*raises hand* yes same. have a ton of robot ocs i fixate over which i... honestly use to distance myself from the reality of my trans body. but im working on self acceptance, and trying to reown my body through working out... its still a long hard road though. robots let me have a little escapism when its too tough to deal with

i think i use it as a way to process my feelings and stuff in a much less negative way. rather than as a way to distance myself from.. myself. because robots are cool. cyborgs are cool. and in some media they experience some level of disconnect with their new robo bodies. which is #relatable but it makes me think if a trans person was placed in a situation like genji's or fiora's or any of the previously human characters in xbcx would they experience the same disconnect and unhappiness or would it be much easier for them to deal with? some thoughts i spend a lot of time on.
