Harry is MIA do larries don’t talk about him, but it’s not like he was parading around new york with his girlfriend!! And it’s not like he was with olivia for two whole years and got a tattoo on his body with her name!!! LMAO. He lost his mind as well. So disappointing. I agree with your unpopular opinion
how nice of them to take turns in their desperation. As much as I think Louis still has some redeeming qualities, harry has completely lost himself. that man is nasty and I can't wait for him to flop :)

very happy Matt decided to clarify his stance on the genocide of the Palestinian people rn. Pretty unhappy with the way he worded it, who he centered in his video, and disappointed to see the responses to it on Twitter.
kinda scared to even post about it bc CR fans can get so defensive about their favorite white people that they can often leave little room for criticism or nuance. but man I have thoughts.
#lemme just say. if you have a public platform that has set a precedent for philanthropic work. messages of positivity and love.#and have called attention to various political and social conflicts *in stream*. & whose employees and cast members are vocal#on socials about political topics#then it is NOT unreasonable for fans to expect them to address one of the deadliest orchestrated conflicts in recent history#a literal genocide is happening. thanks in part to the US.#it is good that they donated as a company and as individuals. so good!#but to everyone saying that publicizing good deeds like donations is virtue signaling or demanding CR cast to show their support is#or that activism shouldnt be all about what you post bc then it becomes performative#are kinda missing the point. and theyre not listening to palestinians at all#a huge issue with this conflict & the way its being received in the western world - ESPECIALLY the US bc of its partnership w israel -#is the sheer amount of disgusting minsinformation and propaganda convincing ppl this genocide is either not that bad or that its necessary#everyday citizens CANNOT change foreign policy. we cant do anything!#so what have Palestinians been asking us to do?? SPREAD AWARENESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. MAKE PEOPLE AWARE. UPLIFT PALESTINIAN VOICES. SHARE LINKS#SHOW PPL THE TRUTH.#and yes its hard! its difficult to watch what theyre going thru. but we HAVE to.#i didnt rlly like matts statement. he said he didnt have the spoons to engage in the discourse. which i get. god i get it.#but ive also seen many many creators/influencers who are also disabled or whose families are directly involved gather their spoons to help#and no one was asking CR to harm themselves in the name of helping palestine. we only wanted them to spread awareness#bc the comments on their tweet about finally donating were full of mostly white centrist takes not able to see any benefit to donating or#addressing the issue at all. which is EXACTLY why CR should addresss it. bc they can reach so many who dont understand#but theyd been radio silent for almost 5 months. i didnt like that he didnt really apologize. i didnt like that he centered himself#i didnt like his lowkey flippant language either. saying all that.. ridiculousness in regards to a genocide not well worded.#but i dont feel right holding that against him. should he have thought it through better? sure but i get it#& unfortunately his parting message left a bad taste in my mouth - one of positivity & self care & hugging each other#nice important words but it didnt feel like he was talking about ppl who are affected by this conflict. but rather ppl who are watching#it just felt like a very white thing to say in response to this. we are not burdened and easily victimized bc of it#we are responsible. and so we must center palestinians.#if i were him i wldnt have gone in detail about how hard the palestinian genocide is for me to watch.#but thats just me#*CORRECTION: radio silent for almost 4 months

You’re totally right Tumblr doesn’t manage the for you section. But this is so fucked up
https://www.tumblr.com/elitefourkylewantstobattle/732071926522167296
Typically when things like this happen on here it is because the post (and person) were mass-reported.
Reminder that my original owlvid blog was deleted because of fatphobic weirdos spam-reporting my blog when I was making posts about BMI being made by eugenicists who wanted to make Americans look more physically imposing to other countries and that many people classified as “morbidly obese” by the scale do not have high enough levels of body fat to actually impact their health, and that BMI and similar “ideal weight” metrics don’t take the weight of muscle into account and the weight loss trend has caused millions of people to develop eating disorders throughout the years.
A video like the one posted in the link you provided is going to be controversial because zionists won’t like it and the wording used in the video is unfortunately very easy to make look antisemitic. The section of the video where the speaker started saying “this percentage of Jews think they’re smarter and better than everyone” or whatever does align dangerously with a lot of antisemitic beliefs, so because he didn’t continue to say Israelis or Israeli Jews to speak against this nationalistic culture, it makes it extremely simple for zionists to point to that and spin the entire video as being lies and antisemitic propaganda. That leads to mass-reports against it.
I don’t doubt staff has Zionist sympathizers among them simply because staff is largely if not exclusively American and it is very difficult for people in this country to access accurate information about the Israel Palestine conflict because the government sponsors so much propaganda supporting Israel and against Arabs and Muslims in general, leading to a large amount of Americans drinking the koolaid and believing Israel to be justified. However, there is also a good chance that this person and the post were mass-reported and taken down automatically because staff doesn’t always back-check to ensure someone or their posts were actually dangerous if they reach a certain threshold of reports they just terminate everything.

