you do, your smile drops to an annoyed eye roll. You slide up next to Miguel, Eli and Demetri, who all seemed to have been watching the exchange between Kyler and you.

“What an asshole.” You hear Demetri muttering as he takes a sip of his drink. Miguel, on the other hand, simply glares daggers at the boy. It’s not like he missed Brucks saying Kyler got ‘a nice view’.

You offer the boy the glass of punch you didn’t spill as he reluctantly accepts. You turn your gaze to the dance floor when Miguel licks his lips with anticipation.

“You know, I’ve been taking karate lessons.” He begins, his words making you turn to him with a quirked brow. “And I’m pretty sure that with the progress I’ve done, I could kick Kyler’s ass for... y’know... that.” He vaguely refers to you bumping into him. You chuckle mindlessly, amusement taking over your features.

“Maybe.” You bite your lip in thought, trying to supress a smile. “But it won’t be necessary.”

The three boys turn to you, brows furrowed. They know you’re not that dense. You had to notice what Kyler was doing as you apologized — not to mention the not-so-subtle comments his friends made afterwards.

So why were you being so calm?

You turn to them. “Hey, I’m not really feeling this dance.” You shrug lightly, dropping the empty cup onto a table behind you. “Wanna bail? I know a place where we can get quality milkshakes.”

Demetri sighs loudly. “Sadly, I’m lactose intolerant.”

You only grin in response. “Then the fries are on me.”

“I’d love to Y/N, but I don’t have any money on me right now.” Miguel exhales sharply, shoulders dropping at his sides. Embarassment buzzes in his gut at his own words. Your grin grows.

“Oh, I don’t either.”

“I hope you haven’t forgotten that in order to buy food, you have to pay for it first.” Demetri gives you a pointed look. “So, if you don’t mind me asking, how exactly are you planning on paying, Y/N?”

You snap your fingers in the air, as if you had been forgetting something of the utmost importance. “Oh, right,” You fumble around your belt from where your Wonder Woman lasso hangs. Next to it, a small faux leather pouch. You carefully open it, and from it you retrieve a expensive-looking wallet. “it’s on Kyler.”

Their eyes grow wide. Eli speaks up, the amazement in his tone clear as day. “No way.” He looks at you, lips parted ever so slightly. “Is that his wallet?”

“Yep.” You open it in a casual manner. God, the amount of different credit cards in it is ridiculous. “And while I don’t exactly know karate, let’s just say the asshole is a lot dummer than you might think.”

Miguel blinks rapidly, lips curving into a smile of disbelief. “How’d you get it?”

You smile, shrugging. “I pick-pocketed it off him.”

“Badass!” Eli exclaims, features looking undoubtedly cheerful. For the short while you had known Eli, you know it was strange, seeing him as energetic as he currently is. You decide it looks good on him.

“When you bumped into him.” Miguel murmurs, bewilderment hanging from from words. For someone who prided themselves in being a good judge of character, he had to admit when he was wrong. And in this case, he was most definitely wrong about you.

You give him a look, beaming. “You’re catching on fast, Díaz.” God, he had to give you more credit — and here he was, thinking you were just like the other girls from school. “Wanna get outta here?”

His brain takes a few moments to catch up with what you had asked him. Nodding furiously, he grins. “Definitely.”

The three boys start walking towards the exit of the gym, with Miguel keeping his strides slow and short besides you. He turns to you, brown eyes with a glint you can’t seem to place. “You’re gonna have to teach me that trick.”

You fold your arms over your chest to prevent yourself from toying with your Wonder Woman costume. “Maybe someday.” You pause for a moment, taking a few seconds to truly analyze the contents of Kyler’s wallet. “Fifty dollars?” You murmur, smile growing as you let out a whistle. “Thank you, Kyler.” You take out the fifty dollars, leaving only twenty inside. In a simple motion, you drop the wallet onto the floor and kick it to a nearby crowd of students.

Miguel quirks a brow. “What are you doing?”

You turn to the Díaz boy. “He’s gonna figure out that his wallet is missing sooner or later. Best to make him think he just dropped it on the dance floor.”

He chuckles amusedly. “Smart.”

“What can I say?” You shrug, appearing innocent. He knows better — he can see the smirk curling onto your lips. “This isn’t my first time, bonito.”

Miguel feels his cheeks blushing with a red hue at your words as you two continue walking. The cold wind hits his face as you step into the parking lot. The low temperatures don’t seem to help him in hiding his blush. In his defense, that happens to a guy when a cute girl calls him pretty. You laugh lightly, and whether it is at his flushed face or not, he can’t be sure.

“You comin’, or what?”

God, you’re gonna be the death of him.

