The Great BBS Headcanon Text Dump

i have a bunch of bbs character headcanons id like to get out my system. im going to start with eraqus because i think he's boring asf. (plot twist: theyre all boring asf) anyway, wouldn't it be cool if eraqus' intentions and motivations were more obviously grey from the getgo? he loves his kids sure, but he just doesn't make for a good father. his priorities don't lie with them, but rather how best he can mold them into effective soldiers. eraqus hasn't really moved on from the first keyblade war, and has kind of occupied himself with trying to restore the old keyblade order, and figuratively go back in time. i think it would be more entertaining if there was more friction between eraqus and terra from the start. terra is also boring asf, and i want to rewrite him. i imagine him as being more of an openminded guy by default. he likes to question things and doesn't always do what he's told. he likes to know the whys and whatfors, and if it doesn't makes sense, he's going to argue. terra doesn't really plan things out, and is a lot better at just improvising solutions. he just kind of goes with the flow(haha do you get it). i like to imagine that terra out of everyone would vouch the most for ven to be allowed to go on missions with him and aqua, rather than being cooped up at home. i think terra and eraqus would butt heads on this a lot, and terra would eventually start to see through eraqus' reasoning and become a bit more aware that he and his friends are more tools than children to eraqus. i think it would be cute if terra maybe promises to take ven with him to search for more keyblade wielders after he becomes a master. even if eraqus objects, once they hold the same rank and title, eraqus will have no choice but to listen to him. terra wants ven to see the stars and get to make friends, and even if ven isn't as strong as the rest of them, he'll always protect him! on the flip side- aqua. if it weren't for all the drama she goes though, you too would realize just how stiff and boring she actually is. i want to rewrite her, she has so much potential.... aqua is a know-it-all? smart, powerful, follows orders without question; the model soldier, and eraqus doesn't do a good job of hiding his favoritism towards her. although they're mature enough to handle the connotations, it does create a bit of a rift between aqua and terra. aqua is super protective over ven- she babies him, but is unknowingly stunting his growth even further because she can't bear to let him out of her sight. it's something terra and aqua argue about a lot, as terra is more inclined to let ven learn and get hurt and actually do things on his own, while aqua wants to protect him from everything. in opposition to terra, i like to think aqua is an excellent planner- always 20 steps ahead and is highly resourceful, but when the plans fall though, aqua cannot handle the subsequent disaster. she finds comfort in rules and order, and really struggles to function off a script. even around strangers, she cannot do smalltalk and genuinely struggles to socialize, especially in large groups. shes a lot more shy than youd think! comparatively, terra is a lot more easygoing. terra and aqua press at eachother a lot, as their ways of thinking are completely at odds. still, they fill in for a lot of their own deficiencies which allows them to both have room for conflict but also still come together, because ofc, theyre the best of siblings and they all want the same thing: become keyblade masters, protect the worlds from darkness, protect eachother- and most of all, ven.

speaking of ven. it took ventus some time to recover from getting his heart cut in half, but he should've sustained lasting consequences. i mean like, a person's heart is basically their soul. kind of a big deal, right?? i like to imagine ven probably had worse stamina, poor health, and maybe even his physical growth was stunted. think of like, an extension of how roxas was towards the end of days when xion was draining his powers. ven probably couldn't train as frequently as terra and aqua, and as such, lagged behind significantly in his progress. eraqus probably tried for a while to see if they could work around ven's condition, but over time would give ventus special lessons maybe to help him strengthen his control over light; being essentially pure of heart, albeit by artificial means, ven has strong light powers by default and i think eraqus would find that invaluable to nurture especially since the prospects of ven ever becoming a master was becoming more and more of an impossibility. by the time terra and aqua were getting ready to essentially graduate, i feel like eraqus would throw in the towl with the keyblade training and have to break the news that ven would never be a keyblade master. wouldn't that be crazy?? i imagine that ven probably put two-and-two together on his own, but has been trying as hard as he can anyway because he's afraid of being left behind and becoming nothing more than a liability to his friends... eraqus would be particularly protective of ven, out of love of course, but also because ven's unique condition and subsequent light powers make him an especially effective as a soldier. ven is essentially doomed to become a princess locked up in a castle, but as much as he keeps asking for a chance to leave, he's gradually starting to lose faith in himself and doesn't really have the courage to leave home anymore. and thats why ventus should've been kidnapped by vanitas in the beginning of the game instead of chasing after terra, and then wandering around like an idiot for his entire 10hr route. wouldn't it have been fun and made the plot more urgent and maybe more parallel to kh1 if the gang were searching for ventus the whole time? rather than ven being analogous to sora, he really should've been representative to kairi. vanitas couldve easily snatched ven at the start of bbs when terra is about to leave, and hell, maybe from the getgo eraqus is like- "it must be xehanort: terra, aqua, if you see him run tf away hes evil because darkness." it wouldve been a much smarter move for the characters to have been made aware of xehanort's evil from the start, because us the players were aware of it from the start. its silly to watch the characters get stringed along for a whole game on a plot twist you already know is going to happen. it also wouldve opened the doors for xehanort to really show how cunning and manipulative he can be if manages to convince the characters to his reasoning, despite them knowing hes bad. it would be even better if xehanort was convincing enough to even get players to at least be like "hm well he has a point 🤔". that would make him a little scarier i think. also. wouldn't it be more interesting if like, terra at first worried when his heart starts to lean towards darkness, actually learns to control it and be more comfortable with it. just. by himself? wouldnt it be more fun and a bit more obvious instead of mildly implied that terra's heart is so much stronger than xehanort expected, and terra just masters his darkness all on his own??? it would be cool. i like xehanort being an evil mastermind, but i want to see him fuck up sometimes?? he severely underestimates terra, and pays the price- losing his entire sense of self when he tries to bodysnatch terra and they effectively tie in their battle against eachother and their hearts merge or whatever to become ansem. xehanort fucked it up! would be cool... anyway. i just wanted to get all my thoughts out my head. istg bbs is so boring and mediocre i drives my brain crazy trying to fill in a blank canvas.

