Oooh that's a great question that I keep butting up against myself! I've come up with two possible answers but haven't decided which one I want to go with, or if I want to maybe mash them together.

A) Ciel was still kidnapped as a child like in canon, and he's using the club as a way to move past the trauma of it. This could be especially fun if the kidnapping is what introduced him to BDSM in the first place. Going this route would inspire a more emotional, character focused plot as Ciel would need to overcome a lot of fucked up stuff as he learns about proper BDSM etiquette and how to safely push, test, and place his own boundaries (and then prbly destroy them for Sebastian lbr these two are not known for the healthiness of their relationship). He would still walk into that club on his first night like he owns it tho.

B) Either because he's working for someone else (ie a character filling the role of the queen in canon) or because he's taken the mission upon himself, Ciel is at the kink club to catch predators. Perhaps the club caters to a certain aristocratic clientele that normally doesn't face any kind of consequences. Well, Ciel is 16 and doesn't mind taking some of these people home and photographing them in compromising situations to finally make those consequences happen. Except there's this stupidly attractive dungeon master who keeps cockblocking him! This route might be more plot heavy. It could be played humorously, or very very seriously if there's one person in particular Ciel is trying to catch.

Option C) is to blend these together. Maybe the predator Ciel is trying to catch is the man who ran the kidnapping ring that took Ciel as a child? Idk.
