an alternate universe Superman where he was unable to save Lois from a bomb. In his grief he decided that setting a good example for the people was not enough to stop crime and so he teamed up with Lex Luthor to eliminate crime in Metropolis. Basically a fascist. Seen in

Superman: The Animated Series s. 2 ep. 12 Brave New Metropolis

another alternate universe Superman. In this universe Flash was killed by Lex Luthor, which led to Superman killing Luthor in revenge. Very similar to the plot of Brave New Metropolis, the Justice League loses their moral code and takes over the world in a war on crime, becoming tyrants called the Justice Lords. Incidentally all of the Lords get new outfits as well but what matters is that once again Superman wears a black outfit. seen in