houghg. venitas .i have So many thoughts about them lem im sosoaoso happy u asked !!!!.we’re going bullet point mode 4 this one (And to clarify these are more specifically abt what I think venitas would be like if ventus and vanitas chose to reunite)

my fav hc is that their appearance is always fluctuating. from more venlike to more vanilike to any kind of blend between based off of how they’re feeling. it makes them super uncanny to look at bc u could look away for a second and they would look just slightly different when you look back. (watching their hair change color and length in real time is very freaky) eye color is their biggest emotional tell

i think they speak with both ven and vanis voices at the same time like in game. this adds to the uncanniness and about them .i think the degree to which each voice is more prominent might change based on feelings as well

i cant decide if they work more like a su fusion or just venvan piloting them around pixars inside out style

they inherited vens pass out when stressed (or when theres too much arguing in your head) genes but not the classic j mccartney yelps so they will just randomly collapse and its terrifying

naturally tries to imitate ven when they are around new people/super stressed .they can be unsettlingly close but it usually leads to them passing out again. they dont go full vani very often but in certain situations itll happen

any sort of decision making is an ordeal .but Especially when it comes to clothes and food

itd be cool if they could dual wield wayward wind and void gear

Worlds Most Complicated relationship with touch and physical contact. ventus very desperately needs it from his friends while it makes vani want to crawl out of his skin .venitas struggles

has a habit of speaking their thoughts out loud and is very bad at holding their tongue despite very much so wanting to be good at it

vicious opponent in battle but otherwise are like an extremely nervous chihuahua

basically. to me theyr guy that is not exactly one whole guy but is still more than just one guy .frankensteiney and stitched together rather oddly. You immediately get the vibe that they are a Huge Anomaly and are probably bending the rules of nature

and really. the personification of one of the most powerful weapons ever is not going to be very normal

He sneaks a glance to himmel who’s distracted with his phone and slides his hand near your inner thighs. Out of reflex, you clamped your thighs together that stopped his hand from moving further. Your face was burning hot, the ac inside wasn’t even helping and you try to cover it up by drinking the wine given by the waitress so they’ll assume you’re getting a bit tipsy.

Venti merely smirks in amusement and pulls his hand away. This really requires time and he knows very well you’re still not used to public affections. So seems like the first step is exploring your kinks and fetishes. Hopefully a new idea arises soon

Hey anon! Its been a while huh? I gotta tell u ive been thinking about answering u for a while but this time was the busiest work has gotten and its been so tough to not just get home and sleep lol. But I also been working on this too.

First off, it makes total sense and its super interesting to think about. Ben and Sora are just two sides of the same main character idiot lol. The Kevin/Riku swap was a no brainer, but I feel a sassy Lil sis Kairi works too well and Ben struggling between two love interests works best. Imagine all the Sora aliens tho. He probably would name them the same because theyre both lame XD. Also Bens keyblade looks so cool and sleek. And Kevin with a car keyblade is TOO perfect XDDD.

