So why Trippin’ Down the Trail? Well, in 2016 I attempted a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trsil starting in Late February. It was a snowy morning when The Hiker Hostel dropped a bunch of us very quiet and nervous backpackers about one mike north of the southern terminus of the AT. We all immediately turned south to make sure our start was at the official start.

I did my boy scout level honesty march south, got some pics of me looking cold at the official start of the AT and headed north. I almost immediately fell on my ass. That was the start of me falling on the AT. In truth, I’ve always been a klutz and falling and tripping is not that out of the ordinary for me when hiking in the woods