Request - Kara x reader request. Kara goes and stays in the future leaving behind her S/O only thinking about what was best for her. After living in the future, she meets their descendant who looks exactly like them. She gets sad and regrets leaving.

Kara took you on a picnic and you are having fun on the date. You and Kara have been busy saving people, but you have been very busy. You have been helping different groups of heroes Birds of Prey, Suicide Squad, Justice League Dark, and Metal Men. Now you have time to spend time with Kara and you love it.

“I’m really happy that we can be alone. I missed spending time with you” You said.

“I’m happy too. Maybe later, tonight we can go out to watch a movie? I want to see the new Pixar movie Luca” Kara said.

“Oh, I want to see that movie too. Yeah, we should go see it” You smiled.

You and Kara smiled at each other, she kissed you. You and Kara start to eat more fruits and talk about everything. Later, you and Kara lie on the blanket and hold hands.

The date got ruined because the city is being attacked by Cosmic King. You used your ability to teleport and Kara used flight to arrive at the city. You and Cosmic King start to fight then Kara stepped in.

“Go help the citizens,” Kara said.

“Okay!” you said.

You use your magic to help people and get them to safety. Kara and Cosmic King are still fighting, then you went to help Kara. You punched Cosmic King and he hit the car hard, you let your guard down to save a family. Cosmic King attacked you and you hit the car hard, you hit your head. You're lying on the ground, your vision starts to get blurry then everything went black.

You have been in a coma for a couple of weeks. Kara has been visiting you every day and comes back after saving people. Alex would come in while Kara is busy with hero stuff. Kara went back to the hospital, she gently kissed your forehead. She sits down and starts to eat her dinner.

“I miss you, y/n. I didn't see the movie but Nia likes it and Alex too. I want to see it with you eventually. I know apologize but I do feel it's my fault, you got hurt. I wasn't fast enough to save you. This isn't the first time this had happened. I'm sorry y/n” Kara said.

She starts to cry and she kissed your forehead again.

Lena, Alex, Nia, and Kelly went to see you. You woke up and they are very happy to see you. They couldn't help to hug you very tight. You're happy to see them.

“Feels good to be awake,” You said.

“But you would be much happier to be out of the hospital, that's for sure,” Alex said.

“You are so right about that,” You said.

“The doctor said, you could leave this afternoon but first they need to make sure you are okay. You want something to eat? I can go get you something” Lena said.

“I would like something to eat,” You said.

Alex sits next to you.

“Where is kara?” You asked.

“Um... Y/n... Kara left. She is in the future in the year 2442. She isn't coming back” Alex said sadly.

You're in shock and you didn't know what to say or ask. You look at them and you can tell they are not lying.

“Why she would do that?” You asked.

Tears form in your eyes.

“She thought it was for the best” Nia said.

Alex hugged you tight and you cry on her shoulder.

Year: 2442

Kara and Booster Gold have been helping the new Justice League members being heroes.

“Kara I want you to meet y/n,” Yara Flor said.

In the year 2050, Yara Flor became Wonder Woman and she is a Demigod.

“Y/n, I-How did you get here?” Kara asked.

“I’m sorry. I don't know you” You said.

“Y/n, Kara is from the past the year 2021. Kara is here to help us be heroes” Yara said.

“Sorry about that. Y/n I know in 2021, is a strong Sorcerer. Do you have powers?” Kara said.

“I am a Speedster and I'm much faster than the Flash,” You said.

Kara smiled.

“Y/n doesn't get along with the team Flash and Team Arrow. Bad history... Like really bad” Yara said.

“I know them. Oliver and Barry are my best friends” Kara said.

You weren't impressed with that. You just walked away and sat down on the chair and put your feet on the table.

“So... Let's talk about training,” Yara said.

“Yes, we should,” You said.

Kara helps train you and Yara without powers. Kara starts to remember when she trained with Alex without her powers. You and Yara keep training with Kara for a while.

Days later, Kara has been getting to know you. Your life is completely different from your doppelgänger in 2021.

“Kara, do you want to get something to eat?” You asked.

“Yes, I'm starving. I can't find Big Belly burger” Kara said.

“Because it was closed down in 2039. Planet Krypton serves the best food and the pizza is so amazing” You smiled.

“Let’s go, can't wait to try the pizza” Kara smiled.

Kara starts to feel sad, she misses you very much and everyone else. She starts to remember the good times, she had with you. She is starting to regret leaving and living in the future.

Much Later, Kara is in her bed thinking about the mistake she did. She can't stop thinking about you.

You fell into a depression and you barely spoke to anyone. You didn't leave the apartment you shared with Kara. You moved in with Nia and lived with her for a while. They helped you through your depression, it wasn't easy but they didn't give up. They encouraged you to start dating other people at first you said no because you weren't ready, but now you're ready.

