Mike Cooper was born in 1943 in London, England. He began his musical career in the 1960s playing folk guitar in London clubs. He then began to explore new musical styles and use electronic instruments, including synthesizers and drum machines. He also began to take an interest in improvised and experimental music.

In the 1970s, he released several solo albums, including "Places I Know / Bluebeat Bolero" and "White Shadows in the South Seas," which were well-received by critics. He also collaborated with other artists and bands such as The Blueflames, The Wild Tchoupitoulas, and The Recedents.

In the 1980s and 1990s, he continued to explore new musical styles, including electronic music and music for dance. He also continued to perform live around the world, including in Europe, Australia, and the United States.

Over the years, he continued to produce music and perform live, releasing albums and EPs and recording live sessions and performances for radio. He is considered an influential experimental musician in the music scene and continues to have an active career.

This is a very evocative song. But seeing them perform it together gives it a deeper dimension.
