it's overwhelming. to be so close & have so much space between them.

it was filled by Vax's breath on his lips, an impending intensity hanging between them. if percy had it his way, he would have all of vax in this moment. it's difficult to keep from grabbing handfuls of vax, touching whatever bits he could get ahold of. but Vax is more than a high to chase. it had been difficult a truth to identify, but vax had grown like ivy around Percy's heart. it had been a recent revelation… a recent discussion.

it had opened up many doors for them. doors that lead to catching Vax in the library, doors that lead Percy to breach his personal space soon as he saw vax. he'd been hoping to catch a moment alone between them, quite desperately.

Percy's hands slide down to Vax's hips. it's an incredible display of self-control, how gently Percy tugs him closer, how carefully he closes the distance between their lips. ( they both had died, after all. what use was there in pretending he didn't need vax? why would he deny himself a part of him that never wants to let go? )

a small part of him feels foolish, opening his heart like this, but a bigger part of him likes it. he likes being able to swim in between the two of them, exchanging heavy breaths without having to wonder where the next one may come from. this is a moment to relish, a moment to celebrate their continued & shared survival.

their relentless fighting had unlocked the opportunity for them to savor each other like this, in the library on a Sunday afternoon. maybe this is why the usual tension melts from Percy's shoulder blades. he holds Vax closer, unable to drive himself to break the kiss. Percy cannot help but give himself over to approaching emotion, despite how desperately he had fought it in the past.

he presses Vax's smaller body against a bookshelf, desperate to be closer, desperate to hold him a little tighter. percy is lost in him for what feels like hours but must be a few moments. regardless, it could never be long enough. he breathes in sharply, forcing a bit of space between their lips but unable to pry his hands from Vax's body. he rubs a few soft circles on Vax's hips, resting their foreheads together.

" I suspect a 'welcome back' is in order, " he's giddy, half-joking. he's always delighted when Vax & Keyleth visit & misses them quite terribly when they're gone. he was hardly lonely anymore but there was still a space in his life that was left empty when they weren't around. he presses a kiss to Vax's jaw, unable to get enough of him, " You could even say I'm happy to see you. "

its actually nuts how missing a single vaccination has shaped my entire fucking life. like not only would I not be deaf if I had gotten it on time but I probs wouldn't have adhd either 🫣

CR3 EPISODE 64 SPOILERS

(im probably missing a bunch of shit since the episode just ended and im sort of rambling)

i did an oopsie and stayed up till 1 am tonight to watch the bells hells reunion and while i don't regret it, now that the party has been split again, im so sad. i understood they couldn't have stayed but it was still so hard.

deanna and frida especially just... fit too well, and i really really fucking hope nothing bad happens to either of them because mentally i couldn't handle it.

laudna and ashton vying for attention with prism was really funny and accurate because I'd argue that she had more a connection with them both. she still had very good chemistry with orym, so it was funny to see her claim him as a bestie.

i FUCKING LOVE AABRIA SO DAMN MUCH SHE'S PERFECTION. it sucks we don't get to see more of deanna and everybody else bc she has such a good spirit and her chemistry with every single person at that table is unmatched. gonna miss her and chetney as horny but beautifully intimate lovers, and im gonna miss her and fcg bickering, and im gonna miss her and fearne flirting, AND im gonna miss her and imogen's sweet dynamic of faith and understanding and comfort, AND im gonna miss seeing her and frida's unbreakable bond.

christian was a gift like no other, and i almost started bawling when fcg and frida had to actually come to terms with saying goodbye. i hope that frida stays safe, and that nothing happens to fcg, and i want them to be together for a long long long LONG time. it's what they deserve.

well tell me abt this tattoo shop au!!!

If anyone's confused, this is the post.

So, Vax has been doing tattoos for ten years, and he has quite a lot of them. One day, this cute redhead sets an appointment to get a tattoo on the inside of her arm. It's just linework, and the design is very simple and geometric.

Keyleth is very nervous because it's her first tattoo, so Vax entertains her by asking if it has any meaning, and what it is. Keyleth tells him all about Zephrah and the Ashari, how that is the crest of her family, etc. She talks during the entire session and doesn't even notice time passing or any pain from how distracted she is. By the time the tattoo is done, Vax knows all about Keyleth's family and her childhood home. Keyleth is very embarrassed because she talked his ear off, and leaves a huge tip as a thank you for being so nice and helping her relax.

She comes back a few months later to get a shoulder tattoo and asks specifically for Vax because she loved how easy the process was with him (and he's cute). She has a design in mind but they have a few consultations that drag on for months until finally, they have a pretty set design. They set the session for a couple weeks from then, but when the day comes, Keyleth is reticent and wants to make changes again. So Vax finally asks her what's the real deal, and she confesses that she's enjoying spending time with him and it's so easy to talk to him. Keyleth tells him she doesn't have any friends, and he's the closest thing she has to a friend in the city, and that she is scared that after the tattoo is finished, she won't have a reason to see him again. Vax tells her he would love to hang out with her outside the tattoo shop, and they basically become friends. The shoulder tattoo ends up taking a few sessions, and on the last session, Keyleth comes in with a huge smile and a folder in her hands with the first sketch of the next tattoo.

Vax ONCE AGAIN sees his corpse in his reflection. He’s a dead man walking. And it’s reflected above him in the water then again in the goop of the monster, a reversal of what he saw in eps 5 when he saw the Matron’s mask emerge out of the flames. 

Something about the Feywild seems to be out to get him, and he notices it. There is something about that conversation with Percy by the lake (not only because it directly and visually parallels their conversation at the end of eps 4) that is so striking to me in that he is beginning to really realize the effects of what he has done, and wants to seek answers.

Percy’s “I wasn’t about to give up on you” contrasts directly to Vax’s “I feel like I’m going down a path you can’t follow” (NOT TO MENTION how Vax faces away!! His face falling into shadow!!) and is a bit of foreshadowing that makes me wonder a bit about how the final three episodes of this season are gonna play out for team Half Elf + Percy, especially since we didn’t see where they ended up after walking through the portal in eps 9.

Perhaps a brief return to Vasselheim since there’s that shot of the interior of the Matron’s temple in the trailer?