You are at a rooftop party, Alex and Kelly got married months ago. They will make an announcement soon. Everyone is having a good time. Suddenly, everyone got quiet, Kara arrived at the party. You are not happy to see her.

“I want to say I'm sorry to everyone that I just left without telling anyone. I am truly sorry” Kara said.

“You have been gone for almost two years!” Alex snapped.

“Two years?” Kara said.

“Yes, you have been gone for two years. Time moves differently when you're in a different timeline” You said.

“I missed everyone so much. I want to make it right -”

A - Affection: How do they show affection?

Deeply affectionate despite not wanting to come off as too smothering. She likes to think she's slick when she brushes against you, always sits next to you, and gets you things that remind her of you when she's out. Whenever she catches herself in the act and gets embarrassed, prepared to be met with ramblings of, "What? I can't say hello?", "Is it wrong to be caring?".

B - Beauty: What do they find beautiful? What do they look for?

Feel like she likes intelligent, meek people. Watched some really horrible stereotypical TV show with Jon or something and found the nerdy characters cute. Especially likes it when someone who is usually reserved is still able to take initiative, very specific but she likes it. Curly hair !! I feel like she finds curly hair really beautiful. She also loves locs with pretty beads, she finds them super pleasing to hear.

C - Cuddles: What kind of cuddler are they? Do they like cuddles?

You will never, EVER get her to verbally state that she likes cuddling, ask her and she'll scoff thinking that's a legitimate answer to your question.

If you're taller than her she goes for the midriff or the neck, shorter and she'll embrace you around your shoulders. She's the type to sway a bit if the hug is long. She's the type to catch you off guard with how staggering her hugging can be.

Yara is stubborn to a fault, which is either good or bad depending on the situation.

She tends to have plans and goals that she will stick to no matter what, which makes it hard to collaborate with her.

She tries to be gentle for the sake of others, a sense of responsibility over herself, both physically and emotionally she tries.

Pretty dang honest. If you're someone from the Justice League it's a no from her on the dating scene. She can be seen as an occasionally blunt person but she's good with her words.

On the other end she's honest about what she does like too.

I - I love you: How long does it take for them to say it?

I'm stuck between thinking she could go a while without saying it, or immediately say it to you unabashed after like a couple weeks. There's like no in-between.

J - Jealousy: How jealous are they?

It's not that she's jealous it's just that why should she keep silent about how you're her partner? Especially to strangers that don't seem to be getting the hint?

Aside from that though she's not painfully jealous, but she will put someone in their place it she has to.

K - Kisses: How are they as a kisser?

Yara is something else, one part of her has you convinced she's never kissed anyone in her life, and the other part has you believing she's the goddess of kisses.

Deep, feverish kisser, the type to leave you dizzy from it. Her warm hands cradling your skin as her lips plaster onto yours and even that's not enough. Does it until sbe leaves you breathless.

Not anytime soon, Yara still has adventures far ahead of her to think about kids.

M - Mornings: How are mornings spent with them?

Can't really tell who's the first to wake up, but Yara's usually the one to get up first. She brings you and herself something to drink as you sit in bed, washing away your drowsiness and planning for the day ahead between soft mutterings. Mornings with Yara is liken to bathing under sunbeams.

N - Nervousness: What gets them nervous? What are they scared about when it comes to the relationship?

She's scared that she's too out of sync with other people, that due to her rather unique parentage and upbringing that there's a disconnect between her and others. It's harder to notice among the Future State JL because well, they're like her. But she's not fond of being tied down to such a team anyways.

Generally a pretty open person, she has her secrets (like where she stashes extra snacks for Jerry) but none that are malicious or that would put the relationship in jeopardy.

P - Patience: How patient are they?

Yara... Isn't the most patient person. Those types that tap their foot and look around to find something to distract them from the time, that's Yara.

She can be quick to anger but not with her relationships, mostly at the misgivings of others.

Q - Quiet Moment: Share a quiet moment

She takes you flying on Jerry in the afternoon, waiting for the sun to set as the two of you take in the flowing wind and the beauty of the world that's now so small in your eyes. Such an occasion would usually warrant laughter and cheers loud enough to hurt your throats, but in this moment, it's nothing short of euphoric.

R - Romance: How romantic are they?

OhohohOOOOOO... She's a mess. Tries to impress you and make you swoon over her and she's a little rusty, but it's hard to say that to her when she's beaming at you as though you're the reason for worship. The sun and moon. When she's not trying so hard to woo you, and does her own thing from the sincerity in her heart, she has you smitten.

