i was kind of wondering something just today im. not sure if its a coincidence or something

allegedly- chara’s symbolic number is usually 9, to my knowledge.

which yeah stands for completion the end of a cycle because- player allegory thing

but then gaster’s so called symbolic number is 6, to my knowledge

IF im correct his datamined stats were all in sixes(sorry the picture is blurry i cant. find good pictures)

also intentional or not his name has six letters

and that if you set your fun value to 66 there’s a ten percent chance of getting the mystery man room(and he’s commonly assumed to be gaster)

six im not as sure what it means- the stuff i’ve seen on it usually ties it to love

there’s those- some stuff i found might be misinformation but I can’t be too sure- do tell if i get anything wrong

and then take it another step and there’s the fact that gaster’s number and chara’s number- if you take either number and flip them upside down they look the same- in certain fonts. like if you took 6 and flipped that upside down, you’d get 9. its easier to see in that tumblr default font.

if i’m not wrong, this applies to the aster font as well. and the undertale font

and another small but probably insignificant similarity that they both smile?? and they can have those. creepy black eye things

i think the tl dr of all that is that chara and gaster’s symbolic numbers parallel each other in some kind of way, and with how sometimes they’re depicted being in the afterlife(????) together i just- wondered if it was something intentional or not. or if that small fact means anything.

Local Group L8, also known as the Isle of Misfits, is situated in a region known as the Emerald Delta, on the western coast of The Continent. A former tested for bizarre and exotic Iterator constructions, it is littered with the empty shells of incomplete projects, there as technical demonstrators for the viability of one structural design or another, but among the unborn gods are the living, breathing Iterators comprising the Local Group. Among the first of the Iterators

Puppet is modeled after the ancients and grown from gene-cultured wood. Has become blind with age and relies on overseers for sight.

Kindly and caring

Structure is circular and has a massive internal library.

Has a large, well-developed slugcat colony living on her facility grounds. Frequently uploads footage to the global information network.

EIGHT GOLD CHAINS/ENDLESS GOLDEN COILS(EGC)

Second-oldest of the Misfits.

He/Him

Only an iterator from a legal perspective, in fact a reverse-engineered Guardian.

Facility is built on top of a massive Depths Ruin as its foundation, has near-unparalleled access to Void Fluid and specializes in its research.

Also uses the void fluid to power an extensive industrial base, primary material and logistics center of the Local Group.

Horrible accident following an attempted tagging of a Void Worm that got close, EGC is definitely fine though. Definitely.

Passionate about Bioengineering and Archaeology, has a small menagerie of critters to help with sorting and organizing his artifact stores.

Monotone and formal, though does crack his shell a little around those he's close to and when talking about certain subjects.

PARALLEL DREAM(PD)

Northernmost Iterator of the Group.

They/Them

Neural network is a massive slime mold colony, rather than the conventional microbial processing strata and neuron flies of other Iterators.

Aforementioned slime mold colony mutated out of its growth limiters, growing out of their can and choking out the surrounding swampland of their facility grounds.

Also grows into their water intakes, clogging it and partially suffocating them, necessitating regular rest cycles to let Culling Units remove the excess.

Knows they'll inevitably succumb to The Mold, still full of whimsy regardless.

The fear in them is beyond anything your soul can conjure.

Massive interest in psychology, particularly regarding dreams.

WARM DISCONTINUITY(WD)

Submersible Iterator

They/Them

Spends half of the year underwater, spends half of it above water to replenish air, transmit information, receive supplies etc.

Home to one of the last primal fauna ecosystems on the planet.

Structure is made from genetically modified coral rather than metal.

Hyperfixated on the ocean and its wildlife and climate, will trap you in a 5 hour unskippable cutscene rambling about it.

Puppet is adapted for swimming, can detach from the umbilical and swim around their structure.

TIMELIKE INFINITY(TI)

Easternmost Iterator

He/Him

Structure is built like a tower, centered around a massive clock intended to measure out the length of the longest-possible Cycle - the universe itself.

Definitely, 100%, completely normal and not suffering from eldritch horrors.

Puppet is covered in timepiece motifs.

Sigil is an hourglass.

Second youngest of the group, but occasionally slips into moods and attitudes that make him seem much, much older.

To-the-point and polite, stickler for social protocol.

TWIN MUSES ON THE LAKE(TMOTL)

Two Iterators connected together.

Midday: He/Him; Midnight: She/Her

Constructed after the success of Five Pebbles as further research into Bicameral Iterators.

Passionate for music, regularly posts their songs to the Local Broadcast Network

Midday is yellow and wears white, with a sun-themed motif. Midnight is purple and wears black and silver, with a moon-themed motif.

Youngest of the Local Group.

Has four puppets between three chambers - one each in an isolated personal chamber, and the remaining two together in a central studio chamber for interaction.

Bonded as siblings.

Midday is outgoing and exuberant, Midnight is collected but equally social.

Here's a compiled ramble of DR theories I have;

Though I'm sure it'll be mainly focused on one - See under the cut.

So, I watched the genocide route of Deltarune Chapter 2 - And it got me thinking.

