Tribe syllables
Here's my cheat sheet for naming characters, cities, landmarks, and so on. It includes the original syllables for each tribe, as well as the ones I've added based on the culture each tribe is inspired by, since I didn't have enough syllables to work with. The canon ones will be listed first, followed by a semicolon, and then the ones I've added. Do as you wish with them. Also, either a dash or an apostrophe will be added in the syllables list if I use them in names.

The Tope Hunger Games
So I've been thinking about this for a while now. I've been getting back into the Hunger Games after reading the books for myself recently (my mom read them to us when we were kids) and I'm so in love with this series. Suzanne Collins really created something truly amazing.
The great thing about Polytopia? It fits into the Hunger Games universe really well! The twelve normal tribes make up the twelve districts, and the four special tribes make up the Capitol. Every tribe specializes in one thing, which can be used as that district's purpose, like in the books. They really have mixed together so seamlessly, it's been a really fun writing experience.
This will be the masterlist for the Tope Hunger Games, as well as some general information I'm putting together in my canonverse. Likewise, if you want to read about a specific character in this setting, go to their tribe's masterlist to find their story. All of my OCs are the ones in these stories, so hopefully you're already familiar with some of the characters.
Real quick, here's a ranking of the tribes, what districts they're in, and what they specialize in.
Xin-xi: District 1, mining, Callow, poor, unskilled
Imperius: District 2, military, Career, wealthy, skilled
Bardur: District 3, hunting/livestock, Career, well-to-do, skilled
Oumaji: District 4, construction, Callow, well-to-do, generally unskilled
Kickoo: District 5, fishing, Callow, poor, generally unskilled
Hoodrick: District 6, textiles, Callow, poor, unskilled
Luxidoor: District 7, riches, Career, wealthy, skilled
Vengir: District 8, smithery, Callow, poor, generally unskilled
Zebasi: District 9, agriculture, Callow, poor, unskilled
Ai-Mo: District 10, medicine, Callow, well-to-do, unskilled
Quetzali: District 11, poultry, Callow, poor, unskilled
Yadakk: District 12, transportation, Callow, well-to-do, unskilled
The four mystical tribes, in my universe, compete every Quarter Quell. Otherwise they're escorts, Capitolites, all that jazz.
Aquarion: District 13, aquatism, Career, wealthy, skilled
Elyrion: District 14, enchantment, Career, wealthy, skilled
Polaris: District 15, frostwork, Career, wealthy, skilled
Cymanti: District 16, mycelium, Career, wealthy, skilled
Hope this helps! I tend to use the districts instead of the tribe names, so it may get confusing. How I picture them looking, as well as what their tribe land looks like, remains canon. It's basically just Polytopia in the Hunger Games, with THG weapons and technology and stuff.
Like I said, the stories (once I get them) will be linked both here, and on each tribe's specific masterlist. This will probably take a while to update, since I want to write all of their original stories first, so you have a better understanding of their personalities. I just couldn't wait to post this.

Introducing the Yadakk
Here are some major characters for the Yadakk tribe! There are others of course, including others that are mentioned quite frequently, but these are the ones I want you to really be familiar with.
First up is Arktja, our main character. He and his sister take their caravan across the Square, selling their trinkets and trying to make enough money to sustain the caravan. They don't make enough for a house or an education, so this is their only option left. The Horn Trading Company, however, is becoming more intense on monitoring caravans, and while travelling with a party of others, they're ambushed and attacked, some taken as slaves, the rest left to die.
Arktja is one of the ones left, and he basically goes crazy trying to track his sister down. He had no idea he had such potential for darkness, but Arktja goes from sweet and unassuming to cold and unforgiving. He's not sure he'll ever find his way back.
Now for Umezsh. Umezsh is Arktja's younger sister, both of them abandoned when they were young. Umezsh is kind, innocent, and by no means a warrior, and everyone who meets her loves her and wants to protect her. However, she's captured by the HTC and forced into a trafficking ring, which includes other tribes.
Even in custody, she's a light in the darkness. Umezsh is what brings people hope and courage, and so long as she's around, everyone believes things will be okay. That is, until she gets sick.
Now for Kiurkkan. She was also trafficked by the HTC, and she managed to escape, unable to take anyone with her. Her entire family was killed by the HTC, and she has a vendetta against it. She and Arktja team up to take down the company and free everyone in captivity. Later, she becomes the Chancellor of the HTC, trying to run it fairly and fix a tarnished reputation, and doing right by the people who were hurt.
Kiurkkan has a grittiness to her that only the most seasoned nomadic Yadakk have. She sees the world for what it is, but she doesn't despair. Instead, she does her part to make it better, and to uplift the people who need it the most.
Lastly is Antsa. Yet another victim of trafficking, he was taken when he was very young. Forced to work for nobility and beaten if he stepped out of line, Antsa was familiar with abuse early on. When he finally escaped at sixteen, nearly ten years after he was taken, he became a pirate of sorts, attacking HTC caravans and stealing from them whenever he could. He isn't benevolent though, and instead runs with a group of thieves who do what they want, when they want. He also happens to be Arktja's love interest.
