This may be a strange or silly question, but are toms also protected under Queen's Rights?

If a tom brings in a litter saying they're his own, does he have to explain who the mother is?

Not a strange or silly question at all! Yes, it applies to them as well.

Though in-universe a gay couple that wouldn't be able to produce kittens will raise more brows, they can "legally" be very adamant about not revealing the mother. The law protects all kittens; the leader and deputy will quash public disputes over this.

Stonepelt and Weedwhisker adopt Frostfur this way; Frostfur is the secret lovechild of Featherwhisker and a kittypet.

Torear may adopt Harespring and Kestrelflight this way; he is their uncle but they were produced by Mudclaw x Whitewater and born after their father had died.

(minor name change; his name is now Torear not Tornear. a tor is a small rocky outcrop seen on moorlands.)

Oakheart did this with Mistyfoot and Stonefur, though Graypool did officially adopt them and raise them along with Oakheart. I'm considering also putting another kitten into this litter who is biologically Graypool's.

I feel I should address this.

I’m only on side of the trans spectrum when it comes to having a desire to have bio kids (current mindset of being okay with it but it could change) and know others aren’t comfortable with it or how it’s portrayed in warriors stuff as well as with mlm couples (same with wlw but it’s less common from what I’ve seen)

Splotchedtail

They had an accidental pregnancy and hated the entire process. Had difficulty bonding with Sabre and Talon and it had been left up to Downyface for a bit before they were able to feel comfortable again.

Foxtail

She had a out of guild dame carry her kits. Once they were weaned, she took them back to her guild.

Tatteredwing and Lanternwhisker

Both cis gay man. They adopted a founding Morelstrike.

Stonepelt and Weedwhisker

Also are cis gay man. They adopted Frostbite as their only child. They do kinda count Jayfire and Swanstorm since they helped raise them when Dovemoon died and Slatetail couldn’t be bothered.

Mottlebelly and Sundewpaw

Two cis mollies, bisexual and lesbian respectively. Both are fine with carrying kits but Sundewpad had more difficulty getting pregnant so Mottlebelly carried. They had a donor friend help them.

They are Morningclaw’s moms.

Lichenflame and Foxthistle

Foxthistle is a trans molly and was fine with siring kits if only with her beloved. They are the mothers of Yolksnout.

ANYWAYS

there’s literally nothing about these two so everything I say about them is a headcannon lol.

For some basics: Stonepelt is cis and bi, Weedwhisker is gay and transmasc

Stonepelt was born from a shadowclan tom and a loner queen, once he was old enough to not need his mother’s milk his father left him on the thunderclan border to hide his code breaking. 

Weedwhisker was born to two thundeclan warriors who soon died form the famine that had sweeped the clan at the time, along with the other kits in his litter. This left Weedkit without much of a role model to base his interests off of, leading him to develop weird habits (aka he’s autistic, cause i am and i say so). 

Weed is similar to Tree just without the ghost powers, he’s just a weird hippie. He also has webbed paws! Weird for a thunderclan cat but he puts them to use by swimming when the river isn’t frozen over.

Stonepelt became a highly respected warrior of thunderclan, he was going to retire after he trained Bluepaw but the injury he sustained made his decide to become an elder early. Weed retired early by his own free will, he much prefers it. 

The two of them were friends in their apprenticeship and got together when they were warriors (but literally everyone knew they had a thing for each other). they cuddled together after training “as homies,” Weed braided flowers into Stone’s pelt all the time for “practice when he got a mate.”

Stone is perceived as a “loyal and brave warrior” when is reality he only has one brain cell and he exclusively uses it to keep Weed from biting Pinestar’s head off.

Good choice with AdderSwift. They didn’t need another litter. It makes it even better when you think of Swiftpaw being named after Swiftbreeze.

Redtail and Spottedleaf being Rosetail’s kits is just chef’s kiss. It always did baffle me that Rosetail had no kits when it seemed like she would both from her personality and Bluestar’s prophecy.

Tawnyspots works better as Thrushpelt and Dappletail’s older bro.

Ah Robinwing and Fuzzypelt, the ones that ruin everything. I think letting them keep Dust would be fine, if only for the angst factor since they’re both gone at the start so it’s just him and Raven as orphans. With Frostfur, it might be interesting since Frostfur snaps at Ravenpaw due to Tigerclaw’s rumors, angst.

Featherwhisker should have kits. He and Sunstar aren’t related to literally anyone, with only parents to them. It’s a genetic waste that neither of them had kits.

I think Stonepelt and Weedwhisker could work as Willowpelt’s dads.

TPB shuffling:

Are Featherkit and Cricketkit now Graystripe/Darkstripe’s dead littermates or do they live?

Post-TNP fixes:

Yeah, working it with direct descendants works better.

I might be able to make a familyecho with this but we’ll see.

Dustpelt and Frostfur

As much as I do like the idea of Frostfur snapping at her little brother (perhaps, even, because he never knew them and Tigerclaw convinces her he's been raised wrong), alas, Raven and Dust can't be siblings with Frostfur as a rule

That's because Dustpelt has Birchfall, who becomes mates with Whitewing, daughter of Brightheart. They're first cousins and it trips the buzzer on Rule 1.

Robin and Fuzzy can only keep one. I am leaning towards Dustpelt though- because the angst of Robin fostering so many kits but then dying before she could raise her own is delightfully angsty. Plus! I just like how Spiderleg looks a lot like her!

Featherwhisker and The Dads

Stonepelt and Weedwhisker are a great idea if only for their ship name being Stone/Weed. I will move mountains for this. Definitely going to have the old coots find Willowpelt in the woods and raise her together as a gay couple.

And on Featherwhisker, it absolutely was a genetic waste! Especially with how Feather seems so... odd and gossipy. I love his vibe, honestly. He seems like the sort of person who gets away with a lot while people are focusing on Goosefeather.

So he's probably going to be the secret father of Frostfur. I imagine they look alike anyway, and then I don't have to worry about any surprise cousins from her appallingly prolific litter

Who's the mother? Unsure. Featherwhisker might just have special kittypet friends he visits for a cup of catmint now and then.

Featherkit and Cricketkit

Featherkit is definitely Graystripe's littermate! I've really liked that headcanon ever since I saw it. It also adds meaning to how he named his own daughter.

Cricketkit is a missing kit I like a lot just because of how cute the name is, but I have no plans for them. They would either be in Dappletail's first litter alongside Darkstripe, or Redtail's first litter with Runningwind beside Longtail.

Cricketpaw probably died just a few months away from becoming a warrior, as Lionheart's first apprentice. Featherkit was born deaf, wandered out of camp one day, and was sadly never found.
