Hasn't had a puff in 210 years...

So being a medical cannabis user and general enjoyer of the herb, I of course downloaded Cannabis Commonwealth for my new Fallout 4 game.

Now, Cannabis Commonwealth is a great mod. Lots of thought was put into it, and the growing mechanic is about as close to realistic as you can get with this game engine. Also, the plant models are gorgeous. And it’s funny as hell when I have Morgan light up a joint and she stands there smoking and literally refuses to do anything else until she’s done. Relatable, especially after 210 years…

That said, there’s only one flaw to the whole experience. One tiny thing that left me frustrated and going on wild goose chases for days. That is: I couldn’t figure out who in the hell in the entire Commonwealth was selling buds and seeds.

Now, for those who have installed this mod and are faced with the same question: Rachel, Dr. Forsythe’s assistant down in Vault 81, is the sole person that I have found with the hookup. Apparently, she’s been running a little side business behind everyone's back. She restocks every 48 hours like a standard merchant, and each time her sale list includes at least a few buds and types of seeds. 

I found this out completely by accident after checking every merchant, trader, doctor, and drug pusher I could think of and going on multiple wild-goose chases. Vault 75 has a giant chem stash according to a junkie’s note? Look there. Vault 95 is notorious for its huge stock of prewar chems? Let’s try there. The big losers in this whole exercise were the Gunners, which was hilarious.

I’m just imagining Gunners seeing a furious Minutemen General in full colors plowing her way through two of their bases, including their vault of origin and secondary base of operations, while they try to figure out which of their many, many crimes has actually brought her wrath down on them. 

Gunner in Vault 95: This is a general alert to Headquarters and to all tertiary bases and squads within comm range. We are under attack by the Minutemen General, her second in command, three robots, and a dog. Lock down all bases immediately and prepare for attack. 

Gunner in Vault 75: Mike, what the hell is going on over there? 

95: It’s Corporal Miller--oh fuck it, I’m probably gonna die anyway. It’s a complete shitstorm, Joey. She’s reprogrammed most of our robots to add to her force, our turrets are shut down and our recruits are dropping like flies. 

75: Oh God. What the hell caused this? Is it because of Quincy? Or our attacks on her settlements?

95: It could also be retaliation for when we kidnapped her buddy Jake and beat the shit out of him, or when we killed Old Paul, or when we interrogated The Ron including breaking bones and snatching his wig… 

75: …wow. We’ve, uh, done a lot to piss her off, haven’t we?

95: Yep. And there’s no telling which one was the last straw…

The Ink Demonth 2022 - Day 26 Appeal

It would be a nice twist plot if I hadn't given you spoilers earlier that already revealed that triplets aren't the only children of Bendy and Sammy.

In case you're wondering if Bendy is pissed off by that speech - then no, he isn't. He and Sammy planned to announce it to the Workshop. He's more angry about what Sammy will say later... And in general, the whole plot of this chapter is based on the fact that Bendy's second pregnancy is different from the previous one - Bendy has pains, fainting and generally more feminine behavior, which is a bit confusing for him and for everyone around him. So Sammy decided to find him whole-day-care. Hence the anger. In a moment, Bendy Jr will deliver his best line saying "I told you to kick everyone out of here when it was time". (Yes, Ben doesn't like ink people and is angry that they returned to the Workshop.)

I am very proud of this art. I drew it for a long time, worked on it for a long time - that's why I don't start colouring it anymore. Too many items. Maybe after finishing the Ink Demonth challenge, I will be tempted to do so.

It was only during the scan that I realized that the building you see on the left shouldn't have a turret - it's Bendy and Sammy's future house (the one they are moving to in The Move 3 chapter) and it doesn't have a second floor... But I left it here.

The plot of "Samdy Kids" takes place after Joey's death and the release of all the people from the Workshop. Bendy, together with his children and all the toons (Borises, members of the Butcher Gang), are forced to stay in the Workshop - which, however, doesn't turn out to be a bad thing, when Sammy returns to his family and begins to build New Workshop, an utopian underground country where everyone can live peacefully and happily.

Through the Hedge

When Joey was younger, he would cut through the hedge to meet Jessica and play in her Grandma's castle.

Of course it was not a real castle—New Jersey lacked such artifacts—but a mansion built for the owner of a drug manufacturer in the 1910s or 20s. It had battlements, turrets, and winding staircases. Some of its passages were so narrow that even a skinny teenager like Joey had to squeeze through them. Sometimes, he imagined he'd get stuck in its labyrinthine depths, unable to make his calls for help heard in the "house" portion where Jessica's grandma lived.

It was inconceivable that anyone of Joey and Jessica's parents' generation would buy such an extravagant building, and Joey assumed he too would never have the finances to indulge in such a monstrosity. But the virtue of the past is that it bestows gifts the present cannot afford.

Years later, Joey lost touch with Jessica. Their time together had been before the Internet, so were without lingering ties like AIM screen names or cell numbers that Joey could have used to talk to her (nor, upon reflection, did he know her last name). He thought sometimes of driving by the castle to see if it was still there, but he didn't know what street it was on, and though his mother probably remembered, he didn't feel like asking her.

A decades later still, Joey happened to see in a local paper left at a train station (since he never bought the local paper himself) that the castle---which the article called the "Johnson Estate"---would be torn down following damage from a hurricane. A township council member quoted in the article remarked that while the damage and loss of life from the hurricane had been tragic, a silver lining was that it would finally rid the county of that hideous relic of an overindulgent millionaire, a monument to nihilistic wealth that neglects the pitiful cries of its neighbors to spiral, aimlessly, from tower to basement, step by granite step.

Ohhhhh my god I’m genuinely so sick of people saying “the eng translations are so bad!!!!!” Yes theres issues but you can still. Fucking read the unofficial translations. no new art today but i found these old Sammy and Joey character sheets i made for a batim tabletop game some friends and I tried to set up like two years ago (sadly never got very far due to session scheduling issues but the bit we got to play sure was fun!)

both were going to be NPCs to help out the party - Sammy especially, seeing as he had by far the highest wisdom and health stats lmao

I’ll put the blank sheet and some more info about them under a cut

since nobody besides me had any experience with tabletop games like dnd (and honestly at the time i barely knew more than the basics of dnd either) i tried to set up the campaign as simplified as possible, with a minimal amount of stats and skills

the plot we came up with was mainly based on batim, but with some elements from portal, so some enemies were for example basically turret-searchers with an extra armor stat that first had to be whittled down to 0 to do damage to them
