"If by 'ridiculous' you mean 'gonna freeze but kinda sexy', I'd have to agree with you." Customs toward the close of the year varied in different parts of the Continent, but generally seemed to center around celebration - either of a good harvest, religious interests, or simply one last hurrah before a winter that some of them might not survive.

Regardless, this particular town honoured a sort of semi-deity who favoured red clothing with white fur, and for her own amusement Thera had decided to join in. Cautiously, because she wasn't up to speed with all the nuances and she didn't want to stir up any religious zealots or anything like that.

He wasn’t the best peptalker to have around, more blunt and honest than anything else. Barney thought he could be the best person to offer some words of advice or encouragement. Christmas has given him a look, one Barney was all too familiar with, like he was crazy. Hell, even insane for suggesting he go but Barney kept pushing and Lee knew better at that point than to keep arguing. So he went to talk to the smaller blonde and of course, Lee was right. He curses Barney in his mind as he takes in a deep breath and sighs it out. “Look, I’m not the best at this.” He grumbles out, hazel eyes lowering to his hands to at least think of something before an idea flashes in his mind. It always helped him when he was feeling down, maybe it could do the same for her? “So words won’t do it, I can understand that.” He starts, nodding along as he speaks as one of his hands moves down to where he keeps his knives. Pulling one out, he lifts it up for her to see casually before throwing it at the hanging skull decoration always used for target practice in their little group hangouts. He produces another knife and offers it over to her. “So why not let out a little aggression then, hm?” He shifts over a bit to give her some room once she takes the blade. “And I can offer a drink on top of that.” Maybe he wasn’t so bad at this after all.

So I’m not saying I’ll be updating Cade and Collen’s icons when I update the Luxor icons seasonally even if the boys aren’t being played atm but...