I have what’s going to be a really unpopular take but please just hear me out. Lately a lot of fellow Jewish bloggers on this website have (rightfully!!) been getting annoyed by random people going into their inboxes and asking if they’re Zionist, how they feel about Israel, etc. And I totally empathize with that because I’m an anti-Zionist Jew so I spend a lot of time correcting people’s assumptions that I must support Israel because I’m Jewish. Furthermore, I want Zionism to stop being seen as a central, undeniable part of being Jewish because that makes Jews like me feel pretty unwelcome. And I am aware that those asks often accuse us of dual loyalty, an antisemitic stereotype. So I’m not saying bloggers should have to answer those asks, or that they can’t get mad about them.
However, I think bloggers are wrong when they say that they can’t affect or change what happens in Israel because they’re American Jews (or otherwise diasporic, but it is almost always Americans who say this), not Israeli Jews.
Look. It’s one thing if you just don’t want to get involved (although I am totally judging you). But I can name a billion different ways American Jews have changed things in Israel, and stuff we can do right now! For example:
- protesting our tax dollars paying for weapons and bombs Israel uses to kill Palestinians, by pressuring our elected representatives, senators, and president into taking a stand against Israel
- supporting the Not on Our Dime Act, which is aiming to prohibit tax-deductible donations from being used to fund illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank
- working to change Jewish studies curriculum and summer camp + youth group programming to provide kids and students with more options than just Zionism, and a more complete + less biased education about Israel
- no tech for apartheid: Jewish Google workers protesting against Project Nimbus, which helps the Israeli government with surveillance of Palestinians
- using our position to educate people and make our opinions heard, so we don’t let Jewish Zionist organizations speak for us all and influence what gentiles think about Israel and current-day antisemitism
- I have my own opinions about the recent protests over Netanyahu’s judicial reform, but lots of American Jews supported them and they were definitely effective
- and that’s just a few of the many ways I’ve seen American Jews work towards creating real change in Israel. are we the only ones who can do this? no. but gentiles can’t shape the future of the American Jewish community, which altogether has quite a lot of influence in Israel. only we can do those things.
Saying that as American Jews our voices and actions don’t matter when it comes to Israel is actually such a weak, lame-ass excuse for refusing to take a stance for or against Israel. This isn’t something we get to be neutral about; silence equals support for Zionism.
That being said, I can’t control what individual people do. If you seriously want to refuse to support Palestine, fine. Whatever. Just please stop using “American Jews can’t help anyways!” as your excuse when that’s such a blatantly false claim.

Just as a reminder as I've just noticed myself - arab.org has more pages to support on
In case you're unfamiliar with how this site works, it confirms ad revenue via your clicks, which allows them to donate money to various funds
These go to:
Children -> UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund)
Fight Poverty -> UNDP (United Nations Development Programme)
Environment -> Greenpeace MENA (Middle East and North Africa)
Palestine -> UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency [for Palestine Refugees in the Near East])
Refugees -> UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees)
Women -> UN Women
Do more with your daily clicks! You can help each one once per individual (perhaps per IP address?) per day, letting you help out with six things at once?
US-specific advice for helping Palestine below cut.
Side note I'm keeping beneath the cut since it's relevant to US folks only: if you're really determined to help Palestine, vote for Dr. Cornel West, Ph.D. for President of the United States.
He's the most openly vocal about a free Palestine and is the only candidate who has demonstrably shown he is the most committed and prepared to immediately cease US support to Israel.
Joe Biden isn't going to cave if he gets re-elected. We all know that. Voting third party is a lot less risky than you've been taught - the two party system can replace one or both parties with new parties if they lose public favour.
We have both the people and the ability to unseat the Democratic party and install Socialism, and between Socialism and Republicans, Socialism is going to lock in place immediately and become the dominant political force in America.
Cornel West's Platform
Cornel West's Volunteer Events
Cornel West's Ballot Access Tracker and Ballot Access Plans
Tumblr thread I have of Primary/Caucus polling dates in the US (includes US territories)
Not on your Primary/Caucus ballot? Write-in, "Cornel West," on your ballot, or urge your Caucus representatives to do the same.
In a state where it's difficult for Independent candidates to get ballot access? Dr. Cornel West, Ph.D. thought ahead and has created a new party for those states called the Justice for All Party.
(Addendum: Claudia de la Cruz is not a viable alternative. The Party for Socialism and Liberation has a Conservative 5th Column and has frequent issues with discrimination.)
Free Palestine. Vote for Cornel West.

