listen a friend suggested to me. a concept for a fic/au. that i do not know enough about qsmp to create so i am handing it here into the world in case someone DOES know enough and is inspired by this.

anyway so for those who aren't aware, iskall and tubbo have a vhsmp bit where iskall insists that he is tubbo's dad, a thing tubbo originally agreed to in order to get resources, lol. he is also son of captain sparklez by these means, but it's iskall who doesn't let the bit go; basically every interaction they've had on twitter since iskall refers to tubbo as "son", and even sometimes just like, randomly when iskall is otherwise talking about tubbo. it is my favorite silly family dynamic out there, i love it dearly.

the thing my friend suggested was: what if iskall finds out this means he has a granddaughter?

so my qsmp mutuals and followers PLEASE tell me what that would be like, as angsty or as silly as you'd like (i've heard Something is going down with tubbo on qsmp??? i think???), i just think this would be fantastic. i don't even know which egg tubbo has i lost track. or what that egg is like. i just. need this to exist in the world i can learn.

just. picture. iskall, bursting into tears: MUMBO I AM A GRANDFATHER. MUMBO I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BE A GRANDFATHER. mumbo, a little panicked: i didn't know you were a father-father.

watching mianite is great because i can just imagine jordan on vhsmp calling and catching up with one of the other champions like "oh yeah it's been great! i got this internship on a new SMP and it's modded and everything, it's super fun, I even adopted a son- oop, my vault timer's about to run out, gotta go!" and just hangs up on them with no further explanation. he leaves the vault five minutes later to 73 messages in the group chat thats just like "WHAT DO YOU MEAN JORDAN SAID HE ADOPTED A SON" and he just sends "his name is tubbo :)" and the worlds blurriest selfie and goes MIA for the next five hours to completely rearrange his sorting system

i just remembered iskall or one of the other vh-ers saying tubbo apparently said he was interested in doing next season again.....and like. as both a qsmp and vhsmp watcher my thought remains if he DOES join s4 is he gonna be able to balance the two: especially given how vh is as grindy as it is, meanwhile qsmp's appeal in just a gameplay aspect at some points with non-gated mods as he prefer to play/is his main appeal for modded

if you ever want to have your soul absolutely crushed, your positivity driven into the ground and your faith in humans destroyed: do what iskall did and create a new take on minecraft and alpha test it in full view of players - and, most importantly, let them have an input on your design.

i’ve watched all 45 of iskall’s streams since vault hunters third edition smp began and, my god, i want nothing more than to send that man off to a spa for a month.

i don’t play the game so i’m in a different position to those who do and have THINGS TO SAY about updates as they come out.

i know the iskallian community is generally supportive as heck but, damn, when someone is watching the stream live and says “hashtag worst feature” and iskall responds sarcastically with something along the lines of “it’s good to have a big feature with over 400 man hour of work and then this is the response you get”, i just can’t believe he hasn’t packed it all in. specifically seeing as this is in the midst of trying to fix a problem that caused excruciating backlash for implementing something that players ON THE OFFICIAL SMP were publicly up in arms over.

i have so much respect for iskall. and most days i just think he’s better than all of us and we don’t deserve him.

i also genuinely wonder if this is just a terrible way to go about developing a game.

**update: he says he’s fine so he’s fine :D i take back everything…….. apart from that last bit.

Hey I saw you were mentioned in iskall's 1.18 VH video, what exactly did you do on vault hunters?

I'm part of the build team! We handle all of the building within the vault, including palettes, microstructures, and rooms.

I got recruited towards the end of S2 thanks to my Dragon Room, and I also worked on some parts of the Final Vault as well :D
