What a roadtrip🌄 (from 2023)

According to Procreate's statistics, this took me about 25 hours to make :D 25 hours of pain and suffering (not really though, I had fun while working on it despite the pain. It was a fun challenge because I don't do detailed backgrounds very often). I got the idea from a TikTok where some couple went on a date and they had blankets and fairy lights on their car's trunk, as well as a laptop and snacks, and it looked cute and comfy so I decided I wanted to draw something like it. I feel like the car isn't exactly the kind of car the Dteam would actually drive, at least based on the cars we've seen them drive, but I never draw cars so I had to find a perfect photo for reference and that's why I couldn't get super picky about the type. Also I wanted to make the car more regular because it felt like it would fit the vibe better. The lighting is probably most definitely not accurate but we can all close our eyes and pretend to not see it

The moment I laid eyes on @madfantasy 's Severus I thought "that's him".

Inevitably, after a lot of indecision and pondering if I should sort out my priorities instead, I gave myself a little treat and ordered my very first art comission 🥰

What I wanted was for the artwork to convey the feeling of home.

Not a place, but a person.

Absolute calmness, quietude and safety.

In this artwork, Severus is calm, his mind is tranquil, and he is comforting as much as he is being comforted.💚

I have no words to express how Mani is such a professional and kind-hearted artist. I have sent (probably too many) guidelines, body position references, art references and written requests (I was a nightmare). And you know what? Every single one of them were attended and merged into something that translates into pure tenderness.
