Notably, he has done project collaborations with both @TrapstarLondon and @CRTZ.rtw for both of his mixtape releases ('Wild West' and '23'), which is a rare occurrence for a top-tier artist, as they're often tied to exclusive brand deals. Friday was an expensive day in the world of UK Streetwear 😅 Both @TrapstarLondon and @CRTZ.rtw dropped collections at 12pm and 9pm respectively. As usual, the comment sections screamed the typical "You always do this when I'm broke😫" and "already sold out😮‍💨" comments. I personally missed the Trapstar drop for the Corteiz one as Trapstar tends to drop way more frequently and I've already bought tons. Not to mention the only item I really wanted from Trapstar was the windbreaker - till I saw they cost £190 🚶🏾‍♂️✌🏾🤣 Wasn't bout to do that just to spend more later. 👑King of UK Rap ➕️ King of Grime👑 Growing up listening to these man and watching their progression shaped me in more ways than I could've imagined. Both came up in environments where there were daily reminders that death or prison is only one wrong move away. Both experienced heavy resistance while trying to move forward legitimately within the British music industry. Black History in the making 💐 When I see a link up like this, I see the potential for independently produced Hollywood-level Black cinema. Dame Dash has always been about ownership and independence, whether it was within the music industry or the film industry. And Nicky Slimting has displayed a similar mentality. Both men have a substantial list of film credits for roles including producing, directing, writing, and even acting. Nicky produced both "The Intent" movies and even co-directed "The Intent 2", along with @FemiOyeniran (another force to be reckoned with). Dame used to live in London and always appreciated our culture. It would be groundbreaking if these guys worked together, shared their knowledge and resources, and interlinked networks. Looks like the founders of @ManiereDeVoir and @CRTZ.RTW had a little twitter scuff 🥊 I personally don't like to see it, but I guess these things happen amongst competitive and driven individuals 🤷🏾‍♂️ It all started when Clint retweeted someone insinuating that MDV copied his design👀 @Clint419 has a long record of demonstrating loyalty to "the culture", avoiding big brand collaborations, rejecting high-level interviews and denouncing supposed gatekeepers within fashion. He prides himself on authenticity and is quick to point out when another brand is biting, as we've seen in the past when he put Boohoo Man on blast 😅 @ReeceWabara on the other hand has always seemed to be more money-driven and indifferent to "the culture". His response to Clint confirmed my assumptions regarding this. He couldn't care less about culture lol, certainly not #UKstreetculture anyway💩 The last slide shows a video Reece posted in January 2018 (months before Clint founded Corteiz). In the video Jay-Z speaks on avoiding what's trendy and pursuing long-term value instead. He makes references to Ralph Lauren and the Mona Lisa as examples of the latter. @BelieveAchieveLDN is actually doing bits 💫 The looks they've dropped over the past few years tell me this brand has all the potential to be recognised as a leading fashion house some day💯 It's the attention to quality and details, artfully balancing comfort with visual appeal that makes me say that. Their range of menswear is always clean and drippy, but it's the womenswear that really makes Believe and Achieve London stand out to me. (They also have a sick children's range btw.) 🔴 Red Light 🚥 Green Light 🟢 It's all games till someone gets hurt, right? 😅 Recently @HeadieOne released a diss track along with fellow OFB members @Abznoproblem17 and @Bandokaay_ofb. The song "Cant Be Us" is aimed towards N9 and @TionWayne specifically🎯 Like a true sportsman, Tion has now dropped a direct response with a feature from @Unknwnt9. Let's talk about the Lizzy movement! We can't really get far discussing the movement without identifying @SincereLizzy who launched Lizzy Clothing in 2011. Sincere is also co-founder of a merchandising company called Blanks Factory as well as the head of Young Entrepreneurs Records which 'Stay Flee Get Lizzy' is signed to. He's managed/co-managed a number of artists under the label including @Knucks_Music, @Meekz_Manny, and @Fredo. Like Fredo, Sincere is also part owner of @KickGameUK, as well as being the company's Creative Director. (Ngl my respect for Kick Game went through the roof when I learned this - JD Sports and Foot Asylum  tend to just rent the mandem as opposed to putting us in positions of power, but I'll touch on that another time...)
