3. Show us one of your favorite pieces by someone else. everything meghna has ever written !!! but actually yesterday i reread @cringeycal's creek walk small talk series and was clobbered by the reality of how much i love their writing. it's crazy how much i love it. they're the kind of writer i want to be, but can never be, and so i'm glad that they exist to be that writer, so that i don't have to be it. does that make sense? i don't know. i just love them and i love their writing and i love creek boy calum
12. What part of the process of creating brings you the most strife? ohoho, your first mistake is assuming there is only one part of the process that brings me strife, ma cherie. there are many parts of the creative process that kick my ass! first one coming to mind is Not Knowing What Happens Next in a story. getting stuck with an idea you really like because you don't functionally know how the story moves forward is the worst feeling ever it's literally like trying to leap over a chasm and if you fail you DIE
22. What does a successful piece look like to you? Is it a feeling? a monetary or feedback level? etc? uhmmmmm ill be the first to admit i always feel a work is more successful if it gets more engagement like if people (particularly friends) are reading it and commenting or letting me know their thoughts or whatever. in the first week or so after i post anything that is how i tend to measure success of a work, but after that week ish passes, then i just measure its success by how much i enjoy rereading it, and usually i don't post something unless i enjoy it enough to read it a lot. so by that metric, all my works are successes!! but it's definitely an extra bonus marker of success if lots of people are also reading and enjoying it.
