First off, congrats; I learned two new words because of you(paracosm and diegetic). Second of all, I love that pretty much all the Isabela headcanons can be summed up by: Isabela is actually a little weirdo. I also really like the headcanon that she shows affection by headbutting, that's adorable and, for me, relatable. Third: headcanon: Isabela sneaks out at night to walk in the jungle because there's no way she could do so during the day and she loves night-blooming flowers(esp. cereus!)
Isabela gives off lil weirdo vibes!! And i'm projecting! In all honesfy, i didn't know affection via headbutting wasn't a common thing until i posted the hc? Like its just something ive been doing so long that it had never occured to me that other people dont do it.
Its just a fun low energy way to show my affection!

messier doodle pages feat. mostly loop because i'm thinking about the body horror of it all... amongst other things.
... at least one of those things being. hey. unrelated to this doodle page. how many months was siffrin travelling with the party? It wasn't that many, right? How many loops would it take before they'd've been in the house longer than they had even been with them? Much to think about!

guess whose turn is it for the sister trilogy posts <3
like the previous two posts i made about some realizations during the songs [the sister (heh) posts: waiting on a miracle & surface pressure & sister angst], this might have already been pointed out by other people in the past and it's probably really obvious anyway, but i might as well bring it up again because god i love this movie
something a friend and i noticed is mirabel looking at isabela longingly and was reaching out to her in waiting on a miracle
she retracts it then, of course, but...in the end, in what else can i do...
here, mirabel's able to understand a little more
and because of that, she's able to reach out to her oldest sister
she's able to do that and so much more
and with mirabel reaching out, isabela reaches back too :')
i love them sm, i love this movie sm

I'm thinking about the King now and his love towards Vaugarde. Like, I started thinking more about "Why did the King freeze Vaugarde from the edges first?" Normally, if you were going to inflict a curse on something, you'd start doing it from the inside, which is nearer your spot. But the King started farther from him. And I think, in a way, the King was trying to mimic the Change symbol while still connecting that with the Universe. Like how there's a big outer circle that gets smaller and smaller with only a dot at the center. And the Universe being connected with it too like what Siffrin said during around Act 4, I think?
So the King remembers a part of the Vaugardian culture but what Really made that obvious in a way is that the King believes his goal of freezing Vaugarde in time is Also a form of Change AND HE'S RIGHT! I know that as Mira said, being stuck in time is the opposite of Change but the thing here is that Breaking Traditions is part of the Change belief, which is what Mira also said in passing when explaining about the Change symbols on her clothes. Although for Mirabelle who strongly believes in Change, she thinks of that part being only applicable to uniforms. Which is also right, in a way, but the Change God quest confirms that, whether you Change constantly or remain stagnant doesn't matter, Anything can be a form of Change (even with Siffrin's time loop, the Change God, though angry at them, sees it as a form of Change itself (mainly entertainment though)). So yeah, the King does understand the Vaugardian culture and loves it in place of his love for the Country as something he can be part of.

cant believe people are still arguing on if camilo and isabela were trying to save the candle or mirabel. Me personally, I always interpreted it as they were both going for the candle so she wouldn’t have to. They were saving the candle and at the same time saving mirabel. Like they wouldn’t just be like fuck u mirabel and save the candle they were trying to prevent her from being hurt😭

Hey so I read your pinned post and I still have questions. Are we allowed to send in angsty/sad headcanons or anything like that? So long as they’re not character bashing or prejudiced(like “x hates women”), none of that, but is something like “x character has depression” okay or no?
Angsty hcs are perfectly fine! Just make sure they don't potray a character as worse than they are in canon!
Ei, An angst hc show Alma as someone too focused on 'giving back'/appearing strong to the village to realize her actions are harming her family? That would be accepted.
An angst hc claiming that Alma is harming her family intentionally and doesn't care about them as anything more than tools? Would result in an automatic delete

So, I gave a Choir Concert tonight... sooo.... HC on their singing range or whatever it's called!!!
Siffrin is a high tenor, low alto. Why? I dunno. They just... look at em.
Bonnie is Alto, eventually would be a tenor but until then, they're an Alto. :)
Soprano, 100%. She'd be the one in the Choir with the solo, but be anxious and back out. Don't worry, I did too, Mira.
Baritone, maybe a Tenor? But definitely Baritone.
Last but certainly not least, I think Odile would be an Alto. She'd probably struggle hitting high notes, like I do.

I drew some sonic isat characters as well. Drawing in the sonic style helps soothe my anxiety for some reason so this was fun. I'll do more later maybe

Someone mentioned fae being possessive on my selkie siffrin agenda post so may I present: regular fae Siffrin.
Has no home to go back to. Someone stole it from him (or from everyone) through a deal, or by trickery, or with some unknown bit of magic. No memories, nothing. He wanders, with riddles in his brain and no purpose to speak of.
And then he finds the saviors of Vaugarde.
They are good people. And their people are also good. And he wants that, desperately.
He wants to offer than food. Wants to make them promise never to leave. Wants to tie them to him with mushroom rings and words and things that normal humans don't do.
Siffrin doesn't, because they know that isn't what normal humans do. And they don't want their friends to leave them. They want to be loved.
But eventually, their friends will leave them.
And Siffrin struggles not to keep them in ways that only the fae could.
Alternatively Siffrin is a changeling child but they were switched way late in their life and lost all their memories of home. All they know is that they were unwanted (by both families).
