2: Does he have any daily rituals?

I'm not sure he has any rituals per se, outside whatever habits were ingrained into him in boot and over the span of his career.

I Do think he's a 'Get up, down a coffee, get to work and then shower after work' kinda guy so he can sit around and feel clean.

7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time

Depends on his mood, really. He strikes me as an ambivert, equally enjoying a night with Palmer either playing games in his quarters or hitting a bar, or a night in by himself watching Martian TV show reruns or practicing cello. Or even doing nothing but falling asleep on the sofa.

He's a big fan of wasting time, as long as you're off the UNSC's clock and there aren't like, lives at stake. He strikes me as the sort who won't rush into something if circumstances don't demand it, and I feel like that's one of very few things about him that gets on Palmer's nerves now and then and she has accused him of 'wasting time' more than once.

33: Concept of home and family?

For Lasky, the concept of a home is any place where he feels safe and comfortable, but he does miss Mars as the home where he was born and raised. Being a dedicated officer like he is, I'm not totally sure he'd have a home outside of the quarters of whatever ship he's serving on, especially since being assigned to the Infinity and her long-haul deep space missions. He would like a permanent place of his own to come home to though, I think.

His concept of family is pretty loose by "traditional" standards. He didn't have a "typical" nuclear family growing up, and from what little info canon gives us, it seems like he and Cadmon mostly stuck to themselves since Audrey was off on duty a lot of the time (I have yet to have any ideas regarding like a dumb AI or a human guardian/caretaker they may have had). But over the thirty-odd years between the battle of Circinus and where we are at present, he's probably had more than one 'siblings in arms' experiences, and as a result the term 'family' includes anyone he's close to and cares about.

Tell us more about how Lasky shows he cares about people? Does he tell or show? Or is he total awkward turtle about it?

He just. CARES, man.

He shows and tells. The way he puts himself between chief and del rio when del rio is demanding cortana's chip. The way he gives them the pelican gunship. What he says to John at the end of 4. The way he and Sarah poke at each other. Im havin a hard time thinkin of other examples but like.

He takes care of his people. He talks to them. He's not aloof or distant. He makes sure they get what they need both on and off the battlefield within reason.

I like to think he makes sure the SIIs and IIIs are well cared for, that they eat more than 'enough' and are treated like the humans they are. I also think he'd be one to seek out the Swords of Sangehelios and chat with them when he can, and he's always down for coffee and gossip or philosophical discussion with Thel 'Vadam. I think once he gets used to dealing with Roland's personality, he doesn't just treat him like Spacefuture Siri.

I don't ship him and Sarah romantically, but they definitely parent each other all the time, making sure the other is taking care of themselves and has someone to talk to or lean on.