I have gotten so many messages from folks who see what's happening to Jews right now, how literally any statement from us that isn't straight up "death to Israel!" "tear it down!" "river to the sea!" etc. - no matter how tempered in other ways or critical of the Israeli government it is - anything even mildly supportive of the terrorism victims/their families in their grief and/or Israelis deserving to live is getting dog piled to an absurd degree. And yes, that primarily targets Jews (because we're the ones primarily speaking on it) but it definitely is also hitting anyone not Jewish who says this as well. Immediately, overnight, the left has made any position that respects everyone's human rights and allows Jews room to grieve our murdered and missing family and friends without telling us they deserved to die in terrible ways completely radioactive. Like literally even the most milquetoaste statement attracts numerous hysterical commentators. And because it's so toxic, people are afraid to speak up.
And I've now heard from a lot of gentiles that they had no idea how deep the rot of leftist antisemitism went, how they've been seeing this unfold with horror, and are afraid to speak up.
Here's what I'll say: those messages give me a lot of strength, because they help me remember that I'm not insane, that this is horrendous, and we are seeing in real time exactly who would have helped the Gestapo find us if they were sufficiently convinced that this is "decolonization." That yes, the backlash really *is* that bad. I hear that affirmation and I appreciate it, and I understand your fear, because it was mine too. I myself strongly considered at the beginning not saying anything about this until I could do so without being harassed. (I decided against that because I am physically incapable of shutting up when it pertains to my people, but I understand the sentiment.)
Here's the thing: this is never going to end - those people who take seriously the question "are Jews people?" are going to be the vocal minority unless and until we all speak out. Jews are 2% of the US population and 0.2% of the world's population - there are literally more self-identified Nazis in America than there are Jews. I would honestly be surprised if there weren't more horseshoe theory leftists in the world than Jews also.
That being the case, we really do need our allies to speak up with us. I think if we all spoke up at once, it might be enough to break the silence-taken-as-agreement and shame everyone but the avowed antisemites (rather than the thoughtless and opportunistic ones) back into keeping their antisemitism under wraps. Which does have the effect of bringing the mob under control. Jews have faced a ton of mob violence in the form of pogroms throughout our history and backlash to Jewish victimhood. (Tl;dr - "How dare you make me consider how I might have benefited from or been complicit in hurting Jews? This is actually the fault of the Jews." is a disturbingly common thought process.) (You may also be wondering what I mean by "opportunistic;" I can explain in another post if people are interested.)
I know it's scary. I am well aware that you might lose friends from this. I personally decided that if those "friends" valued Jewish lives so little, they were never my friends to begin with, but it's different for non-Jews. They may genuinely be your friends. I'm not demanding you do this for me or my community, but I am asking you to consider what your line is for your friends. And if you are able to talk to them, to ask them what makes this group different from all other groups in terms of deserving compassion and human rights, it may just help us to quiet the mob.
And, if nothing else, just privately reminding those of us who are speaking about it that we are grounded in reality and compassion helps combat the mass gaslighting going on.