I was also thinking about how the others could fit into this. Obviously I want anyone with even the slight relation to Ben to be in the Heart Squad. Gwen being Ven may be a stretch personality wise but the fact Gwen is her own person like Ven made it work in my eyes. Also Ellie making Bree (a twin OC that shouldnt exist) made her being Roxas so heartbreaking. Albedo and Vanitas is obvious lol. Eunice and Xion are both experiments that wanna be their own people. Nami being Julie is more that she has Kairi aspects and is also really sweet like Julie. Also Nami with a Ship equivalent is too cute. And of course Roxas being someone who isn't real. Big oof. Also Ellies story with Bree in her own Ben 10 AU makes it even worse. Ill just say he was missing for a long time.

Anyway very interesting question and I hope u keep asking me things 🙏 I appreciate u so much and Im definitely gonna try and answer more often.

a SorVen raising Roxas from baby-hood

just shhhhh listen okay

sora is most definitely the goofy "dad joke" one

ven is the rational, kind of stressed husband

despite this, sora can cook, ventus...cannot.

i mean he definitely tries but the farhtest he has gotten is grilled cheese sandwiches

and roxas has had enough of grilled cheese for lunch

roxas remembers bits and pieces of the time he was sora's nobody

but he's hesitant in calling ventus and sora by their names.

sora is dad, ventus is pa or pops

roxas became a baby because of some mishap with ansem and the others

at first sora and ventus just raise him as friends

but they sorta fell in bed together one day

it all went downhill from there

roxas has a tiny streak of brown hair bc i like liverpepper's older!roxas design its so,,, pretty,,,,

sora is the openly PDA partner, ventus is the blushing type.

despite everyone thinking roxas inherited ventus' temperament, roxas actually has sora's. they just express it differently.

riku and kairi definitely have photos of both sora and roxas being mad and have had countless debates on why they look the same

sora has definitely been more cheeky, even going so far as to push ventus against a counter and seducing him right then and there

outsiders are so confused as to why ventus keeps saying roxas took after sora more

Copy pasta improvised terra-slept-with-joshua-and-ven-is-upset-about-it fic i wrote in a discord chat for any terravens willing to overlook the present tense sketch writing, i hope you enjoy the angsty comedy drama --

so by chance, vens assigned gym partner for the day is joshua~ sora is stuck with roxas in the bg which is also amusing if you wanna know the background noise to this xD ven is an utter sweetie and has no personal problem with joshua so hes happy to pick up his slack on their activities today since he understands some people just dont care for athletics, especially when they have pretty looks to preserve for rehearsal tonight^^ at the end of class joshua offers his coy appreciation to ven who was such a cute gentleman today in getting him through that~ and then he makes some remark about how he never wouldve guessed ven even was that physically inclined given what he thought terras taste in men was~ ven lowers an eyebrow and asks "huh? what does that mean? =o=" and joshua chuckles "oh it was a long time ago, nothing to wonder about now~ i will say this though, you my friend? are one very very lucky bottom ;) keep a close eye on him." and then he saunters off to his next class. ven squints =.= hes a lil grumpy now x)

come lunch time, terra and aqua have already sat down at their usual table, seniors come in first, and theyre settled in with aqua going over some extra terms with terra for their history exam. sophomores finally file in and ven marches over with the tray of food he didnt even look at when he was at the counter. terra turns with a smile to see him and plants his usual kiss hello on his cheek as ven sits down with a slight fwomp, not responding to it. terra asks "everything okay? :o" and aqua looks over to check if hes feeling alright, not spotting any signs of sickness. ven responds almost gritting his teeth "i've been better. =_ =" terra tells aqua he'll help her study in a minute, cuz obviously upset boyfriend takes priority<3 he sinks his fingers into vens hair and asks him if he wants to talk about it. and ven takes a deep breath, trying to resume his usual Good Boi Angel attitude, gently swats terras hand away and says "Maybe later, you and aqua can go ahead and study! 8) I'll even help you if you like~" terra recognizes that this is certainly not over but hes not gonna force ven to talk or anything so he kinda nervously says okay.. and then tells aqua "Wanna quiz me?" and aqua says sure, and starts reading off the list of vocab words only for ven to suddenly smack the table and turn sharply to terra and ask "WHEN WERE YOU GONNA TELL ME YOU SLEPT WITH JOSHUA????" and terra just- O//__//O oops.. and aqua looks at terra all disappointed and grossed out and groans "Oh, terra, you didn't... >~<" and terra is so embarrassed and tries to explain to ven's scowl "i-it was a long time ago! really it meant nothing! :'D... a-and besides it was even before I met you! so.. thats- alright?" and he glances over at aqua hoping for some kind of validation but she just goes "ughh..." in the most smh big sister voice xDDD

