Okay, but let's talk for a second about accessibility in M!IK's Netherworld. First of all, I love, LOVE, that the characters in this manga are so heterogeneous in size and shape. I mean, look at MeiMei, they're as big as one of Amduscias's foot, and still taken very seriously :')

Tbh it kinda makes most other series look pretty boring - and I like it this way, the real world is heterogeneous and media should be to (imo). With that said, different shapes can be treated very differently, right? Say, think about making fat people pay for a bigger seat instead of making bigger seats where everyone is more comfy... Weird right? Specifically this panels really hit me:

It low-key sent me into a spiral, not gonna lie. "So, we are literal demons and technically we live in a ruthless world, but also we think about the needs of everybody and accomodate accordingly, because why wouldn't we" And that's not it! For instance, not all demons have tails, but all Babyls uniforms have holes for them, and who doesn't have one simply carries on with their life. (Also, the freedom to customize them... Top notch. And you can mix and match like Opera did, or wear a different one like Azz and Ameri, so no real binarism either ♡)

Honestly, if this is how the Netherworld is, I may just start to summon random demons and ask to be brought there, it's worth a chance if you ask me

I just realized something… each of the love trio has something to hide, from not only everyone else, but each other.

Iruma is the fact he’s human.

Azz is his bloodline magic

And Clara has her wings

Normally people would perceive this as a bad thing, but as Azz’s mom states, keeping a few secrets from each other doesn’t hurt them, and they still love each other regardless.

It’s a good lesson to learn: That it’s ok to keep secrets from people, even those that are really close to you.

Keeping a few secrets to yourself is fine, and you shouldn’t say them unless you trust people and you yourself are ready to tell them.

In the end, all three love each other and are happy, and thats all that matters ^^

Okay can I just say that your posts on the love trio always makes my day?? I get stupid happy on seeing your posts because everyone I've met calls me silly for thinking the ship is gonna set sail because it's poly, "this ships better", and so on. I don't care if it doesn't happen and people's can ship who they want! but, It's just tiring getting picked on because of it being a poly ship. Your posts makes me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one and to see many others love the ship/wabt it to sail too! I'm sorry to rant to you like this. 😓

I'm answering this super late like really really late, sorry. Today I had a terrible day so I took the opportunity to answer this post that I was postponing because I wanted to make this post something like "my love letter to the love trio" and I knew this was not going to be a short post.

First of all, reading that my posts about them make someone's day made me super happy and warmed my heart! They are so precious to me that knowing that posting something that makes me happy also makes other people's day feels super good! You know I also had trouble getting into the fandom first, because that whenever I mentioned that they were my ot3 in Facebook groups (I'm a person who uses fb more tbh) there was always someone telling me "this ship is better and is basically canon" or even making me feel weird for shipping a poly couple...

That made me feel bad or angry lol, I think that even made me unable to connect with their ship "that's better". But the ship itself is great and super cute.

Anyway, what's funny is that I didn't even ship poly ships before you know? Love trio was my first ship like that (now have more poly ships tho).

At the beginning I only shipped Iruma and Azz, they were my otp but as natural as touching water and getting wet Clara was slowly joining the equation. I can't say exactly at what point this change occurred I just know that in my experience it was impossible to ship Iruma with Azz and not end up shipping Iruma with Clara as well or vice versa.

Azz and Clara have so many parallels about their feelings for Iruma, he is so important to both of them, he was a huge positive change for both of them that if someone for example thinks Azz is in love with Iruma there is no way they wouldn't think Clara is too.

And in Iruma's case he loves both in the same way, they are both equally precious to him.

Chapter 0.5 shows exactly that, how much of an impact they have on each other , the lives of all three were wildly different but immensely similar in how lonely they were.

I'm so happy that the three of them found each other.

Azz and Clara are Iruma's safe place, at the harvest festival Iruma kept saying he wanted to see Azz and Clara because it made him feel better and I find that so endearing. He is in difficult time and who does he think makes him feel better? Them.

And the fact that Azz and Clara at that time were also thinking they wanted to see Iruma? Lovely.

Another thing I love about these three, is that Azz at the beginning was "valac, don't stick to Iruma-sama so much" and it went to "Well, only stupid clara and I can stick to Iruma-sama, but only the two of us!" and is that Azz and Clara are very jealous (maybe it's something innate to demons) but they don't jealous with each other, well yes but not in the way they are jealous with others.

Their jealousy is not "I don't want you to spend time with Iruma-sama/chi but "I want to spend the same amount of time with Iruma as you, if you spend more time it would be unfair" AND THAT SEEMS SUPER HEALTHY TO ME IN SOME WAY? Like I can see them being in a poly relationship

In this scene Purson, Lied and Clara hug Iruma because obviously the boy needed a hug at that moment.

Azz scolds Lied and Purson but what about Clara? Clara can hug Iruma, she is in her right(?

Azz and Clara accepted each other as equals in their relationship with Iruma, they are soul mates but only them and no one else.

Clara telling Iruma that she loves him but also loves Azz, and that Azz loves them both, they are a loving trio.

Azz thinking why isn't Clara on his almost date with Iruma because it's always the three of them.

It's cute how even though this outing is more about the bond between Iruma and Azz, Clara doesn't stop being involved the whole time. It was her idea for the two of them to go out alone, it was her plan for fun.

Even though Azz "monopolized" Iruma and that was unfair in Clara's own words, she didn't make a drama about it and instead makes a plan for those two to spend even more time together because she knows Azz isn't well and he really needs it.

They have matching rings!

When I saw that Azz, Clara and Iruma had matching rings thanks to Raim-sensei and Amaryllis' gifts I died of tenderness.

I was sure it was no coincidence that Azz and Clara put it on the same hand and finger as Iruma. And then this sukima confirmed what I thought.

Basically Raim-sensei gives the rings to Clara and Ix, tells them that they can change size with magic if they want to.

Eliza tells Clara that she is thinking about putting it on her horn or tail and what about her.

But Clara doesn't answer because she is super happy and excited looking at her ring that she already put on the same hand and finger as Iruma!

Eliza has probably guessed why Clara's reaction and so she decides to make her ring bigger to put it on her horn.

Azz is happy for the same reason as Clara he even says "just like Iruma-sama's".

This extra is very special to me, everything is so sweet and soft.

Here I could get poetic and start talking at length about how the ring they were so excited about because it somehow linked them to Iruma also linked them to each other without them expecting it and how meeting Iruma also made them meet each other because without him they would never talk to each other and a lot of other things but since this is already long enough and I don't think you want to read me getting cheesy I'll just say it's beautiful that the shared love Azz and Clara have for Iruma also made love born between the two of them.

Ink study on Welcome to Demon school! Iruma-kun (volume 1, chapter 3) by Osamu Nishi Incidentally, chapter 3 was when I understood that I was in love with this manga - Iruma telling Clara that he wants to play with her even without compensation makes me cry like a baby every time
