My Magi LGBTQIA+ Headcanons

Ok, I've been working on this list since January. I still probably forgot some. I haven't worked out all my SnB ones yet and about half the Rens. It takes me an inordinate amount of time to sort them out. The only ones I'm really set on are the aspec ones because I'm biased (that's me, I'm AA and proud).

All that to say I may update this list or do a second part. Most likely won't be for a while since I'd want to to add a good chunk before I commit more to the wild.

Also, if you disagree, that's cool. My list though~ I love hearing other people's hcs but I am not up to arguing over mine. I know you guys are chill but to ensure we are on the same page :)

(It's a reasonably long list so all of it is under the read more)

Leila and Sahsa: You can't tell me the manga didn't start off with a lesbian love story with a little shit child playing mediator.

Judar: He very gay.

Aladdin: Genderfluid. I just like the idea of him having everyone constantly guessing as a child of chaos. They're also vying to take that title from Judar. I also can't place who the kid will be interested in but none of his friends are around the same age.

Titus: Trans gay guy.

Yunan: Doesn't really have much attachment to gender. He wouldn't really describe it as a lack of gender yet won't turn down using agender. Gender neutrois also works. Uses any pronouns.

Scheherazade: Cupiosexual. She yearns for being able to have sexual attraction but it just never has occurred for her. After a few decades she had accepted it about herself. The most common form of attraction she feels is alterous attraction (often explained as the space between romantic and platonic attraction).

Hakuryuu: He has messy chemistry with everyone. Bi disaster through and through.

Morgiana: Ace and questioning. She hasn't figured it all out yet but her friends are there to support her. (hi, yes, this is me projecting weeee)

Alibaba: Bisexual and clueless. So if you ask, he won't be able to answer but he also picked up on Sinbad's natural ability to flirt with anybody without trying too hard.

Hakuei: Lesbian

Koumei: Bisexual. I mentioned with the art I made on my own blog that I designed Koumei around the bi colors without realizing it. Nothing in my mind has changed to refute that so that's what I'm still going with. I do think it fits him.

Sphintus: Gay. I can see him being biromantic as well, but mostly into guys.

Sinbad: Pansexual and greyromantic. I won't go into it again more here. He's the best most clueless and suave person ever.

Jafar: Homoromantic demisexual. He likes guys but also without any strong connection to go off of he doesn't really register how people can be attractive.

Drakon: Omnisexual. There's attraction to guys, women, and enbies, all slightly different to each other. Preference for women.

Mystras: Also very gay.

Pisti: Aegoromantic. She gets invested in other people's (mainly her friends') love lives, and loves love stories, but whenever she tries getting into a relationship it never sits right for her. She won't mind an intimate relationship though knows it won't be romantic (after a bit of denial). After my brain came up with this I started projecting like hell and I don't give a fuck XD.

Mu: Mspec of some variety. I don't think he will be bothered by either bi or pan. Queer will work just as well. He will be down for anyone, you know? Going off queer history circles I've seen conversations and jokes that no one in Ancient Rome is monosexual. Mu feels like the person it will apply to the most. I'm going with it.

I joked to myself that the majority on Alma Toran are mspec or aspec. With longer lifespans for humans, a good handful are aspec because of the lack of incentive to have kids or families quickly. I would have posted about it last year during my Alma Toran posting in October and during ace week, but alas. I'm now posting it here lol.

Anyway, my Alma Toran hcs:

Solomon: Demisexual. Hasn't spent time thinking about it because he didn't expect to marry so young. It doesn't bother him though, not that he could explain his sexuality well.

Setta: Aroace. All ice mages are aroace because I said so. (except Judar, dude can have as many guys as he wants)

Isnan: Gay

Falan: Bi. Growing up she didn't have the chance to explore her sexuality. She won't deny it if asked though is perfectly happy in her relationship.

Ugo: Bi and aceflux.

Paimon: Also bi. She flirts too much with Ugo not to be (though I do know some lesbians and non-interested in men peeps who flirt with guys for shits and giggles without much feeling. Poison Ivy being the main lesbian I think of for this).

