minnie can tell when shes about the lay an egg, like a bowel movement. shes been laying eggs since she was abt 14-15. this is basically just how she menstruates

like a period she cannot hold it in, if she tries she risks breaking it inside her, which is a PROBLEM

her eggs are about the size of a chicken egg and come out rather easily bc of her shapeshifting powers (although there is still increased hormones around this time and some cramping)

she has laid quite a few eggs in her life and usually just breaks them or disposes of them in some way

all eggs she lays are unfertilized, bc a pregnancy wouldnt go through the eggs channels and would stop short and embed in the uterus to form a womb instead (for live birth)

what i really dont get is why (some vegans) are super puritanical abt how eating animals products is cruel bc of the industry and climate change and for some of them its inherently immoral but they wont focus basically at all on exploited people. i agree. a lot, most actually, of animal products are optained in horrible ways, those animals are treated truly badly, the transportation causes climate change, and the sheer number of livestock does too. ok. b u t....... its not as if the alternatives they provide are somehow cruelty free. in fact many vegan alternatives are made by slave labour halfway across the world, by empoverished, overworked, essentially enslaved poor women often of colour and their children?? wheres all the outrage over that??? frankly Most things we use food or not are made by slave labour - wheres the puritanical outrage over that?? and they often ignore too that their vegan options do damage to the damn planet as well. almond milk being a prime example, w almonds requiring massive amounts of water to grow in drought ridden california. or vegan leather - so what is more damned plastic who goes to shit and you need to buy more of better than real leather is? and again they are absolutely right about some things but for how puritanical some of them are they dont seem even 1/90th as puritanical about human slavery and the damages caused by their own products

There isn’t exact research or studies to back this up but I wonder if the reason we assume male = hunter and female = gatherer is because we see men as more likely to spill blood and women as more likely to produce it. I am referencing domestic violence, menstrual cycles, and forced cis gendered norms. In reality afab people were hunters almost as often as amab people and visa-versa for gatherers. Yet in modern times we were taught to believe that men crave blood and it is absolutely unnatural when women have any relation to it.

Afab people generally spill blood without hurting anyone (menstrual cycles) and clean it up and in our current culture that will still be seen as more perverse than a masculine partner causing them to spill blood unnaturally (physical violence).

Just read your tags about Shmi having Anakin asexually on a recent post and I also have considered an AU where Anakin just has a kid via parthogenesis (because I love fucking with sex/gender/biology on characters) but was anyone else aware that he could do that or are people freaking out harder than he is? (Skywalkers just do a mitosis occasionally with Forced poked mutations to make them all slightly different)

I think Shmi did tell him, but he half-forgot, or assumed that since his bits differed from hers, he couldn't do that himself.

If it's in reference to this post, then tbf Shmi herself might not know this is normal for her, and that Anakin was a one-off thing.
