85-2650 - I only go out to sketch or get the car fixed

Here is another sketch I did while waiting at Rapide (my first attempt to get out headlights fixed). After waiting for half an hour, they told me they don’t have the parts…the only compensation was that was just enough time to do this very quick sketch (I added the colour later, so I am posting both the black and white and the coloured version of this one). I am not planning to make a habit of this, but just by chance I am killing two birds with one sketch again, following the day 2 prompts of #Inktober2023 (spider) and of #UskQuezonCity #Sketchtober2023 (plant). It was my first time to visit the "Museo Ng Pampangulong Sasakyan" in Quezon City Memorial Circle last Saturday. I was there to attend the Urban Sketchers Kyusi exhibit opening and workshop. I did a rough sketch on site (but finished this at home, because the weather is so humid that day) The National Historical Commission of the Philippines was planning to open a museum to house the presidential cars of former Philippine Presidents as early as 2013. The NHCP secured a location for the museum when it signed a memorandum of agreement with the local government of Quezon City. The city provided at least 3,000 square meters (32,000 sq ft) of space for the museum. The land within the Quezon Memorial Circle where the museum was built was formerly occupied by basketball and volleyball courts which was moved to another part of the park at the NHCP's expense.
