Ian Blackford (born 14 May 1961-) is a Scottish politician who served as Leader of the Scottish National Party (SNP) in the House of Commons from 2017 to 2022. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ross, Skye and Lochaber since 2015. Originally from Edinburgh, he previously worked as an investment banker and has been involved in various business ventures since. He was the national treasurer of the SNP from 1999 to 2000.

There's just something about this guy that has me excusing myself to go to the bathroom for a quick release. Obviously, the English accent is a big factor as well as his chubby frame. But I think what got me most of all was Blackford in a kilt. What? I love a man in a kilt.

Oh snap. Recently, he ‘dumped’ his wife after almost 24 years together just weeks after the pair returned from a trip to France, where they were hoping to buy a holiday home. He spent £300 from their joint bank account on sexy lingerie and jewelry for his new girlfriend who he stole from her husband. Now that's straight pimpin. And I love that. What? Everyone loves a bad boy.

Ian Blackpudding-Supper was showing off the benefits of his recent surgery.  His irony-bypass seemed to allow him to attack the Labour Party’s UK leader calling Brexit  “the elephant in the room…”!

A Selection of SNP ‘Brexits’ - Note: not all were in the room…!  Not because the House Chamber was not big enough but because one was back in Scotland awaiting sentencing.

No room for another Polite parliamentarians tried to maintain stoic countenances but the collective unceasing shift from the SNP bench caused such a shuddering that other parties’ MP’s were caught off guard.

The resulting shock caused the Commons to briefly pause, while crockery was heard to fall off the shelves in the Lords’ Terrace kitchens.

On December 1st 1989 Billy Lyall passed away.

Hailing from Edinburgh’s Tollcross area, Lyall was an early member of the Bay City Rollers but left before they hit the big time to form his own group with another former Roller, David Paton, Stuart Tosh joined them as drummer.

The band recorded several demos during 1972 and 1974. They were signed to a management contract with Nick Heath and Tim Heath, sons of British bandleader Ted Heath, and John Cavanagh. In due course they signed to a worldwide recording deal with EMI Records. After the recording of their debut album, From the Album of the Same Name, guitarist Ian Bairnson (who had played on the album as a session musician) joined the band permanently.Their first the first hit single for the group was Magic, written by Lyall and Paton in 74, reaching number 11 here, and was number one in Canada and got to number 5 in the US Billboard Hot 100. Paton says he got the inspiration for the song when waking up at 6 am and watching the sun rising from his home on Edinburgh’s Blackford Hills.

Pilot’s biggest hit on this side of the Atlantic was January, reaching number one on 1 February 1975, staying there for three weeks, and was at the top of the Australian charts for eight weeks. The song was also the first one played on Edinburgh’s first independent radio station, Radio Forth, by then DJ Steve Hamilton, who remembers him then?

Pilot drifted apart the various members all seen success in other projects, Lyall most notably was the keyboard player for the pop group Dollar between 1978 and 1982.

Billy Lyall died of AIDS-related causes in 1989, aged 36. Bay City Rollers’ manager the odious Tam Paton later said that Lyall was gay. It’s sad to think of all those lost to AIDS and  world back then that didn’t care, most due their because of their attitudes to the gay community.