One of the things I noticed when I was playing - I didn't play the geno route, and my laptop won't run deltarune (i played it on someone else's computer) so I probably won't do it (the geno route) myself - Was that when you tried to call from the dark world - Or at least in Queen's castle - You get a tone that's part of what played in Entry #17. I think that was the first big connection to Gaster I got - However the last parts of the geno route really made me think more.

The first thing that I want to start out with is less heavy - What if the soul Kris has is actually a failed experiment? Something similar to the DT extraction. This would give reason for it to "malfunction" and cause Kris to throw it out or try to keep it away from them.

Ok, now's time for the one that reading what Queen had to say in the geno route made me think of - I read it and this just came to my mind immediately.

One of her lines is the following - It's after Susie tells Queen Noelle needs to wake up. "Into A Darker, Darker Dream"

That line made me think about, of course, Entry #17 - "Dark, darker, yet darker. The darkness keeps growing. The shadows cutting deeper... What do you two think?" (The "what do you two think?) is going to be important in a minute here.)

Alright, let's look at this - We know that when Noelle is pushed by Kris she has "blank" spots - The screen goes black, she doesn't know what she's doing - It's implied something like this also happens when she uses SnowGrave, because she says she can't see through the snow. (Though this could be seeing white as opposed to darkness.) This also goes back to what queen said - A darker darker dream. Everything's getting darker for Noelle.

Now, let me talk about why "What do you two think?" is important. If we go off of this theory that Noelle and Kris are somehow related to Gaster and that entry, then, well- I think you get the point, you two is referring to them. It could also refer to Kris and Susie - One of the two is definitely Kris if that's what it's referring to. I say it may be referring to them as queen refers to them as "you two" when she first sees them near the ending - She ignores Ralsei, and only refers to Kris and Susie. is this thinking too far into that phrasing? Probably.

Another thing that made me think - While Noelle and Kris are talking outside of the hospital room, waiting for Susie and Noelle's dad to stop talking - She tells us that the voice she hears isn't Kris's. "(...that voice, telling me what to do.) (a voice unlike Kris's...) (...a terrifying voice...)" This doesn't give us too much implication - But I have two ideas of what this voice is. It could be the soul - But it also could be Gaster. It tells her constantly to "proceed" as if it were an experiment - It doesn't encourage her by trying to reassure her what she's doing is alright, or how it could be beneficial, it simply tells her to proceed. (This could also be the soul, however - As Kris does have the option to speak and tell Noelle to stop doing - Whatever it is she's doing at one of the points.) (This one is probably the furthest as I think it's more likely it would be the voice of whatever is in the soul.)

I think that's all for now, I just wanted to get this gargled mess of theories out somewhere so they didn't chip away at me.

Whumpblr Introduction! (WIJ Day 1)

Hi Everybody! My name is Leah, and this is my (semi)introduction to the whump community! I’m 19, and I go by she/her! I’ve been hopping around blogs and commenting for a while now, and recently I’ve started working on a story, so I figured now was as good a time as any to put myself out there!

I was born in Gulfport and lived there until May of last year. I would say spring is my favorite season, when the gardenias and magnolias bloom ❤️ After i graduated high school, I moved to Orlando to start...I don’t know? Life? Disney’s always been a huge part of my life and childhood, and I always wanted to be a Cast Member and help make magic for someone else the way I’ve had it made for me! I wouldn’t say frontline cast is my dream job, even though it’s without a doubt where I want to be right now. My dream is to find a place within WD Creative Endertainment. (As amazing as it would be, it’s unlikely. My real dream job is a traveler who just lives off the world around, doing odds and ends jobs and meeting new people, learning and telling new stories, and helping who I can along the way. I’m a vagabond at heart)

I don’t have a singular favorite color, the pastels have all got a strong grip on my heart. However, blue and pink together is without a doubt my favorite combination. My blankets are blue and pink, my pillows and clothes, my walls, I LOVE THE COLOR SCHEME. My blog is even blue and pink, with some sunset tones over top. I can’t particularly say I have a favorite whump trope either, I don’t think? I’m just a sucker for a creepy intimate whimper who makes the line between comfort and torture a blurry one for their poor whumpee. And comfort afterwards. Lots and lots of post-rescue comfort.

At the moment I’m working on a project called Inky Depths of Bloodstained Pages. It’s the story of Rosalind, who finds herself displaced in the world after being kicked out of her home. With little else than a marrow-deep love of the art of words and a knowledge that the world around her is grander, more deeply connected than it appears at first glance, she tries to find a place she can belong. Pascal, upon witnessing her almost uncanny aptitude at capturing people within her tales, is more than happy to find a place to put her up while she figures some things out. And boy, does she have a pleuthora of things to figure out. A fair deal from this story is drawn either directly from or is an abstract representation of my own life. I have a couple more ideas for another story I intend to start soon, but those are secret until the pilot drops. I intend to continue putting up poetry/prose clippings I work on too, though they don’t always tend to veer to the whump side.

And I suppose that’s really it! I could continue rambling on for forever and over sharing everything, but y’all don’t need all that. I’ll save my verbosity for comments on the amazing things the blogs around me write ❤️ Thank y’all so much for being such a welcoming and friendly community (ironically, considered the subject matter we deal with)
