Ordered my proof copy last night. I must say... This is so much easier with a step by step system. No guesswork. No stress. I put a check mark on my checklist and keep it moving. Without the checklist, I'd be all over the place. Consider this. After getting the Princess to school, I Create (write articles/book content and design courses). Then, I transition into Close (set appointments and make offers). The afternoon is for Connecting (messaging in dm's and thru text). I still work second shift which occupies my evening. Most nights I close the restaurant. I won't get home until after 11. Before bed, I'm online working on my doctorate. I have a forum post, reading ga, or an assignment due almost every evening. All this and I still publish books. I have four more releasing this year. And, I owe it to my 10-step system that guides me thru the process from idea to promotion. I won't say it's easy. Life isn't supposed to be easy all the time. It's worth every bit of the journey. I can't wait to see my authors' books released. Most have to carve time o to their day to get their books completed. A client last night told me she loves how simple I make it for her. She's already written most of her book. She hadn't prepared herself for the endgame. She didn't know better. Not only does she have a plan for after her book is published but she knows how to do it over and over as she learns my system. I'll never forget the day I got my first paying coaching client... I'd spent about an hour talking to him about his business and his goals. He'd purchased a copy of my book, Unlimited Potential, and we were going thru some ideas from the book. Before leaving the Panera Bread, I told him I'd be in touch soon to follow up. About 30 minutes later, I'm sitting in a corner booth at Charleston with two friends. We're waiting for our food to be prepared and served to us. I mention how well the previous meeting had gone. My friend asks me about transitioning to paying clients. My system apparently worked for other people. After hemming and hawing for a bit, he opens his journal and starts going over numbers. This is how great masterminds work BTW. Then he says it... "Do you think he'd pay you?" I say: "I think so." He says: "Why don't you text him and ask him?" I pull out my phone and send this text: "If I gave you deep discount of say 80% off my services, would you be willing to get coaching from me at $25 an hour for one session a month?" His response: "Let's do it." Granted, it wasn't that large of an amount but it was huge for me... Someone other than my friends and family believed in me and was willing to pay me because of that belief. That's the thing to do. Stop doubting your prospects belief in your offer. Make the ask! As I did in this situation, my book was the beginning of instilling a stronger belief in me. Plus, it began building know, like, and trust factor.