She's willing to go above, beyond, and below (coughcough the Underworld) for you. Yara knows what it's like to fail to protect others, so she's so devoted to your safety and wellbeing.

Yara's swept with puppy love and then some when it comes to the relationship at first. She puts in a lot of effort.

U - Unspoken Words: What do they wish they could say?

She wishes she could say how much you mean to her without wanting to cringe at how sappy she is.

V - Vulnerability: How do they show vulnerability?

She doesn't, doesn't try to at least. But you can tell with the way her body relaxes at the sight of you, when her hand searches for just a bit of you to ground herself in, to commit to her memory the touch of your skin. You kinda have to figure it out based on visual cues, because the words die in her throat when she has you near.

W - Whole: Would they feel incomplete without their s/o?

She'd definitely feel crushed if you were in a relationship for a while, but she'd be able to move forward, even if her heart hurts.

X - XOXO: What's a loving gesture you should expect from them?

Expect get-away's, it helps Yara and she hopes it helps you, the two of you don't even have to do anything. Once or twice a week Yara just brings food and takes you somewhere to be alone. Being a member of the Justice League can require her to prioritize the job over most things, but you're still important to her and she will make it apparent.

Y - Yearning: How much do they miss their s/o?

More than she'd like to admit. Whenever she gets a little bit of quiet time between the work she does, her mind automatically thinks of you.

A/N: Confession and Dating Headcanons with the underrated Amazon! (I wrote this with the intention of the reader being female but I don't go out of my way to show that so.... Hopefully that's okay?)

Yara is like..

Not good at realizing how flirtatious she can appear?

She thinks she's just being friendly, she's boisterous and affectionate with those close to her. And the amount of people she's the most closest to is very small.

It's just you and Jerry, her trusted steed.

She's never really thought about relationships, you asked her if she has and all she could do was shrug.

"I don't see why I need more relationships, I have the Justice League, and I already have who I want most."

You paused, "....wait what?"

You're almost hesitant to ask, you know she's likely referring to you but fear still dwelled in your heart. What if she was thinking about Jon? . It's when your speechless that Yara rephrases her statement.

"You're all I want. Just you... And Jerry-But you slightly more."

Dating:

Yara's one to adore the classy way of getting into a relationship. She asks you to dinner and gives you a bouquet of flowers that she found herself. Jon helped her with most of the planning.

At the beginning of the relationship you notice little actions that Yara does. Way more than you usually would.

The look she gives you that's asking you if you're okay. That look where she's wondering if it's okay to hold your hand.

That angry glare when someone's getting a bit too friendly with you.

She's not one to tell you her jealousy upfront. But her actions state it enough.

"You're jealous of them, aren't you?" You beam. Arms linked protectively with Yara's.

"I've no idea of what you mean." Yara says, not meeting your eyes because she's too busy having a staring contest with the person you were just talking to.

Gets you.. questionable gifts when she goes on weird adventures alone.

"My love, I got this for you during my travels!"

"WHAT THE FU—"

It's a dragons tooth. More than twice the size of your doorway.

"The white gleam reminded me of the depth in your eyes— okay- please stop screaming- I love you—!"

Doesn't really do spooning because she prefers to see your face before resting.

She likes to lock hands whilst bumping her forehead to yours, almost like a cat.

If you prefer spooning though she's almost ALWAYS the big spoon, no matter how big or small you are, she WILL hold you damn it. (It makes her feel calm knowing she has you in her arms.)

She won't say it but she panics a little when she wakes up and can't find you. She puts the closest article of clothing on and looks for you like a lost puppy.

"Surely you got enough breakfast for the two of us, yes?" She skips up to you when she finds you in the kitchen, as if she wasn't just about to beg Jerry to search for you.

Her kisses at first are soft, rushed and hesitant. Cheek and knuckle kisses are her go-to. Everytime the two of you part, however, you can see that she wants more.

"Yara, you know you can kiss me right?"

"OH—"

Slow and sensual kisses, she craves them. Even when she tries to stop, she finds herself nipping at your lips again and again. She's not extremely needy, she just finds it freeing to get carried away sometimes.

Dates with Yara are usually ones spent outside, she loves hiking and adventure. But if you're not into that then she isn't opposed to just going on walks to a cafe, or staying inside and making dinner together.

Her ideal dates are when she can teach you something, she has the most fun when she can teach you swordfighting, or go flying with you and Jerry.

She doesn't like to have you in her work with the Justice League, despite the fact she likes her allies she isn't very fond of the whole big team up stuff. She'd gladly introduce you to the Justice League but like HELL will she let them hire you for anything.

"Don't strain yourself with these matters my Love, I don't want you stressed. How about we go to a cafe?"

Overall, Yara is very loving and open as a significant other.
