Humans are Weird: Not Eating

(Not sure if this has been done already, but here goes)

So humans sometimes just don't eat right? Some religions have fasts where you don't eat for X amount of time. Sometimes we skip a meal or two because we're just too busy. I know that I sometimes just straight up forget to eat because I'm too focused on a project or activity. And that has to be weird.

Human Greta: *rushes past* "Crap I'm late hurry hurry hurry..."

Dantasca'an Bilroth: "Good yardox Greta, may I accompany you to the cafeteria? I believe they have pig bacon and chicken eggs prepared for all Terrans."

Greta: *not bothering to stop* "No I don't have time to eat I missed my alarm and now I'm late for work"

Bilroth: "But... Is your stomach not pained? And your head weak?"

Greta: *about to round the corner* "Yeah a little but I'll ignore it."

Bilroth: "??? But??? You will die without sustenance???"

Vanahar: *rushes into his colleague's private chambers, limbs clacking in distress* "Stephen! You missed your midday feeding! Are you... What are you doing?"

Stephen: *barely bothering to look up from the screen* "What? Van, it's my day off man! I'm trying to watch this new episode of Supernatural."

Vanahar: "You- you missed 'lunch'. I thought you would require assistance to the medical wing?"

Stephen: *checks watch* "Oh. Hm. Guess I just lost track of time! That's alright, I'll grab some dinner in a couple hours."

Vanahar: "So... You're not in need of medical attention?"

Stephen: *already watching the screen again* "Nah man I'm good. Thanks though!"

Vanahar: ?????????????????????

Zaazr: "Remind me why you have not eaten or taken in any liquid. Isn't water and food crucial for Terrans to survive?"

Rachel: "Yeah it is, but drinking counts as breaking my fast."

Zaazr: "So Terrans willingly put themselves near death for the sake of their religion?"

Rachel: "No not really. I mean, I'm a little weak and very hungry, but I'm not going to die from it. I haven't even fasted for a full Earth day yet."

Zaazr: "Come again?"

Rachel: "We- can go a few days without water and weeks without food. You knew that right?"

Zaazr: "??? No???"

Rachel: "Wait, how long can you go?"

Zaazr: "Two and a half Earth hours without either!"

Rachel: "Oh... Well... I'm good! I mean, just give me a few more hours and I'll join you in the cafeteria!"

Zaazr: *muttering under breath* "If I had eyelids, I believe the Terran phrase 'eyes widened with fear' would apply..."
