as someone who didn't necessarily like tonysopranobignaturals:

Criticizing someone in good faith is one thing and cyberbullying/harassment is another, and what happened here is far closer to the latter than to the former.

It's a shame a lot of people still haven't learned that being cruel on the internet has tangible consequences.

I think another thing that really annoys me on the whole sivi thing is that it points to a pattern I've been seeing lately that I'm really tired of.

I cannot believe this site was at one point peak leftism/sjw/progression or whatever you want to call it with the amount of harassment we have today. Look at all the TERFs & transphobes we have right now. I really hope it's not lost on anyone how many trans people were on that "most annoying Tumblr users" poll. That and the resurface of so many misogynistic ass posts from people you'd think would know better being queer themselves, the hate some of y'all have for atheists and secularity, constant infighting about the dumbest queer shit, the ableism, racism etc.

It's one thing when you go to some bigot's corner where they're just screaming at a wall with their hate like the human pet guy and another when these sentiments above are shared & liked by so many here and you guys don't even realise it because it's worded liberally enough or in a progressive way or because you find someone "weird" or "annoying" and you won't even examine why you feel that way and think it's okay to collectively harass them and bully them off.

So many of you are really no better than middle school bullies.

Yes, I made a side blog specifically for this because I don't want harassment. Sivi if you're reading this and my blog makes you paranoid even more, I sincerely apologize. If you follow tonysopranobignaturals, you'll know that its run by a blogger named sivi, who posts about her mental health, and her world, that she spectates. She has both her fans and those that dislike her, as all popular bloggers do. This is basic level knowledge. I don't know all of the details, but from what i've observed, someone made a blog specifically about which user on the site was the worst, and sivi got the most votes. someone has also made a blog impersonating her, taking the "s" out of the url. tonysopranobignatural IS NOT SIVI. IT IS AN IMPERSONATOR. you'll find that sivi has declared that she is not coming back to the website, as both incidents have been extremely taxing on her mental health, and they have given her extreme paranoia. i may be crossing a line here, but might I suggest that we just.. let her go? I don't mean that in a harsh or criticizing way. I mean that spamming her inbox with "COME BACK WE MISS YOU" might not work, or even cause things to be worse. we can miss her. lf course it would be lovely if she came back, but this is affecting her health. and i would not recommend choosing tumblr over your health. let sivi rest and do whats best for herself. if she comes back, we'll cheer and watch seal videos in her honor. if she doesn't, we will respect that decision, and at least be glad that she stepped away from something that was causing her harm. let her rest.

tonysopranobignaturals deactivated, i know she didn't know me at all but i always looked forward to her posts, especially when she talked about mental health. i really relate to some of her posts and opinions and it meant a lot to feel like at least one more person in the world saw things the way i did. and also, she was super funny ily. i hope you come back, Sivi, and i hope that the person targeting you stops.

still miss sivi's blog... weren't mutuals or anything but she was one of my fave blogs even if we didn't agree on every single thing </3 her world was so interesting (she almost always answered the asks i sent about it, too <3) and i loved what she had to say about mental health & world politics, her posts on that stuff were always so well thought out. also she was hilarious, we truly lost an S-tier girlblogger. i hope she comes back, but if she doesn't, i hope her absence from tumblr is good for her <3 real sickopaths understand
