Another divergence from the original canon I just noticed in episode 13 — with this shot, there’s no question in the viewer’s mind that the Blue Knight is not Ryou or Keiichiro.

In the OG anime and in the manga, the viewer is left to question this for a beat as Ichigo scrambles to try to identify the Blue Knight’s identity after this battle.

Makes me wonder if TMMN wants to make it more explicit to the audience from the get-go that the Blue Knight is Masaya, even if Ichigo still struggles to figure it out. They’re doing something similar with Ichigo’s identity for TMMN — it’s pretty obvious at this point that Masaya knows Ichigo is a Mew, even if Ichigo can’t see it.

Ichigo protecting Deep Blue was always my favorite thing in this early arc To her its still Aoyama no matter what form he takes, the revelation affect her so much

I really hope we get to see that animated, its so unusal to see a mahou shoujo leader attack her companions because of a traumatic shock

And when she regains her senses she regrets what she’s done, needing Minto to re-assure her of her goal and mission

TMMN S2 is good so far but I’m kinda conflicted on Mint’s arc. I guess it’s more realistic/modern to have it be her wanting to be part of her family’s business & struggling to have a place in and have her family take her seriously but I liked in the manga side story how she loved ballet and felt pressured to be the smart perfect daughter

Next episode is about Bu-Ling and her mother and it’s probably gonna hurt hnn. I hope all the mews get character arc episodes, I’d love one about Zakuro and her family and backstory
