Merman Suguru needs his arms to crawl. When unburdened, he's actually fairly mobile on land and can drag himself the 50 feet or so to Y/N's house with not that much trouble. He can stay out of water for at least a couple hours, and he has the mobility (and gracefulness) comparable to a seal on land.

Problem is, when he's carrying a bunch of treasures and seashells and maybe a fish as a snack over to Y/N. With his arms full, he can hardly move and is basically reduced to trying to push the heap of gifts forward with both arms while squirming and pushing with his tail behind him. He doesn't get very far.

Y/N hears the commotion and runs outside to see him exhausted and annoyed. He's not leaving any of his stuff, dammit! Y/N suggests he carry a backpack or something next time to keep his arms free.

Mer Suguru has no idea what a backpack is.

HI TELL ME ABOUT YOUR OC'S MACNCHEESE ILY

okay their names are Seftan and David, they're married, they met in their late 20's and they are disgustingly in love in that real domestic "i cant imagine going grocery shopping with anyone else" kinda way

Seftan and his little brother were born into a rich family, but Seftan was pretty much always the family disappointment bc he could never live up to his parents expectations of him and it only got worse when his brother was born, bc he was exactly the kind of child their parents wanted. Seftan's parents wanted kids who were seen and not heard, who were obedient and smart and could take over the family business.

Seftan was...not that. He was weird and twitchy, and talked about things that he couldntve known about, referenced events and conversations that hadnt happened, sometimes he would just space out for a minute or start sobbing uncontrollably. He struggled in school and was always weirdly certain about things and his parents just didnt know what to do with him (not that they cared enough to do anything, the main reason they kept him around was for appearances). He grew up knowing he wasnt what his parents wanted, so he never tried to be: he focused on the arts instead of "practical" subjects, he wore the clothes he wanted, listened to the music he wanted, he lied about after school studying to join the drama club as one of the costume designers/makers.

And when he was 18, he packed up everything and left, was the costume designer for a ren fair for a bit before he started doing tarot readings on the side and then eventually got given his own little space to do them. He opened his own little magic store when he was about 25 and its the very same shop he own in arson <3 OH HES ALSO CLAIRVOYANT i forgot to mention that, but basically thats why he was such a weird kid

David, on the other hand, grew up in a big family. He has a sister and about a dozen cousins that he's close with, and hes not supernaturally inclined in any way. He's a fucking terrible cook, has never managed to make anything edible beyond like. A sandwich. And its always been a huge joke in his family bc everyone else can cook just fine, hes just fucking cursed or some shit. He's a real steady, down to earth kinda guy, he's level headed and calm in crisis and hes also just got these major Dad Vibes, like he's fully the parent friend in any situation so when they adopted Nancy, Seftan would be like "how the fuck do teenagers work" and David's like "well, for one, you could show her how the shower works" He was one of those real smart but still athletic kids in high school, so his childhood room is like. full of framed certificates for excellency in his subjects but also rugby trophies and he didnt have a lot of real friends in high school bc he was quiet but by the time he was in year 12 he had a bunch of lowerclassmen who followed him around like ducklings.

Its funny bc his older sister is the family member that made all the teachers go "oh god not another one" but David was the one that made the teachers go "Ah! Another one!" so whenever their younger cousins got to high school it was like a toss-up between if theyd be a problem child or a quiet delight. As an adult he works a fly-in-fly-out job at the mines, with a 2 week on 2 week off roster and he and Seftan have this whole cute bedtime routine that they do together where they video call and Seftan goes through his skincare routine and tells him about all the readings he had to bullshit bc "negative readings dont get customers, hun, they only want to know if there's money in their future" while David either gets ready for work or gets ready for bed depending on whether hes got night shift or not.

And together theyre just. such a relationship goal for me, like theyre in their late 40's/early 50's and Seftan is always convinced they dont need the shopping list bc "How hard is it to remember that we need dish soap?" but David brings it anyway bc Seftan always forgets the fucking dish soap, and David is a shocking cook but Seftan eats every single thing he makes, and they do the dishes together and get sidetracked by the music and wind up dancing, soapy hands leaving wet patches on each others shirts and the dish water going cold before they remember what they were doing. They curl up on the couch and watch soap operas bc David loves the drama even if Seftan claims to find them boring but always ends up really into them, and when Nancy graduated they were the ones being ridiculously loud- all whistling and "THATS OUR GIRL" and giving her a hand-made glittery 'just graduated' sash for her to wear out to dinner.

actually, the songs 'Marbles' and 'Fair' by the amazing devil are such macncheese songs so i recommend giving them a listen :DD

ik ive said plenty abt your art before but hmmm,

definitely your lighting, the glittery look of it,

it's mostly noticeable in your sketches, but i think the way you work out how the body moves is rly dynamic, and that's where that sweet spot of realism and expressive art shines pops for me. expressions, ofc, but i find the way that u draw bodies rly fascinating and i enjoy the shapes!!

