I’m tired of my coworkers not finishing the work they promised and leaving the team scrambling to create curriculum last minute I’m tired of doing the brunt of the work for three different courses when my coworkers are only teaching the one course I’m tired of my coworkers using the work I created and the data I compiled on their gradwork that’ll justify an increase in their pay when I get no pay increases for my own work I’m tired of the workload I’m tired of the hypocrisy I’m tired of the lack of compensation I’m tired of the burnout of education

#personal #why would anyone stay in public education at this point #it’s crushing me #i wish the students were the only stressors #it makes sense when a teenager doesn’t have their shit together #why do i gotta run disaster relief for my coworkers who have higher degrees and get paid more than i do #why do i gotta pay a bunch of money and sacrifice two years of free time to earn comparable pay when my work is so much better #why my coworkers get a masters and get worse at their job like????? #please just finish creating an assignment when you say you’re gonna do it #i can’t very well stare at my students and admit that the test grade assignment our team was supposed to share didn’t get done #i hate making shit up on the spot and watching all the flaws show as the kids try to complete the work #i can’t stay in this field #too much work for no money #and people keep leaving me looking like a fool in front an entire classroom of kids #or scrambling to do work on the weekends like any pay or benefits here justify that kind of overtime #godDAMN