Arba: Non-sam aro. I tried to figure out her sexuality and I know it's not ace, but it's still too wrapped up in being aromantic. Non-sam is the closest I could figure.

Tess: Demiboy. The idea just burrowed into my head and hasn't left so I'm going with it. He is fine with he/they pronouns, yet the only people allowed to get away with calling him little boy are his parents.

That's all I got. For the moment, at least. If I try to figure everyone out I won't get around to finishing this till pride next year. If ever >>. As I said, I may update the list or post a second part.

when of if I started shipping it. uhhh. always thought it was neato especially after i read the manga but the real jh brainworms did not occur until i acquired magi liker friends

my thoughts: judar and hakuryuu fucking shit up arc is my favorite in the manga. for Reasons. "i know what the right thing is. i know i should put aside the hurt and anger i feel and move forwards towards a better world for everyone. i know i should do it but i cant im too fucking upset" is so vibes with me i love characters being rightfully resentful

What makes me happy about them: they get each other... the mutual devotion..... the certainty that the other will be with them.. domesticity postcanon.......

What makes me sad about them: YUU AND RENREN WILL NEVER SEE THEM HAPPY TOGETHER AND

I havent read SNB yet but the big lady with the blue braids? She's bi. And Sinbad's dad is Also bi. Do not argue with me on this.

And the Leoxses who is one of the 7 generals (I cant remember which one is spartos and what the other ones name is. I know they're brothers, at least.)? He's genderqueer & pan. He/him pronouns.

There are two topics about Rannu (Miximaxed Kirino with Jeanne) that are frequently discussed between fans... Many time as headcanons.

1. Does Kirino eyesight lowers while at this form?

He´s using glasses, after all. I know, maybe Hino and the chara designers thought “Hey, let´s turn a French heroine and our most popular character right now into a meganekko. Fans will love it!” Well, and we loved, alright... Nicely done, Level-5.

Anyway, some fans think his eyesight actually gets worse or he just uses it for fanservice representing one of Jeanne´s remarkable characteristics. A joke about the first one is that Kirino needs to get really near a person´s face to recognize them.

2. What if Kirino actually had his gender physically changed as he activated this form?

He´s the only one out of the eleven to miximax with a person/creature of the opposite gender. So I guess... if this weren´t a children´s anime, I bet he would turn into a girl for more fanservice, specially if it were a Shounen anime. Just physically, of course. I guess he would be a bit frustrated, since he likes being a boy in canon. Thankfully, Jeanne have a modest body, so I guess he wouldn´t have massive boobs... Kariya would either pick on him or... Admire his strong than ever beauty? Who knows...

The fact is... Many artists write and draw different versions of those. It´s very amusing. About the second one, please note I´m not making fun of the trans topic. It´s just a small analysis and my thoughts about a headcanon many artists have.

UPDATE: I´m an idiot. I forgot about Taiyou/Hakuryuu and Koumei. HOWEVER, according to the original story, Shoukatsu Koumei/Zhuge Liang is a man. If you disconsider IE universe, Kirino is indeed the only one. Anyway, I´m feeling terrible forgetting such a crucial detail... It´s one of the times I question myself about being a true fan or not ;-;

More fankids! Continuation of this and this posts.

Alibaba/Kougyoku

I decided to add two more AliKou kids (twins), because why the heck not. They always seemed like the type of people who’d like to have a huge family, so what’s stopping me.

They’re born betweenn Kousei and Kourei.

Kouka (Hónghuā) Saluja [ 紅花・サルージャ ] (m: Crimson Flower) She’s doing her best. :(

Kouhyo (Hóngbiāo) Saluja [ 紅飆・サルージャ ] (m: Crimson Whirlwind) He isn’t.

Both Kouka and Kouhyo are rather unimpressive among their siblings. As in, the only outstanding thing about them is that they’re twins, really. While Kouhyo doesn’t care, Kouka takes all the comments like this rather badly, which resulted in many self-worth issues. But how are you not supposed to feel like a failure among siblings like: Kouten who’s skilled with weapons, Ryoshou being charismatic, Kassim talented in art, Kousei being referred as one of the most promising magicians in their generation and even Kourei and his inborn talent with talismans? As much as their parents love them, they can’t shield them from all that is said behind their backs. Not to mention, just like Ryoshou, the twins have to deal with people questioning their parentage. While I’m still figuring out Kouka, I already know that Kouhyo is like Nie Huaisang from MDZS, as in, you don’t want him to be your enemy. Trust me.

