Joe Lieberman

Joseph Isadore Lieberman (/ˈliːbərmən/; February 24, 1942 – March 27, 2024; aged 82) was an American politician and lawyer who served as a United States senator from Connecticut from 1989 to 2013. A former member of the Democratic Party, he was its nominee for vice president of the United States in the 2000 U.S. presidential election. During his final term in office, he was officially listed as an independent Democrat and caucused with and chaired committees for the Democratic Party.

An observant Jew, Lieberman described himself as an independent, who tended to side with conservatives on foreign policy and liberals on domestic policy. That's nice and all, but I'm more interest in his close friendship with fellow senators, John McCain and Lindsey Graham. So close, they were dubbed the “three amigos” to some. Even traveling and vacationing together.

Sure their friendship is probably platonic, but I prefer the sordid version in my head where Lieberman and McCain used Graham regularly as a cock sock.

On March 27, 2024, Lieberman died at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, aged 82, from injuries that he sustained in a fall at his home in the Bronx. He is survived by his second wife; their daughter, his son and daughter from his first marriage; and his stepson from his second.

Joe Paterno

Joseph Vincent Paterno (December 21, 1926 – January 22, 2012; aged 85), sometimes referred to as JoePa, was an American college football player, athletic director, and coach. He was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions from 1966 to 2011. With 409 victories, Paterno is the most victorious coach in NCAA FBS history. His career ended with his dismissal from the team on November 9, 2011, as a result of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal. He died 74 days later, of complications from lung cancer.
