Here's my cheat sheet for naming characters, cities, landmarks, and so on. It includes the original syllables for each tribe, as well as the ones I've added based on the culture each tribe is inspired by, since I didn't have enough syllables to work with. The canon ones will be listed first, followed by a semicolon, and then the ones I've added. Do as you wish with them. Also, either a dash or an apostrophe will be added in the syllables list if I use them in names.

Flags of Polytopia Tribes Part 2

The feather is supposed to be the same as the ones they have in their headdresses. **Hoodrick:** Boring symbolism here, the arrows are sort of obvious. I chose the colours based off the flag of Nottingham, where the myth of Robin Hood is set. **Luxidoor:** Purple is the colour associated with the luxidoor people, and gold represents wealth. The symbol in the middle is designed to look like a gemstone cut in the shape of the sun. **Vengir:** The three points of the tongued swallow tail represent the three points on vendor helmets, and the black and white design is shaped to look like a sword. (This is probably my second favourite of the eight I've done so far, behind the oumaji flag)

China Mac & Method Man “Wu Tang Remix,” BlocBoy JB “Still Crippin” & More | Daily Visuals 1.6.20

China Mac’s been dropping his own remix versions to classic Wu-Tang Clan instrumentals for a minute now and luckily for him an OG member of Shaolin was listening and decided to link up with the Chinese rapper. For the visuals to “Wu Tang Remix,” China Mac and M-E-T-H-O-D Man get together at an underground fight club to drop bars with C-Mac sporting that old school white eye contact lens that Method made famous.

So I have a fun little announcement to make! I recently redownloaded pinterest for drink recipes (I'm a junior mixologist in training, don't ya know) and I decided to make a board for Polytopia aesthetics! If anyone is interested, the username is allthingstope (pinterest only allows for letters and numbers), and it's a single board with each tribe in a different section. I put pins in based on tribe color, cultures they're inspired by, land and terrain, and so on. Just something fun I felt like doing, so check it out if you'd like!

The Tope Hunger Games

So I've been thinking about this for a while now. I've been getting back into the Hunger Games after reading the books for myself recently (my mom read them to us when we were kids) and I'm so in love with this series. Suzanne Collins really created something truly amazing.

The great thing about Polytopia? It fits into the Hunger Games universe really well! The twelve normal tribes make up the twelve districts, and the four special tribes make up the Capitol. Every tribe specializes in one thing, which can be used as that district's purpose, like in the books. They really have mixed together so seamlessly, it's been a really fun writing experience.

This will be the masterlist for the Tope Hunger Games, as well as some general information I'm putting together in my canonverse. Likewise, if you want to read about a specific character in this setting, go to their tribe's masterlist to find their story. All of my OCs are the ones in these stories, so hopefully you're already familiar with some of the characters.

Real quick, here's a ranking of the tribes, what districts they're in, and what they specialize in.

Xin-xi: District 1, mining, Callow, poor, unskilled

Imperius: District 2, military, Career, wealthy, skilled

Bardur: District 3, hunting/livestock, Career, well-to-do, skilled

Oumaji: District 4, construction, Callow, well-to-do, generally unskilled

Kickoo: District 5, fishing, Callow, poor, generally unskilled

Hoodrick: District 6, textiles, Callow, poor, unskilled

Luxidoor: District 7, riches, Career, wealthy, skilled

Vengir: District 8, smithery, Callow, poor, generally unskilled

Zebasi: District 9, agriculture, Callow, poor, unskilled

Ai-Mo: District 10, medicine, Callow, well-to-do, unskilled

Quetzali: District 11, poultry, Callow, poor, unskilled

Yadakk: District 12, transportation, Callow, well-to-do, unskilled

The four mystical tribes, in my universe, compete every Quarter Quell. Otherwise they're escorts, Capitolites, all that jazz.

Aquarion: District 13, aquatism, Career, wealthy, skilled

Elyrion: District 14, enchantment, Career, wealthy, skilled

Polaris: District 15, frostwork, Career, wealthy, skilled

Cymanti: District 16, mycelium, Career, wealthy, skilled

Hope this helps! I tend to use the districts instead of the tribe names, so it may get confusing. How I picture them looking, as well as what their tribe land looks like, remains canon. It's basically just Polytopia in the Hunger Games, with THG weapons and technology and stuff.

Like I said, the stories (once I get them) will be linked both here, and on each tribe's specific masterlist. This will probably take a while to update, since I want to write all of their original stories first, so you have a better understanding of their personalities. I just couldn't wait to post this.

Introducing the Hoodrick

Welcome to my new segment of introducing some of my more major characters in the Hoodrick! There are, of course, more characters than the ones listed below, but these are the ones that deserve some highlights.

Let's start with Jia, the main character. Jia is one of three characters I named prematurely, which is why his name is so weird. He lives on his parents' farm, borh of whom died in the Hood-Bard War, with his sister, maintaining crops for the troops. That's the only reason none of them have been drafted, until some soldiers see Jia during target practice by the woods near his home, and he's so good that they take him to fight anyway.

Jia has a strong moral compass, and he believes very strongly in doing what's right for the majority of people. He's never been in favor of the war, especially not since his parents died in it, and he's okay with doing the wrong thing for the right reason. Depending on what that thing is, of course.

Next we have Leyber, Jia's younger sister. Leyber is fiery and sarcastic, and most Hoodrick consider her to be too mean and not valuing Kindness, one of their principle values. In truth, Leyber has seen being sacrifice honesty for being nice, and she thinks honesty is more important. She's also a little awkward and doesn't always know how to be nice.

She and Jia are really close, even if they fight a lot. When he's drafted to go fight, she quickly takes control of the farm, hiring some teens who need to support their families, and running things smoothly and efficiently. She actually manages to expand the farm a little by the time Jia returns.

Here we have Rydon. He was drafted as well, and he and Jia end up in the same unit. Rydon is exceedingly sweet, more so than most Hoodrick, so much so that he'd a vegetarian. He wants to do the right thing, to help people, and that's the reason he and Jia become friends so quickly. He's also extremely loyal, and will follow Jia just about anywhere, so long as their intentions remain pure.

Lastly is Ryolme. She comes from a middle class family, living in the city where Jia and Rydon are training, while her father and brothers are their commanding officers. She's against the war too, even though her family is very active in it, and she plots with Jia on how they can take down their corrupt government and end the ceaseless war. Naturally, with her kind and peaceful nature, Ryolme becomes a great leader one day.

Hoodrick design

To the left is Jia, to the right is Leyber. They both have tan skin with light freckles, light brown hair, orange eyes, and dark orange and dark green clothes. Initially, I forgot their color was green, so they had orange and tan clothes, which looked boring. Also, I named Jia before naming any other character, which is why his name is nothing like any other Hoodrick name.

Hello, and welcome to my blog, all-things-tope! I've been a fan of Polytopia for a little over a year now, but I'm not much of a strategist or a gamer, so I just focus on the fanfiction/fanart aspects. Reddit has a good base for the strategy of the game, but there's not much of anything else, anywhere else, so this is my effort to create an environment for people like me :)

This post will be a masterlist of my personal characters, stories, lore, and so on. Keep in mind that I'm a college student and the only one running this blog, as well as someone who deals with depression and executive dysfunction. While I'll try to be present on here, don't be surprised if there are lapses of activity. It doesn't mean the blog is dead or inactive, it just means I'm either sad or busy lol

Finally, this page will likely be under works for a while, as I keep adding new things and attempting to write stories (which will be posted to AO3 and linked here) in a timely manner. I make no promises, but I'll try.
