Totally normal political party 💀💀💀
It’s funny until you think about how Republicans enjoy intentionally breaking government — this is practically a de facto government shutdown, or soon will be.

More chaos undoubtedly inspired by Trump.

Tom Emmer is a good add to your political Tuesday posts. He's been in the headlines as of the last few days running then quitting the run for Speaker.
All I care about is the fact that he's built like a total hard fuck top, he's got a devilish look about him, and he is consistently bulging out. On his IG, he's got like 6 pics of his cock outline in plain sight. No shirtless pics I can find yet.

It’s alleged that Trump’s stooges are deliberately blocking everything to create chaos and shut down government in order to Biden look bad.

Republican House members met Monday night to try to agree on a Speaker. The only progress they made was that one of the nine candidates decided to drop out.
Of the eight remaining candidates, only two voted to certify the 2020 presidential election. And one of those two, Tom Emmer, made comments in November of 2020 casting doubt on the validity of the election. So that leaves just Austin Scott (R-GA-08) as the only pro-democracy candidate.
One candidate, Pete Sessions (R-TX-17), is known as "Streakin' Pete" for his streaking escapades in the 1970s. That takes Gym Jordan's lack of a jacket several steps further.
Republicans will meet again on Tuesday morning to resume their dysfunctional bickering.
Tuesday marks exactly three weeks since Kevin McCarthy was ousted.
BONUS TRACK! A few days ago Rex Huppke at USA Today wrote a parody of how a job post for House Speaker might appear at LinkedIn.

That's What She Said
MTG was interviewed on Fox News by Larry Kudlow. She explained why she was pleased that Tom Emmer had dropped out of the race for Speaker:
"His voting record, he voted against President Trump's transgender ban in the military. He voted for the Democrats’ gay marriage bill that allows churches to be sued if they don't support gay marriages. He also, you know, once had supported the voting rights, the national voting movement that was completely against what we stand for [sic] so that we can't have that for a speaker of the House." (x)
And there you have it--voting rights are anathema to the right-wing Republicans in the House.

Republican Tom Emmer has dropped out of the race to become Speaker of the US House of Representatives, only hours after being nominated.
He is the third nominee to fail to secure enough support from his own party members to lead the chamber.
Mr Emmer, from Minnesota, emerged as the party's pick in a series of secret internal ballots earlier on Tuesday.
But more than 20 Republican representatives - and Donald Trump - said that they wouldn't support him.
So now they're dropping out before they can even GET to a vote?

As former President Donald Trump attacked him, some progressives argued that "Democrats should only support a speaker that would disempower the Freedom Caucus through a power-sharing agreement."