Thank you, so much, for you post on the Online Leftists.
As a Jew (not currently in Israel), who's chronically online, I keep seeing some very horrific posts claiming for "death to the Zionists", and that has been.... Not fun.
It was a massive relief to read your post and realize that maybe not *everyone* thinks like this, that maybe this is a very vocal minority.
It made my day so much better.
Thank you, that means a lot to me. If you're interested, you can see how else I have addressed the issue of Western leftist antisemitism in the context of the current conflict in my israel hamas war tag. In short: it's perfectly possible to strongly and consistently criticize the current Israeli government's actions, and to unequivocally call what's happening to Gaza a genocide, without being Nazi-level antisemitic and rabbling on about how Joe Biden is a genocidal fascist and we shouldn't vote for him because you never know, Trump might be "better on Gaza!" (Yes, an actual argument I have repeatedly seen floating around. Delusional does not begin to cover it.)
Anyway, I have done my best to limit my posts on this subject, because it's absolutely crazy-making to even attempt to discuss it online right now and I have better things to do with my one short and precious life, but I have tried to be very clear on the antisemitism issue. Both because it's really not that hard to support Palestinians without frothingly calling for the annihilation of Israel on extremely inaccurate, bigoted, and illogical grounds, and because yes, the amount of antisemitism which prevails utterly unchallenged in leftist spaces nowadays is deeply disheartening and I do not, in any sense of the word, want to be associated with those people. I also think it's important to make clear that indeed, they're a loud and harmful minority, but they don't speak for everyone who identifies as leftist or a supporter of Palestine (though I have trouble with both those labels, particularly "leftist," because of how badly they have been co-opted and the amount of explanation that it takes to make clear how I disagree with the other groups using them). Also that (shock, surprise) it is actually possible to discuss these subjects with a modicum of nuance, complexity, accuracy, and reality, rather than just yelling hysterical misinformation! Who knew.

The deliberate conflation of anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism is a really deeply cowardly attempt to take advantage of well-intentioned progressives' lack of knowledge about the situation in Palestine.
Note that neither of the two chuds who tagged me in that post were specific about the supposed "anti-Semitic dogwhistles" that my blog is apparently "full of". They're talking about my pro-Palestine posts! It doesn't matter that I regularly reblog in support of Jews and to boost Jewish voices, it's my support of Palestine that they have a problem with, and they're hoping that vaguely accusing me of anti-Semitism will cow me into being less vocal. It won't! ( b ._.)b
(Incidentally, the same thing is happening in the UK's Labour party for years: Jeremy Corbyn, the previous party leader, is pro-Palestine too, and as a result both he and the party have been bogged down with accusations of non-specific "anti-Semitism" ever since.)
It's worth noting, too, that my pro-Palestine posts focus on positivity and actionable resources, things like protests, fundraisers, success stories and ways people can help save the lives of civilians, and that they rarely mention Hamas, Israel or Zionists at all. Even this is much unacceptable to them! It's a transparently genocidal movement that will be satisfied with nothing less than the total erasure of Palestine and its people, and it's more important than ever that we don't stop talking about it or lending Palestine our support wherever we can.
Needless to say, these disingenuous cunts are desperate if they're coming after a no-name blogger like me, lmao. Spin on it. 💜

Calls for Action, Call Your Reps: 3/27/24
This is USA-specific, as that is the place I live and know.
Find your elected officials. Remember, emails are good, but calls make the most impact.
Suggested verbiage and strategies for calling your elected officials. We've recently seen politicians, including Biden, start to pivot towards the "Israel is increasing danger to itself" argument in public statements.
Suggested reading for this week's events: Chuck Schumer's speech, the bill that banned UNRWA Funding and the UN vote.
Arguments that I believe would be the most effective at this time:
Netanyahu has been vocally and actively refusing to comply with the UN resolution demanding a ceasefire through the end of Ramadan, and the US needs to stop funding their military in response to the dismissal of UN resolutions and international law.
Israel has been committing war crimes throughout this war, and the US's denial of this on public forums is coming across as hypocritical and morally bankrupt.
The war is expanding further into Lebanon and Jordan, fulfilling the predicted destabilization of the region that experts warned of. The United States, by funding Israel's military without attaching conditions and a risk of withdrawal, is encouraging the risk of a regional war.
In light of the recent bill banning funding to UNRWA, the United States needs to dedicate funding to alternate aid options, such as UNICEF, MSF, or the World Food Programme. We also need to place real, actionable pressure on Israel to stop blocking the borders, particularly the crossing with Egypt where some 2,000 aid trucks are waiting to enter Gaza, some of which have been there for two months, as well as ensuring that the aid trucks stop being turned away for largely arbitrary reasons such as medical scissors or oxygen tanks.
FOR DEM REPS: The movement the US has made in shifting rhetoric over the past two weeks is important, but it's not enough, and we will lose crucial states in the presidential election, along with seats in the House and Senate, leading to a large loss of power in the federal government in the coming terms.
Things to not do:
Accuse people who voted for the UNRWA ban of being pro-genocide. I talk about it in the suggested reading but the short version is that even some pro-Palestine Dems voted for it due to the current Congressional makeup meaning that aid through UNRWA was likely impossible at this time anyway.
Yell or swear at the staffer who answers your call.
Claim that Israel is in no danger from other states and powers in the region.
Linger for too long on the death toll. Yes, it is VERY IMPORTANT, but you will get MAYBE two and a half minutes, and other statements hold more power. Mention that you find it unconscionable, but then move on to something with more impact on your elected officials.
To support my blogging so I can move out of my parents’ house, I do have a ko-fi. Alternately, you can donate to one of the charities I list in this post.