ven exhales, trying to cool off and be rational, but his usual sweet happy face just cant help being all =_ = at terra, and he says "I guess its- fine, but- gosh, really? joshua? you didnt have feelings for him, did you? er was this just a fling? how long ago was this?" and terra stumbles to answer saying "i-it was- um... back when i first came out! people were telling me i couldnt say i was bi if i'd never had sex with a guy too, so i- had to prove it! thats all, really, it was nothing meaningful to me, honest<3 :'3 I'm not like that." as he cups vens cheeks playfully, but where theres usually a smile between puffed out cheeks theres still just a >:T ven folds his arms and tries again to collect himself and says "i guess i get it.. i guess xT thats really all it was? no more secrets?" and terra swears with his hand up and his eyes closed "I swear thats all it was v_v." aqua shakes her head and tells terra "Youre gonna owe ven preeetty big after this blows over :/" but before ven can even respond terra has already jumped in to tell her "I'll do anything to make ven happy! theres absolutely nothing to worry about~ :')" and ven is still kinda pissed but he finally says "okay. i'll let it go. here aqua, i can read off the list and quiz both of you" and aqua slides ven the paper to read off while she glares at terra who glares back at her as if to say 'drop it =.='

so thats the end of it for the day, and the next day too, but then the next day is gym again, and whatever sora and roxas are struggling with in the bg is still going on xD and ven and joshua are partners again. ven is still not comfortable with the idea of his terra sleeping with joshua, the twink incubus of the school fdkjgh but hes a nice boy so hes going to continue being nice and get joshua through this "drag of an hour, and not even the fun kind" pff joshua can kinda tell ven is pretty tense today though, unusual for him since ven is always the nicest kid in the whole school next to maybe sora. so finally near the end he asks if something's on his mind and ven realizes ack, what am i doing? there is no reason for me to be such a jerk. so he tells joshua "im really sorry, I mean it, I have no business acting like this;; i just- when i found out you slept with terra i was kinda.. uncomfortable about it to say the least, but i have no reason to be, youre perfectly nice :) besides, it was before he even met me so it doubly doesnt matter~^^" but thats where joshua raises an eyebrow. "oh? i think youre a little mixed up there cutie pie~ terra and i had sex together last year. some time after you transferred. I was amazed at the offer, really, i honestly thought that once he met you, none of us other cuties had a chance. but it looks like he landed you in the end, so it is of no matter. but i do certainly hope that you and he are happy, terra is quite the catch and we'll all be quite jealous of you til the end~ catch you around ;)" and thats the end of that conversation. ven. is. livid. 8)

so ven actually skipped lunch with his friends 8) terra looks around curiously, he still isnt showing up and hes not texting him back either. aqua asks him "doesnt ven have gym today?" and terra answers like its a dumb question pff "yeah? its thursday, everybody has gym today. its gym day." and she shakes her head at him and says "I think you should give him some space. im pretty sure i know where he is. :/" terra looks uneasy tho. "do you think hes okay?" and aqua says "oh... im sure he will be." terra grips his arms and tries not to think about it 8)

senior gym class is last period and they start filing in as the juniors file out. terra fist bumps riku on his way in xD terra is practically exempt from whatever is on the activities list cuz hes.. terra and gym class is honestly childs play pff he finishes everything in 2 seconds anyway. so usually the coach just lets him bench press for a while. highschools are bullshit xD aqua has that privilege too but she considers it a warm up before her practice later and does them anyway. terra takes his time prepping the bench, saving himself the trouble of dealing with the crowd in the locker room, and once they all run out he yoinks his gym bag up to his shoulder just to be extra pff and marches on in there to change. weird that everyone is snickering at him on their way out though... he walks inside, humming mindlessly to himself cuz gym class is his chance to relax after school before his practice. and then he half screams in surprise as his gym bag falls to the floor. ven is sitting right there in front of the lockers with the angriest look on his face terra didnt even know he /could/ make jhdfgl ven "sings" out "hello, terra. >8(" and terra just- run kdjfhglhdfsg

terra runs back to the bench as if he can just- run away from reality kdjsfhgljkdfs xDDD and start bench pressing cuz he doesnt know what else to do sdklfjhglsdj im having too much fun with this i love dumb ass jocks and soft cuties xDDD ven launches himself on top of terra pushing down on the weights terra was about to pump up and yells "YOU SLEPT WITH JOSHUA WHILE YOU WERE COURTING ME?!?!?!?!!!!"

