Happy 20th Anniversary Winx Club omg!!!! I didn't have time to make anything but here!! It's my Stella shelf!! And some of my recent fanart of my favourite fairy 🥰
So I not so recently got the Winx club pc game!!!! This so something I’ve been wanting for YEARS!!! I had a chance to get it when I was a kid at a flea marker and I was to embarrassed to ask for it and when I finally told my mom about she was like well you should have asked cuz I would have got it. We may have tried to go back and look for it but I’m not to sure just know it did NOT come home with me that day lol. So happy to add It to my Winx club collection :)) also closer look at the magic talking fairy played also also now I need a pc! Also also also I love the foxbox to 4kidstv switch love both logos tho.
I found so many good stuff at the balcony, I didn't even remember some of it😳😳
Also I need some help to recognize the dolls. I'm not sure if bratzs are original like I found some shoes that look like they're from bratz but two bodies without heads don't look like they need these kind of shoes :// The same thing with two Bloom dolls and Moxxie doll, I'm not sure if they're original, so um if there's some kind of an expert I would like to know anything about them🥺
So, I’ve spent the entire Sunday afternoon fixing the hair on my old Winx dolls, instead of doing any of the mountain of schoolwork I have.
Least work was Musa’s hair. It was only mildly tangled and dusty, so I gave it a wash and brushed it out. Took maybe a little over 30 minutes, all together.
Then Bloom, who was significantly more tangled and also had a lot more hair in general. I’ve spent a little over an hour on her.
Here they are, drying off.
And now, Flora.
Flora’s hair was the worst of them all, and also took me the longest to do (all together over 2 hours).
Her hair was pretty much matted in places, so I didn’t have high hopes going into it.
Here she is, after a wash and over an hour of painstakingly brushing her out.
It looks pretty good in the picture, but it was incredibly frizzy and the ends still tangled as soon as they touched.
So, my mom suggested using heat (first clothes iron on lowest setting, then hair straightner, which took a bit longer to find).
Luckily, Flora’s hair is pretty high quality, so it handled the heat like a champ to this result:
There’s still tangled bits at the end, but overall, she looks much better than I ever dared to imagine.
And here’s all three together, with hair ties for headbands to keep their hair down.
(Yes, Bloom is missing an arm and their clothes are kind of a mess. I’ll work on it over Christmas break, hopefully).
(As the star of the show, it’s only fitting she had a doll of herself too.)
This dress is used for the finale of the show. All Carolina’s costumes were previously used in competitions or the Olympics. This dress was worn in the European Figure Skating Championships at the Torwar ice rink in Warsaw 27 January 2007. Carolina, at 19, won gold.
How fitting is it that the dress has a beautiful dragon design on?
Unusual post but i’ve been steadily collecting winx dolls over the last 6 months and i finally completed my little collection of the 6 main characters with tecna which i shipped here all the way from france (for like less then 5 euros but still) and i’m so fucking happy i have to show everyone my blorbos and i’m gonna make so much cute clothing for them
Layla and Stella are the first dolls that i found at a thrift store back in december 2021. I decided to get them out of childhood nostalgia, and it (alongside a lucky musa find a month later) spurred me to start collecting them (thank god i didn’t find the original dolls from the 2000’s and collect them i would have no more money). Both dolls are in great condition, but Stella’s soft bendy arms do like to pop out sometimes. Here i will be focusing on Layla.
I cleaned and boil washed the dolls, though I was never satisfied with Layla’s loose, barely there wave. It stands up very unnaturally and doesn’t really resemble the characters original textured curls. I am, however, very happy with the outfit I came up with for her pretty much right away. A bright green crop top as well as pants in a muted blue, with some nautical patterns on it? A little tote bag with pink on it to match her lipstick? Very much something she might actually wear in the show.
Still, the hair was an issue for me. It brought down the look.
For a very long time i had her hair in these braids. I liked it! It looks nicer than the floppy curl, and makes her feel a bit more like herself. However I did put them in in an attempt to curl them over time. This didn’t work. Eventually i brought up the tutorials again and found one I hadn’t tried: bantu knots. Good for many curl types, mostly depending on how large the strands are you’re curling. I boiled her 3 times over to get the curls to set and make sure they’d never go floppy again and it fucking worked and she looks amazing.
(I also made her this green dress which I’m not sure i wanna keep the way it is cause it really isn’t as flowy and drapey as i wanted it)
A couple of weeks ago I found these four Winx Club dolls for a very nice price. The quality is pretty cheap, to be honest. Their hair is really tangled, their clothes are horrendous in every way, their shoes are too big... but their faces are cute and they are Winx. My fave is Tecna. 🧚