Since I am posting about celebrity drama. Let's do some critical thinking here. I know a lot of people on this website aren't great at it, but let's try.
Guz Khan has been a vocal supporter of Palestine for many many years. He was vocal in his support of Palestine long before he was hired onto Our Flag Means Death. Taika Waititi was brought onboard as an executive producer on Our Flag Means Death before any of the casting had occurred, which means Waititi could have known about Khan's politics and sabotaged his casting, but he did not do that and Khan got the role. Ivan was the character on the crew with the least amount of lines in season 1 and he was on Blackbeard's crew, not Stede's. In season 2 they effectively replaced him with Archie played by Madeleine Sami, who is a New Zealand actor who doesn't have the international TV recognition that Guz Khan has. With all this data, which do we think is more likely:
A) Waititi personally fired Khan because he's a Zionist leveraging his power
B) when OFMD got it's budget cut they had to make some choices about which high payed actors in minor roles they wanted to keep, so they booked Bremner for 4 eps, Faxon for 3 eps, and did not ask Khan back, found ways to write all three of them off, and then brought on Sami for a cheaper contract than they would have gotten from Khan in order to maintain a believably sized pirate crew and keep the ensemble comedy aspects so many people loved from the first season
Like yes Taika Waititi signed a letter to Biden calling for release Israeli hostages from Hamas, the wording of which blamed Hamas for all the violence, and he's liked Gal Gadot's pro Israel insta posts but can we please not make up conspiracies about it. It's starting to sound a hair antisemitic, especially considering that no one is speaking on Con O'Neill (who, unlike Waititi, is not Jewish) also signaling that he's a zionist. he posted pro Israel stuff on his Twitter multiple times just while the Twitter algorithm was showing me his tweets, (from April 2022 until he deactivated for tweeting about a Columbians doing coke later that year).

Lately I have been asked why I haven't spoken about the conflict in Israel and Palestine for this great length of time. Especially after my supremely vocal support of the Palestinian people the past few years. A few people have suggested that it's cowardice. And to be completely honest, it is.
I am, truthfully, exceptionally anxious about navigating my responsibility as a career activist as it pertains to my daily life off of social media:
Being the mother of a small child and a member of my community, in addition to the contribution of my greater voice and platform. The global conversation has reached a level of volatility that I'm having a hard time navigating here AND offline.
During my last tour I had a volume of violent and threatening events occur that resulted in my home being swatted multiple times and required the presence of snipers in the sky during most of my shows that summer. After that happened, I made a conscious decision to protect my family from people who plan to enact violence towards me in disagreement of my opinions.
However. It doesn't sit right with me that a decision I made for my own family is in turn keeping me from vocalizing support for families enduring far worse violence. Families caught between the brawling hands of a militarized government and a terrorist organization, and the diaspora of both parties trying to get through each and every day.
I have no meaningful statement or excuse to make that could justify my weeks of silence this time around. And I deeply despise the culture of deflecting responsibility to save face in front of the audience demanding comment. So instead I'm coming here to call it for what it is, admit my regret, and reaffirm my stance regarding the liberation of the Palestinian people.
I am making a series of sizeable donations to relief and support organizations.
My politics are uncomplicated and remain unchanged. I condemn any organized body of power unleashing acts of violence against innocent civilians. The rise of Antisemitism and Islamophobia is undeniable. I stand against hate speech in all forms. I stand for freedom and the right to live safely.