(everyone in the gym is cackling quietly to themselves at the display sdfkjgh this AMAZING xD) terra looks up at ven in fear and stutters "I-I didnt think i had a chance with you! you didnt seem interested D:!" ven yells "OF COURSE I WAS INTERESTED YOURE JUST SHIT AT FLIRTING!!!!!!!" terra tries to calm him down "youre gonna break the bench press, ven! D:" the coach comes over at all the yelling and yells at them "HEY, break it up--" only to be shut right up when ven glares at him and growls and terra looks at him utterly terrified dfkjhg and motions for him to leave them alone. the coach is both very scared of ven xD and also doesnt wanna lose his quarterback so he smiles and holds his hands up in surrender and says "hey, you know what? why dont you two work it out amongst yourselves?^^;;; maybe somewhere that isnt my expensive bench press though?" ven yells "FINE." and grabs terra by the wrist and drags him back to the locker rooms using a scary strength terra didnt know he had dkfjglh O_O;; aqua pauses her stretches and shakes her head and mumbles "it was nice knowing you, terra. :/" and then resumes her work out xD

well ven flings terra into the locker room and shuts the door with a slam and chews him out. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HUMILIATING THIS FEELS?!!! YOU SLEPT WITH THAT LITTLE HORNDOG AFTER I CAME HERE AND THEN YOU LIED TO ME ABOUT IT SO I HAD TO FIND OUT FROM THE HORNDOG HIMSELF?!!! GIMME YOUR BEST EXPLANATION FOR THAT, TERRA, JUST TRY ME!!!! >8UUUUUU" terra reaches out his trembling hands bravely to try and calm ven down, before he pulls his hair out and he cries out "I'm SORRY, i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry, okay, I didn't do it to hurt you!!!! It was just a small thing-" "AHAHAH IS THAT WHAT IT IS THEN??? WELL IF IT WAS SUCH A SMALL "tHinG" THEN WHY WOULD YOU LIE TO ME ABOUT IT, WHAT OTHER SECRETS HAVE YOU BEEN KEEPING?!!! DID YOU SLEEP WITH RIKU TOO? ANYMORE CHEERLEADERS I DONT KNOW ABOUT??? OR MAYBE JOSHUA AGAIN AT SOME POINT????!!! >8'DDDD" ven is about to lose his mind sdjfhg terra is starting to feel upset too ;~; "No, I don't have anymore secrets, after we started dating I havent even so much as THOUGHT of anyone else! I mean that! :'U" he pleas, finally managing to place loving hands on vens shoulders as he prays for forgiveness dkfjhg ven finally just cries it out letting himself sob into his palms and terra steps in closer, hating to see ven cry, and this is much worse knowing hes the cause of it ;-;

ven glances up again, terras scent hitting him and that warm chest right in front of him that he loves and he just buries his face in it not knowing what else to do dkfgh terra holds him, stroking his back, mulling over in his head how many ways he could apologize for this but then ven pushes himself away again, hes still so upset >~< and he sniffles "why. did you lie to me about it." terras face goes red and he fishes for his words "because i- i care what you think ven." ven scoffs, but his frown hardens and he wipes his eyes "you care what i think, and so you LIED to me? what am i supposed to think?" terra replies quickly "i dont know :'u i guess i just didnt want you to think..." ven holds himself and turns away. terra supposes he has to just- be honest then, its worth a try if it keeps him from losing the love of his life. "Look, I- I lied because the way you look at me matters to much. I care what you think of me more than anyone else, ven." ven sniffles, his back still turned to terra "oh yeah?" and terra glides over to turn him around and look at him, taking vens hands in his. "yes! ven youre the nicest, kindest, most pure hearted person i've ever met. i cant even imagine there being a darkness in your heart. who even says "slept with" and "courted" anymore besides a sweetheart like you? youre like an angel to me, but i- dont have the best reputation anymore. and the number of partners ive had seemed to disgust you. it broke my heart the way you looked at me the other day knowing that id slept with joshua. like you thought i was- i dunno.. im sorry i did it, i really am. i never wouldve done it if i'd known you really did want me too." ven reaches up and places a hand to terras cheek promising "Terra, I think the world of you. i wouldnt be with you if i didnt think you were a great person. the best even! you know how much i admire you. i just- was I just a fling? how do i know im not the next joshua or shiki you sl- have sex with and drop?"