Masrur/Sharrkan/Yamraiha

Going back to the trio! I’ve mentioned Masrur’s kids’ names, but I made them in picrew now! Also, I added another SharrYamu kid, because Sharr could use an heir...

Sadi Amun-Ra [ サディ・アメン・ラー ] (m: Happiness)

Mahir Amun-Ra [ マヒル・アメン・ラー ] (m: Skilled)

Ziya Amun-Ra [ ジヤ・アメン・ラー ] (m: Glow) (She’s mtf, btw)

Rais Amun-Ra [ ライス・アメン・ラー ] (m: Leader)

Danyal Amun-Ra [ ダニール・アメン・ラー ] (m: God is my judge)

Sphintus/Titus

I’m pretty sure I didn’t mention them before, but yeah. I thought, you know, most Scheherazades bodies were female, so 1) Titus’ trans, 2) he could get pregnant. And I though, sure, why not. Good angst isn’t bad. :3 But more seriously, with Titus’ body being a clone of a different one, and the disappearance of the magi system (yeah, I kept that), he’s constitution’s pretty weak, so it wasn’t the best idea, but he was stubborn, and Sphintus eventually agreed. Well. Both Titus and the kid are still alive. :V

Elpis Carmen [ エルピス・カーメン ] (Hope) His body’s also pretty weak.

Olba/Toto

Quick explanation in advance! I have that hc that Alibaba at some point asked Olba and the other four pirates if they wanted to share his surname. That being said, I might or might not be working on the Final Arc Rewrite...

Isai Saluja [ いさい・サルージャ ] (Gift) I have just realized, that he’s basically Wen Ning. So,,,

Vero Saluja [ ベロ・サルージャ ] (True) Ah, yes. The Pirate Phase kid. His eye is alright, he just want to look more piratey. I’ve been talking with Zed (ofc) about these kids, and 1) Vero definitely changes which eye he covers, 2) he definitely had a couple of moments like “You’re not Vero! The eyepatch is on the wrong side!” and he either answered by changing eyepatch’s place, or agreed and said he’s Vero’s twin brother, Verus.

Sani Saluja [ サニ・サルージャ ] (Brilliant)

Koumei/Boukyu*

I know I’ve already talked about them in another post, but I decided to put them here, too. Also, I’ve finally named Koumei’s wife! Boukyu (Mèngjí) Ren [ 練梦及 ] (To Reach Dreams) I enjoy making these Chinese names way too much. Also, I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but Boukyu is a former slave. Ironic.

Koukei (Hóngxīn) Ren [ 練紅馨 ] (Crimson Fragrant)

Kouryuu (Hónglóng) Ren [ 練紅龍 ] (Crimson Dragon)

Meichi (Mínglí) Ren [ 練明离 ] (Elegant Light) With Kouhyu, Meichi creates the Twin Masterminds of Kou.

There’s so much more characters to create, gah. Spartos’ kids (and his wife, I guess), that half-Imuchakk dude who’ll end up with Nadra, possibly more of Masrur’s kids, though I don’t know about it yet, the kids of other characters...

I still kind of wanted to mention one guy, whose name I’ve already created. He and Olba are Alibaba’d most trusted confidants, and I really suck at explaining dude’s story, so I’ll just leave it for one of the one-shots that I intend to write at some point.

Hakuren bought it, for almost a year he legit believed that Koumei was born with a terrible condition that left him bed-ridden on most days

Intersex Aladdin is good, yes!! When he’s born, Ugo knows there’s the option of using magic to ‘fix’ him but he decides to let Aladdin grow up and decide for himself who he wants to be, and wants to support him whatever he chooses...!

A lot of people have headcanons for different sexualities, some even go into trans headcanons, but I’d love to see even more diversity in fanfiction than that, you know ??