Saw video today of a young boy in Gaza, no older than early teens, sobbing as he prayed with his community over the bodies of his entire family who had been slaughtered by Israel. His entire family.
As we watch the most gut-wrenching scenes, the most horror filled images filling our screens every second of every day, I know I personally feel helpless and devastated and lost on what to do. We may not feel as though we have much power in these moments, but there are things we can do to make our voices heard and to help as much as we can. Here are some important ways you can help the people of Gaza:
purchase e-sims and send them to this email, where they are distributing the e-sims for free to people in Gaza. This ensures that they can stay connected, both to the world at large but, more importantly, to their families and communities. As Israel continues to cut off all internet in Gaza, this is crucial. This account on tw*tter has more information about their efforts to distribute the e-sims.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Share what is happening wherever you have a platform and, most importantly. Speak out what is happening with the people in your real life community. For 75 years Israel has convinced the world that the situation is "complex" and have managed to dissuade "normal" everyday people from speaking out on the atrocities they have been ceaselessly carrying out. Don't let them undermine your intelligence and don't let them try to convince you that what you are seeing isn't actually a genocide. Share posts from Palestinians and Gazans and be vocal about your support for a ceasefire and a free Palestine.
Boycott!! BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) has released a list of companies to boycott who are profitting from or contributing too the genocide in Gaza. There are, unfortunately, so many companies that profit and contribute to Israel, but BDS has put together a list of targeted companies to ensure we can narrow our focus and make maximum impact. The most commonly known right now are McDonald's, Starbucks, and Dominoes, but this link has more information and a list with different categories for us to be aware and use our most powerful tool, our money, to make an impact.
Read!! There are dozens of book lists out there now that contain different kinds of writings for every kind of person. Novels that tell the stories of the Palestinian people through fiction-style writing. Academic texts. Historical non-fiction works that tell the history of the occupation. Find something that will be of benefit to you and READ. An informed populace is a powerful populace.
Protest! Find a protest in your area and GO! Not only does this help to show the world and our governments what it is the people stand for, with more people attending sending a stronger message, it will also help you find community and support with people who understand the devastation we feel.
Reach out to your elected officials!! Call, email, fax, or even write letters! This is a huge way that we as individuals can change the policy positions of our elected officials. The more people who tell them "this issue matters and will effect my voting decisions in the future", the more likely they will be to change their position. And even if it feels like you're just yelling at the wall, it will feel good to say what you feel and what you believe to someone that you KNOW has the power to change things. It won't be automatic, and can be disheartening, but it is important.
I'm sure there are even more ways to help, and please share them below if you have any! Keep your head up and keep going. Don't look away. The people of Gaza have asked us to bear witness to the atrocities being carried out against them, to speak out for them as they lose their voices, and to pray for them and hope for them. Don't abandon them, and don't abandon hope. Hope is the strongest force we have in times of such darkness. Together, we can and we will see a free Palestine.

We cannot stop talking about Palestine. We cannot stop supporting them. If we stop, the genocide continues. We need to be vocal. We need to do everything we can. If you’re like me and tend to be to scared to talk about things because you’re worried you aren’t educated on it enough, do your research. You won’t have to do much before you see how disgusting this situation is. Israel has been oppressing Palestinians for 75 years, has been controlling Palestine for 75 years. Gaza tried to fight back, tried to protect themselves, and so Israel doubled down on attacks. Please educate yourself, go to protests if it’s safe for you to, donate if you can, email your elected officials, sign petitions. Do whatever you can to help. I used to be grossly uneducated on this and thought it was a war going both ways. Please don’t believe the bull shit I did. This is genocide. It is one sided. Hundreds of people are dying everyday. Children, parents, doctors, disabled people, anyone who lives in Palestine is not safe. If we stop talking, they will all die. Silence only contributes to the genocide. Israel wants us to be silent. They want us to forget. We cannot let that happen. Stop genocide. Stop the killing, stop the terror, stop the bombings, stop the war crimes. Free Palestine.

