Honestly I'm rather out of the loop on this (since judging by the asks it happened like a week ago) and not sure why you'd ask for my opinion on it but ok. As I'm not particularly a fan of drama and also not really keen on playing a giant game of Telephone, my first (and probably final) outlook on this is literally like

Oh wait a final note - if I know anything about online drama culture though, it's that if there IS drama then some people are going to use it as an excuse to be assholes to other people. I know we all love to laugh about Ambrosius Goldenloin’s name but I was looking at gifsets and giggling and kicking my feet about him (as one does) and noticed that his armor has a blatant lion motif!

I mean, look at his chestplate

it clearly has a lion’s face, and the mane sort of dissolves into the abstract pattern, which I think is cool. Also, he appears to have two different sets of shoulder plates/pauldrons ? In the above image, they aren’t decorated with anything, but later on we see these:

which turn the pauldrons into a lion’s head! (I’m pretty sure they’re pauldrons anyway.)

It’s just hilarious to me that Goldenloin and Goldenlion are the same aside from the position of two letters. His last name is Goldenloin but his armor is covered in golden lions. If there’s an in-universe explanation for this, please educate me. I can’t stop laughing.