That. That post you made about comparing satoru & suguru to a puppy and a wolf, the way they pretend to be the opposite of what they are. You have awoken something inside of me and filled my brain with thoughts. I NEED to expand on it WALK WITY ME WALK WITH ME

Satoru and suguru who are both protective but in vastly different ways- satoru who I think easily uses his reputation as “the strongest” to make sure his partner doesn’t get anywhere even close to being in danger, who the public knows is strong, and that’s pretty much all he needs. Who’s tall, who’s got an intimidating stare, he’s outwardly terrifying when he wants to be. There’s no question to it, when he wants to, he could scare anyone away.

And then there’s suguru. He isn’t gojo by any means, and he’s not got quite the same loud, confident and sort of endearingly arrogant demeanour that satoru does- but what he does have is a sort of mysterious danger about him that is almost if not more scary than gojo and his status. He’s all gentle and calm, a true carer to his partner, and he’s the last person you would expect to have a bite. But he does. And the fact you can’t outwardly tell, the fact that he’s no bark and all bite as soon as someone decides to push their luck- I feel like that’s what makes him so much more intimidating if he needs to be. If you look past the usually laid back facade he puts on for the world, you could absolutely see a sort of feral, burning desire to keep people close to his heart safe. With gojo you KNOW what you’re fucking around with. And to fuck with gojo or someone he truly cares for, you’ve gotta be an idiot. But the fact that you’re pretty much walking into the unknown when you wanna mess with suguru- IM SO NORMAL ABOUT HIM I SWEAR…. (I’m not. I’m deeply in love with him SOMEONE SEDATE ME RIGHT NOW)

honestly u phrased this so well that i barely know what to add U GET THEM…. i think both of them are sooooo protective but sugu is without question the more terrifying one. ”no bark and all bite” is the PERFECT description; the bite is so unexpected and terrifying precisely because there’s no bark to hint at it. he hides his fangs so well that you forget he even has them.

gojo can be absolutely terrifying too, but like you said — that’s to be expected. everyone knows satoru has fangs. he never bothers to hide them. he’s always smiling, smiling, smiling — and when that smile drops you know you fucked up.

but suguru? suguru is so good at hiding his anger that you miss it if you aren’t careful. i’ve always thought that his smile is the key to really understanding him, and i think that in this case it’s his smile that reveals his anger. you can push him and push him and then suddenly his smile has no warmth to it left, and if you push after that then the fangs peek out. but his smile is so cold and such a glaring warning that barely anyone crosses that line, so it really is like walking into the unknown.

and anon!! ”a feral, burning desire to keep people close to his heart safe” is such a good way of putting it. the desire itself is so loving but he is just so devoted that it might as well be a wildfire. i think it eats him alive. i think that he’d rather set himself on fire than fail to keep you safe. genuinely.

anyway in conclusion i think suguru is the scarier one by far LMAO imagine pushing his buttons all day and then looking up and hes just :)…….. i would fall to my knees. i would fold immediately.

Lando: he's very vocal about mental health. He doesn't fear speaking about his struggle with anxiety and its effect on him. And he's such a cool funny guy who supports his friends immensely.

Charles: insanely talanted. Has stronger mental strength than all. Arguably the most beautiful man on the planet. If you wanna see some straight dudes go crazy over him, just hit reddit and enjoy😄

Carlos: my god does he have good hair!! Also he's a really good teammate to everyone who has teamed with him. And that accent!!!

Lewis: he's Lewis freakin' Hamilton! Aside from my feelings towards his fandom.. he's really a strong character and best voice on the grid. I pray that one day he drops his skin care routine cause WOW!

Max: he's a cookie! He watches lando's streams to support him. He was first to congratulate Alex on his new team. And every single teammate he had adores him. He's arguably the most friendly guy amongst the drivers. And he's the best in terms of driving. He's the cutest step dad ever. And he wears two Cartier bracelets, one that has another half with his mom, and one with its other half with his sister. And he's got two cats that he has two posters off hanging on his wall.

Nando: he's the funniest omg! He lives to troll f1 and fia and he genuinely just makes people enjoy the sport that little bit more. Also his driving abilities at 40 are really genius.