and terra leans down to kiss his forehead and chuckles "because you're you, silly." that gets ven smiling again, the cornier the better with him<3 he presses his nose to terras chest and slides his arms up over his back for a tight hug and terra is so relieved they got through that dkfgjhdjl f ven tells him "I'm sorry for making you feel judged. i was way too rash about that whole thing." terra tells him its alright, imeanididlietoyouafterallahem.. ven goes = _= for just a second, cuz yeah that sure wasnt cool dfkjgh but he removes it cuz mostly hes back to smiling and he pulls himself away to look up at terra again, admitting with a blush "i guess i'm still in disbelief that youre really mine. maybe in 5 years or something i'll believe it" ven chuckles at his joke, but terra smiles down at him very sincerely and says "then i'm counting the years with you til then~" and that just tickles him and he jumps up to give terra make up smooches for a while<3 eventually they emerge from the locker room, ven clearly looking like hed been crying but smiling away again, even feeling okay enough to go to class now, cuz hes a good boy who wouldnt just ditch at that point like i would xD terra looks relieved too. aqua breaks formation when she sees them come out and runs up to ven to ask if hes okay and hug him if he needs, but ven says "everythings fine :) thanks aqua~" and aqua looks up at terra to double check that and terra nods affirmatively that yes, everything is fine. ven nudges aqua "see you at practice today~" and waves at terra too, knowing he prefers not to smooch in front of the other seniors;; but terra tells him to hang on and he runs over to give him a smooch goodbye and all is well after that<3 and axel snarks "tchh- drama queens :/"

one day but im gonna have a nice long think about the kh3 timeline for my soranort au and mainly what hes doing in the disney worlds and write that all out for reference but i was thinking about san fransokyo a little bit earlier

i like to imagine he gets paired off with each worlds respective org member (marluxia in corona, larxene in arendelle, etc) with specific orders in mind (either seek out the new seven hearts or search for the black box) but i feel like san fransokyo would be the one they send him off to alone with very little orders to go off on. probably something like “we need you to investigate the world, do so at your leisure” and he’s just ‘???yeah yall are definitely up to something but like hell im gonna look this gift horse in the mouth’

and then things play out kinda similarly. he arrives on the world, alone, and thinks “i have GOT to tell riku about this!” and then he remembers Oh Yeah. I Cant See Them Right Now :( (((side note, riku is the one to rescue aqua. it all plays out the same up to the point where hes like “SORA....” and much like aqua when fighting vanitas asked for terra and ven to lend her her strength his keyblade glows and he goes in to STRIKE and yeah you get the idea))) and thats when baymax and hiro and the team arrive and sora helps them take out the heartless and they go back to garage with the AR Device etc etc etc It plays out pretty much the same.

then we get to the darkubes. And rikunort appears. sora says he doesnt know WHAT rikunorts doing. (“As if this stupid experiment wasn’t already a hassle.” “Experiment? Riku, what are you talking about? What’s the Organization doing?”) Hiro explains the thing with the red chip and Riku disappears and they punch it again. Riku comes back to take the chip and Sora asks him again to explain himself. It’s less about revealing Time Travel BS and Replicas and more what the Organization is doing and how Baymax’s heart contributes to the Organizations goals. So the conversation kinda skips to ‘To see if we can recreate a heart from data’ and even the ‘that walking balloon has a heart, or thats the nonsense im supposed to believe’ line. Hiro butts in about the chip, Soras still confused with what the Organization wants, Riku leaves.

BH6 needs to rest and regroup and back at the garage is when they ask Sora whats the deal with him and Riku cause like... they obviously know each other and wear the same coat. its hella suspicious. Sora really doesnt like to talk about it and he insists he doesnt know what Riku is doing and asks the group to trust him. They may dress the same but Sora doesnt consider himself an ally (“There’s this... group. They don’t fight fair and say things to get under your skin. I don’t like them or agree with that they’re doing. But I can’t just walk away. That was... one of my best friend’s back there-- Riku. I don’t know what they’re making him do but I need help him. It’s my fault they’re coming after you. Let me help you take back Baymax’s heart.”). BH6 is kinda on the fence but Darkubes are attacking so they head out.

they do the ITS NOT THE SUM OF OUR PARTS BUT THE SUM OF OUR HEARTS and Riku literally jumps in and says THE TERROR OF BEING ATTACKED WITHOUT WARNING etc and Sora and BH6 interject and Riku drops the THATS WHY I MADE SURE OUR CREATION FOUGHT YOU / YOURE GOING TO DESTROY HIM IN FRONT OF HIRO lines. its plays out pretty much the same from here with some added Sora like This is why the Organization wanted me to come here! hes not surprised just disappointed he didnt see this coming sooner. Like he anticipated it but not quite to this degree kjhfdkg