Seeing posts like these is heartbreaking to me because I want to believe these people hold no intrinsic animosity towards Jews and are simply ignorant and ill-informed. I have to ask: What is the immediate practical utility, in terms of substantive, material aid to Palestine, in “exposing Zionists” (presumably on social media)? The reblog referenced by OP is with respect to rhetoric from the openly genocidal Israeli government, and they certainly don’t need anything in the way of “Zionist exposing.” They’re happy to do it themselves. How is the liberation of Palestine advanced by compiling lists of diasporic Jews on Tumblr, many of whom upon cursory inspection explicitly denounce the ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israeli government and are in support of a ceasefire, and circulating said lists with the sole apparent aim of marking an “insidious” and “clever” pariah group with whom you should not interact (because they are disingenuous manipulators who cannot be reasoned with)? I can only speak to my experience with my fellow American Ashkenazim, but I have had productive conversations with colleagues and family members of FAR more staunchly pro-Zionist sympathies, and found that patience and pressure from community/peers is the most effective tool in changing minds and hearts. Ironically, it is by legitimizing the reality of their fear of antisemitism – and how Israel’s rhetoric endangers world Jewry by conflating its interests and its activities with Jews as a nationally-identified monolith – that gets the most mileage. WHATEVER WORKS.
Of course the Israeli state deploys insane, manipulative propaganda to justify its violence. States often do that! It infuriates me to watch the IDF carpet bomb and starve Palestinian civilians and wipe out entire lineages and then call South Africa’s ICJ suit for crimes against humanity “blood libel.” What I have yet to see on blogs like the one screenshotted above is any demonstrable curiosity about the historical and contemporary propagation of actual blood libel, or the tenacity and pervasiveness of antisemitic conspiracy theories, or ANYTHING about the culture of world Jewry generally that is extrinsic to Zionism! (Part of the reason I’ve been so profusely vocal lately on such things.) Of course there are bad actors arguing in bad faith; the same is true of any politically motivated group. But diasporic Jews urging caution and precision in the language you use when (justifiably!!!) condemning Israeli nationalism doesn’t emerge from a historical vacuum that you are free to write off as secretly ideologically motivated in covert, nefarious support of that nationalism. At best it’s a bad look and does nothing to aid the survival, welfare, and ultimate liberation of the Palestinian people. At worst you’re playing right into the hands of antisemites.

What's your opinion on Taz Skylar rumored to be supporting Israel?
I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but you said that you absolutely despised the One Piece live action. But when it comes to Taz, many people; who have opinions similar to yours, still have a liking to the man. I'm wondering if that is true with you as well, or false, and you hate Taz?
Anyways, what do you think about him, and all the Twitter and Instagram posts about this?
I was lukewarm on the cast like, I don't mind them. They seemed fine but I was kinda eh either way with them because?? you know, they're actors, it is what it is.
However, Taz was an absolute fucking moron for that - a moron and a coward. I do not say this lightly, because he called a genocide a 'conflict'. His message about it even included a Sanji line at the end?? Which was so insanely tone deaf and insensitive to the literal humanitarian crisis happening in Gaza.
His stance was insanely neutral, and you cannot be neutral on a genocide. We've seen the stories, the images, the insane cruelty that's happening in Gaza - and it should make anyone sick to their stomach. Hence why such a neutral statement? Without even saying the WORD Palestine? It's spineless. Especially considering Koby's actor, Morgan Davies, has been insanely vocal about his support for Gaza.
The fact of the matter is Palestine people were upset at him for it, Palestine people were desperate to explain the actual situation to him, and instead? He turns around and likes a comment calling the people criticising him 'barbarians'. Imagine being someone from Palestine, who is Palestinian, and an actor you like ignores your pleas to educate and decides you're all just 'haters' instead.
It's crucial we listen to Palestinian people for these matters. This is not petty online drama, this is not the tea of the week, these are thousands upon thousands of families and people being eradicated - no matter the age. At this point in time, we know this for a fact, and being neutral on this genocide is disgusting.
The death toll in Gaza alone, at the time of this post, stands at 27,000 people. More than 10,000 of those were kids.
