Deputies in a Dark Reign

Little bit more blurry, and this time by m-o-u-r-i

--Hoot, Snow, and Rosebranch are she-cats, Goldengaze and Frogstreak are toms.

--Aside from Hoot, all designs are taken from @ambitiousauthor who wrote their descriptions in Gorsedaisy's Nightmare (also seen in Rainstar's Burden). Rose was listed as a calico, so I decided to be creative with it. I also added a scar to Snowpad.

--Snowpad had to stay in the medicine den for a long time after she received her injury, and many were skeptical that she would have survived. She has problems with memory and concentration, though thankfully is better at planning (which can also be affected if injured in the area that she was).

After her injury, Snowpad's personality changed. She became more impulsive, and less able to hold back bursts of emotion. In spite of this, she proved herself and became the deputy, later leader. Her own deputy was a friend and former apprentice of hers that helped her figure out methods to aid her memory and concentration.

Gatherings are tough for her due to the impulsivity and bursts of emotions bit, but with effort and hard work, she works around it--it is not completely gone, she cannot magically make it go away when she needs it to, but she can better direct it in a way that is not as harmful as it could be.

It's kind of hard to see, but Snowpad is all white with lighter paws!

--After Rainstar, Rosebranch was the first to become leader.

--Frogstreak was leader for seven moons before he passed. He was still young and wanted to prove himself, so when senior warriors and elders voiced their doubts, he lead the Clan into battle (likely for Sunningrocks, as it was the old territories).

What if the senior warriors and/or elders that talked badly about Frogstar's leadership were friends of his late father and he wanted to impress them, wanted to make them proud, and in doing so it got him killed

There were injuries, but nothing beyond scars. That is, until the fourth fight in, when Frogstreak's throat was slashed in a wound too big to come back from.

--Goldengaze is very serious all the time. A huge buzzkill.

Birchcrash

Birchcrash was born as Silver Birch, although her pelt was grey, her parents said “Eh, close enough” and kept it as Silver Birch. She was the chaotic troublemaker who didn’t mean to make trouble, and had two siblings, Little Fish and Frosted Fern. Suddenly, DewClan’s nemesis, CloudClan, led dogs to Silver Birch’s family camp. The two survivors? Silver Birch and Little Fish. However, Little Fish wasn’t strong enough to fight of the infection in his leg, and lost it. With a tripod sibling, Silver Birch wandered around, trying to find a place where the traumatized children could take refuge. Unfortunately, Little Fish had gotten stuck in silverthorn. Silver Birch tried her best to get rid of the leftover twoleg rubbish, but Little Fish wasn’t strong enough to fight the infection. He was buried in his favourite spot to watch the sunset. Wracked with grief and survivors’ guilt, Silver Birch waited. She waited for someone to see her, to help her. And someone did come. Dandelionspark, DewClan’s medicine cat, had come in search of herbs. Seeing the fellow cat, Silver Birch was overjoyed. She was taken to camp and nursed to health. Her closest friend was Evekit. They were apprenticed at the same time. Birchpaw enjoyed playing with Evepaw and helping her with training. Birchpaw was made a warrior at the average time, half a moon later than Evepaw, now Evespark. Birchpaw became Birchcrash, in honour of her humor and energy. When Amberstar became leader, she picked Evespark, and Birchcrash rejoiced. A moon later, Birchcrash confessed to Evespark. (How are you still reading this? This is like a history textbook at this point— oh well, you got to the wifey part, so it’s good)

Approximately 15 moons later, Evespark became Evestar. The two now live happily together, dealing with drama, and when it gets boring, chatter like starlings.

Rosefrost x Cricketclaw kits:

Copperkit: light brown tabby tom with a white chest and paws and dark green eyes (named after Rosefrost's mother Copperwing)

Whitekit: long-furred white tolly/jack (agender, uses xe/xem pronouns) with pinkish-red eyes (named after Cricketclaw's father Whitestar)

Finchkit: black and white she-cat with bright green eyes (named after Fallenfire's sister Applefinch - didn't want to leave them out!)

I LOVE the addition of the background names! Definitely didn’t forget about Applefinch

Speaking of Finch, her design may be my favourite design and may be a future mate for Fallen or Wasp

I’d find it funny if Wasp had a crush on her only for her to say “hey man, your sister’s hot”

EDIT: DIDN'T SEE 'TABBY' so now Copperkit is plain as a kit and the tabby markings grows more solid as he ages