but sora and baymax punch dark baymax and all ends well and pretty much the same. although i imagine theres a final scene in the garage where hiro asks if soras going to be alright dealing with that Organization group and riku and sora smiles his usual smile like ‘yeah dont worry i’ll okay! there’s still a lot left i have to do, and everyones counting on me to do it!’ as if thats not one of the major stressors in his life. BUT HES FINE HES OKAY REALLY : ) and hiro and the team wish him well and sora wishes them the same and then he asks to take a baymax with him

the post-world cutscene is sora like HEY! RIKU. WHAT THE FIZZITYUCK WAS ALL THAT BACK THERE and i dont know rikunort enough to come up with a response but im sure its antagonistic and soras like WELL I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I like the baby he is. but for reals they prob have a brief chat about what the organization wants with creating hearts from data and tricking sora into it and i feel like riku gives some half hearted “How should I know, I just do what they tell me to do so I don’t get beat black and blue like you :/” and walks away. with no answers from riku i dunno if sora would try another member or not cause he knows its not like theyll tell him much else.

but as a little side note im p sure the Anti Aqua stuff happens after this and i know i said earlier that riku is the one to rescue her but when theyre fighting and riku’s like “SORA......” i feel like soras just sitting in his room and feels his heart go like BA-DUMP and he gasps like RIKU?! as he puts his hand over his heart cause KH would do something like that and Then rikus keyblade glows and punches aqua and then saves her and Yeah! cool.

this got much longer than i anticipated.

tbh i think square/disney really wanted the organization to be bad™ and irredeemable™ but they shot themself in the foot after they sprinkled in the various moments where its established that the individuals of the org arent inherently evil. which means that them having ienzo be a child originally makes it strange to have such malicious hate aimed at him in the same series where characters are expected to grow and learn and sympathize. but idk lol

im taking this chance to ramble under the cut , wh e e z e. Warning for KH3 spoilers and Mod Demyx rant rant

in my humble ass opinion, it really just feels like Nomura had a bunch of cool ideas in general, but then the train went rogue and they started adding a shit ton of plot twists (that they’d later have to explain and make relevant to the main plot) for the sake of continuing the saga and milking more money bc KH was part of so many people’s childhoods

like, it’s one of my fave games and sagas ever but to be honest, i’d love for some other company to fucking remake the entire plot without the pretense of “we gotta be kid friendly bc Disney is here uwu”. Like, you can’t really be dramatic and make any important events when every character is just gonna come back, only killing off those that you don’t know how to continue.

and it’s such a weird fucking ? amalgamation of stuff too ? not even the fact that we’re mixing talking animals,disney princesses and final fantasy shit into it, but like - sometimes it shows scenes that are too dark for Disney and sometimes it just skims over shit that it should have some proper closure because o h it’s too dark for a kid’s game. And then even deeper shit is hinted in the novels and manga bUT TYING BACK TO MY PREVIOUS ANSWERED POST, YOU CAN’T EXPAND ON LORE TO MAKE YOUR CREATION MORE STABLE LIKE THIS - IF YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN OR EXPAND UPON SOMETHING, HAVE B A L L S AND DO IT IN THE GAME, WHICH IS THE MAIN FOCUS

Like, in KH3 they wanted everyone to get redeemed and “close off a chapter of this story” but honestly ? it was fucking rushed and done in a pretty shitty way, in my opinion.

Ienzo just shows up wanting to help and there’s no repercussions to his actions as a nobody, he’s just like “uwu hi” and everyone’s too caught up in Sora having a phone to even care that this was one of the guys that gave them h e l l in Castle Oblivion. Same with the other apprentices, Aeleus and Dilan get no spoken lines, just a line explaining how they also wanted to be better tossed in all carelessly. That’s their redemption.

And don’t get me wrong, I fucking adore Zexion/Ienzo, he was my crush as a kid, but ? he’s just used to show that Nobodies can be chill and they’ve been all controlled by a bigger evil, as well as part of Ansem’s own redeeming arc instead of having his O W N redeeming arc. He’s virtually useless despite all the protagonism they gave him in KH3, cause sure he calls Sora to let him know shit and he’s supposedly “working on Big Stuff for the Good Guys(tm)”, but all of this work and character development happens off-screen. Same with Vexen/Even - and he at least gets like two scenes showing that he actively works in the shadows to redeem himself.

