This month 38 years ago, the Chicago Bears team recorded a video, "The Super Bowl Shuffle." Though the Bears did go on to win that year's SB XX, the video was recorded almost two months before the game -- before they even knew they'd be in it, much less who'd they be playing.
Tumblr media
Not all Bears players participated in the making of the video, though many big name players like RB Walter Payton, QB Jim McMahon, WR Willie Gault, LB Mike Singletary and DT William "Refrigerator' Perry did. The song was actually nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. In the end, almost $300,000 in proceeds from the sale of the record and video were donated to local Chicago families in need.

I finally got it!
I missed out on the signed version, but managed to snag the general reissue of Something Corporate's album, Leaving Through the Window.
Now, it wasn't cheap but I've now spent over £100 to secure this and their other album North. It may sound completely bonkers but I truly love these albums and they've been on my vinyl bucket list for about 15 years.
I love collecting/playing vinyl but after this I don't think I can warrant forking out these prices again :(
I blame import fees lol.

I only have the basic understanding of the WWE Drama because the intricacies of corporate bylaws and boards and stocks etc bore the fuck out of me, but it’s still wild as fuck. No one knows anything yet but I keep thinking about Regal. He *just* left and if the rumors are true (and I caution every fan to take ANY dirt sheet rumor with one of them Himalayan Salt lamps) that Vince is seeking to be in charge of creative again all I can picture is this:

“[WON] Vince is already back in his office suggesting changes. He has brought back some of his old staff such as Brad Blum, his chief of staff, as well.”
Lol, lmao even.
I wonder if William Regal can just pretend he never left AEW in the first place?
Do you think TMDK still has room for Bronson Reed?

I’m a big Something Corporate fan and both Leaving Through the Window and North are two of my favourite pop punk albums of all time.
Both of which have been on my vinyl bucket list for well over a decade, but the resale prices are absolutely astronomical (£199 each!).
The band (who are getting back together for the 2024 When We Were Young festival) announced a new pressing of both albums on vinyl.
Sadly I wasn’t quick enough to snag Leaving Through the Window but managed to get a signed copy of North for £55 (yes, I’m daft enough to spend that on a single album).
I’m hoping that Leaving Through the Window gets another (non-signed) general release. With both selling out so fast it goes to show that the demand and love for this band is still going strong!
