let me tell you about my au where wendinu and furabijo don't get banished to the dinosaur dimension or whatever happened to them in the vs movie and they're hanging about earth (not in a good guy or bad guy way just kinda doing their own thing and being menaces in a vegeta way) and wendinu and oboro get married and no one is happy about it except shurikenger who comes to the wedding in a full tuxedo worn over his ranger suit

Pretty good as reunion movies go! Had a lot of fun with all the choices this was making, especially with the Gouraigers -- it’s the stupidest, silliest decision they could have made and that’s why it’s perfect. A lot about where each character is feels slightly divergent from where they were at the series end but it still feels in-character for them and it makes sense for a gap as long as 10 years.

Just... really liked it! Really charming movie once you get past the requisite “hero does evil stuff because of blackmail” twist plot (which even so facilitated some really good characterisation for Yosuke and an emotional reunion once the facade’s dropped). Also kind of like how Wendinu and Furabeejo being around just isn’t explained or reacted to at all? Basically just saying the Abaranger vs movie was canon? Bold move for the lore but I’m all for it!

Between this and Gokaiger 10 I’m slowly noticing a trend that these might be my favourite Sentai movies, actually. They really toe the line between nostalgia and telling a very sweet story that both progresses the characters naturally and reminds you why you loved them in the first place. Hope they make more of these in the future!

Headcanon: if Seven Dark Spears were humans, they would have animals they're based on as pets (like, peacock with Satarakura, bees with Furabiijo ect.).

Gosh I love this headcanon so much~!!! Anytime I get to talk about Hurricanger in any capacity is a win in my book

Furabijo would indeed keep bees around and she's just fucking out there living her best god damn cottage core life and probably has attack bees and attack wasps on standby. Decorate her entire home with flowers and all kinds of stuff! Eats honey every day and honestly it's how she stays so young.

Chuuzubo would keep frogs and toads. The bigger they are the better. He just likes their lil hopping selves and how they go about their day without a care in the world. He's very careful not to introduce any of his pets into the wild - lest they become invasive species.

Manmaruba would keep scorpions that somehow never fucking sting him and he has never been stung by literally anything in his life. The others have no idea how this happened but those damn things love him so much that they would never hurt him. He also deals with other stinging insects and sometimes his scorpions and Furabijo's bees have like a fucking play date.

Wendinu has snakes! They're lovely like her and tend to listen to her gossip most of the time and they also have hot takes. They tend to scare off any suitors she brings home because she has so much but she looooves them. They're her babies~! Dolls them up and they don't give a single flying fuck.

Sargain is based off of an ant so he has a lil ant farm! Those things love him especially when he gives them lil pieces of his own lunch. He talks to them and sometimes they make like fucking messages out of themselves bc they love him. Honestly it's rather cute to see because he has pictures of his ant babies and knows everyone of their names by heart.

Satakura keeps the most obnoxious peacocks ever known to man. If you think geese are fucking terrifying, this man has trained his peacock to attack people on sight. Especially if they annoy him. Most of the time the peacocks will just go along with his pranks but they can and will wreck havoc when they want to. One time they fucked up Sargain's car and the two are still very much not on speaking terms.

Sandaaru would keep sharks and eels! Though since you really can't...keep them per say he watches them as the marine biologist that he is. Those creatures know him by shadow alone and will swim up to his boat to say hi and some allowed him to pet them. Sometimes he sees dolphins and whales during his trips too.

I initially said Ira and Ludinus fucked instead of Morri x Ira as a joke….but now I’m like crackship? 👀 Wendinus? Ludira? Ludigoth?

Like yeah fey beings took over the ruins of Molaesmyr so Ludinus probably doesn’t like fey. But also I’d put money on the idea that Ludinus fucking was the one to fuck up Molaesmyr.

Or crack theory idea. Him and Ira fucked it up. Cuz the source came from a labyrinth under a tower. That’s similar to Ira’s old hideout. The magic that fell over the city was purple and grey. Ira’s magic is purple. Ludinus and his old flame Ira were doing hubristic magical experiments in his basement and fucking destroyed an entire city.

Now he’s forced to pair up again with him to do evil moon shenanigans and there’s your hallmark movie. Head Wizard is at the top of their game until one day everything goes wrong, now they are forced to work with their ex to get back to the top of Wizard CEOdom.