And I know it’s hard to make a game and they’ve been at it for a long fucking time and it requires a lot of shit but ? ? ? hONESTLY I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU ALL BUT I PREFER TO GET A SOLID CLOSURE ON THE MAIN SHIT AND THEN MAYBE GET MORE CLOSURE FOR LESS BUT STILL IMPORTANT GROUPS IN OTHER GAMES OR REMIXES SINCE THEYRE SUPER KEEN ON MAKING A SHIT TON OF SPIN-OFFS AND STUFF. LIKE, THAT SEEMS BETTER THAN HAVING A LOT OF SMALLER PLOTS JUST SPRINKLED THERE LIKE “WHOOPS AND THEY WERE ALL HAPPY AGAIN”

cAUSE THEY DON’T EVEN STOP THERE. THEY TRY TO CLOSE A LOT OF SHIT, BUT THEN ADD A LOT OF VAGUE CRYPTIC SHIT FOR THE UPCOMING GAMES AND STORIES ? ? ?

like I love the final battle part a lot because it’s ? ? ? so fucking badass and it’s the end of all this journey we’ve been on, it’s Sora vs Xenahort, it’s the light vs the darkness, it’s Master Eraqus’ legacy vs Xenahort’s army.

but it’s just an easy cheap way to close off so much shit in a short time.

the sea salt trio ? reunited. the wayfinder trio ? reunited. the remaining Nobodies who still have no fucking backstories ? gone with a hint of “we’ll be back as good guys”. Like, they added fucking Ephemera as the “light from the past”, inviting the connection between the current timeline with KHux bUT THERE’S STILL NOTHING ON LAURIAM/MARLUXIA. AND THEN THERE’S A FUCKING CUTSCENE OF VENTUS HUGGING A FUCKING CHIRITHY LIKE, YOURE NOT EXPLAINING NOR HELPING ANYONE, NOMURA.

LIKE THE SECRET CUTSCENE IMPLIES 2 THINGS : NEW CHARACTERS (FROM RIKU’S POINT OF VIEW, SINCE HE’S WATCHED BY YOZORA) AND THE COME BACK OF THE TWEWY FRANCHISE WHOSE INVOLVEMENT HAD BEEN COMPLETELY IGNORED AND JUST ABANDONED SINCE DDD. SURE, DREAM EATERS WERE HELLA IMPORTANT AND THERE’S SLEEPING WORDS THERE. AND THERE’S IMPORTANT SHIT GOING ON WITH VANITAS AND THE UNVERSED. BUT ALL WE GOT WAS A DREAM EATER SUMMONING, LIKE 5 UNVERSED ENEMIES AND MORE UNNECESSARY CONFUSION

Like I get it that KH3 was supposed to be the ending of some things and the beginning of other new things and I get that there were a lot of setbacks and things involved, but even with it’s amazing graphics and fun gameplay, it’s still another trainwreck regarding plot. But we all just keep eating it up because we’re desperate to know how it ends and bc childhood nostalgia keeps us here at gunpoint

also i’m mad that out of all KH girls, only Aqua got her time to shine. Like sure, you can argue and say that Kairi took the spotlight after saving Sora again and being a good 70% of Sora’s strength, but as usual she was thrown back into her spot as “princess in distress”, with her training and character development happening off-screen in a place that conveniently has no effect to the current events. And speaking of training, she just immediately becomes besties with Axel despite all the shit they went through with him trying to kidnap her and whatnot. And sPEAKING OF AXEL, HE GOT WAY MORE DEVELOPMENT THAN ROXAS OR XION OR KAIRI OR AQUA HERSELF

AND THAT’S SAYING SOMETHING CAUSE AQUA GOES THROUGH A LOT OF SHIT IN THIS GAME - She finally succumbs to darkness, she goes out of it, she saves Ven, reunites with Terra and after sO MANY FUCKING YEARS, she’s back on the realm of light. And that moment when she asks where they are and they tell her she’s back home and she raises her head to look at the sun and she cries ? ? that made me S H I V E R and TEAR UP MYSELF - but still, after all of that she goes to pretty much doing nothing while Axel here goes through a keyblade training, seeing Kairi as Xion, making ammends with his best friend, reuniting with his two adopted kids after so much shit and hinting anOTHER SUBPLOT WITH HIM, ISA AND A “SECRET GIRL” FRIEND THEY HAD.

BUT FROM XION WE ONLY GET THE PLOT CONVENIENT COMEBACK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATTLE SO SHE CAN REUNITE WITH HER FRIENDS. A BIT OF INNER ANGST HERE AND THERE AND BOOM IT’S OVER SHE’S HAPPY NOW.

AND NAMINE ? DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. SHE’S GONE FOR SO LONG, ONLY SHOWING UP AS A STAR, MENTIONED OFF HAND BY KAIRI AND THEN SHE FINALLY GETS HER DESERVED LIFE IN THE ENDING CUTSCENE WHEN RIKU COMES TO PICK HER ASS UP. (im also mad that everyone got a happy/bittersweet ending except Vanitas and Repliku but that’s just me being sad aBOUT MY SONS)
