How is the progress going, if you dont mind me asking
pretty good, surprisingly. the hiatus was really needed cause social media was draining me like crazy. i’m halfway through chapter two already and i’ll probably do a re-read when i’m finished cause there are a lot of points which need to come across clearly + some foreshadowing for future chapters.
my cousin ended up spilling orange juice on my keyboard so i needed to order a replacement and it’s gonna come on the 30th. in the meantime, i’m just making some edits and writing down plot points in my notepad whenever inspiration strikes. y’all won’t have to wait too long for an update, rest assured.

I’m picking ransoms, for all the couples 💁🏼‍♀️
1, 7, 17, 27
(Clearly I’m feeling the 7s lol)
Hey love! Thanks so much for sending these! From this list.
1 - Describe their first date.
Oofh! You know, I really have to give this some thought. I had an "official" first date fic for Ethan & Casey when they were still a pairing, but I never did one for any of my others, sad right?
Tobias & Casey (OH) will forever argue over what their first date was. He would say it was the night they hung out with her friends at Donahue's or when he took her to a late-night bar after her shift, even though that one led to the reason they split before the attack. Casey would say it was their first "date" after they admitted their feelings for each other (not written yet). Of course, it could be argued that it was one of the many times Tobias took her out when she was still coping with the aftermath of the attack. For example, this trip to a Cambridge bookstore - involving a "friendly kiss", or the hometown Christmas weekend getaway he took her on, or their trip to an alpaca farm on Valentine's Day.
Sure, they weren't together yet on those dates, but they were in love with each other - that counts, right? It depends on who you ask! 😉
I think Ethan & Kaycee (OH) will find themselves in a similar predicament. After all, several moments in canon could be considered their first data, such as the trip to the coffee shop or the opera (that's my vote). Like T&C, these two were already head over heels in love by the time they were official - so it's difficult to say.
But I def feel like they need an official first date fic... don't you?
For Eli & Zoe (WTD) in WTD, the fic is in my WIPS, but yet again - the feelings were already there (and they had already done the deed) before they were official. But once they were, Eli remembered his Mom talking about how special her first date with his father was, and he knew he wanted to do something special for Zoe. In a post-apocalyptic world (not unlike NYC yesterday lol), options were limited.
I think he packed a picnic lunch, got the motorcycle, and took Zoe for a lovely little picnic. They talked for hours, skinny-dipped in the lake, and played silly games that she taught him (like "Mother May I?"). Yeah, I'll finish writing it lol
For Trystan & Carolina (CoP)- too new, I'm not sure. Though, I'm sure once they are together he will want a BIG FANCY night to spoil her. She'll enjoy it, but she's a much simpler woman. She'll tell him he's getting a date night she plans, and that will mean going to a Yankee game, tailgating, and eating hotdogs. 🌭
Ethan & Eva (OH/TC World) are going to be a frenemies-to-lovers story. It will be fun. Their first date will be almost on a dare, but it will be more romantic than either anticipated.
7 - How often do they say “I love you”?
Tobias & Casey: All the freaking time. This is a couple that is not shy about PDA, stealing kisses and ILYs every single chance they can.
Ethan & Kaycee: Every morning, every night before going to bet, several more times during the day.
Eli & Zoe: They say it fairly frequently. Zoe will say it privately & publicly, Eli limits it to privately at first, but that doesn't last too long.
Trystan & Carolina: I'm sure they'll say it every night and text it during the day. But I can see these two having a code for ILY more than the words. Not sure what it will be yet, but it will be something along the lines of "Ditto" from Ghost.
Eli & Eva: At least daily, but they're more likely to do so in private. In public, they usually stick to busting each other's chops. lol
17 - How well do they communicate? Are they open with their feelings/thoughts or more reserved? Why?
Tobias & Casey: They had growing pains with this early in their relationship. Times when each was afraid to admit how they felt, admit things they were afraid of, etc. And it caused some issues. Once they talked through it, these two are how to communicate as a couple masterclass, which is why I think they're such a team. They truly operate as a unit, and this is why.
Ethan & Kaycee: I know you'll be shocked, but Ethan is more reserved at first. Kaycee is the opposite. She can and will talk to him about anything. She slowly gets him out of his shell, and once she does, she jokes that she wishes she could push him back in at times because he won't shut up.
Eli & Zoe: Believe it or not, they're very open about their feelings and talk all the time. Eli being so reclusive was just a reaction to the trauma he endured. It wasn't who he originally was as a person. Still, he stays closed off to all except those closest to him, but none is closer than Zoe, and he's very open with her.
Trystan & Carolina and Ethan & Eva: These two couples are still in development, so it's not as easy to say with confidence just yet. But I can see Trystan & Carolina not always being the best at communicating, and it can cause issues at times. They'll work on it, though. Ethan & Eva will have good communication, but they won't be the type of couple who always wants to talk about feelings. However, when they need to, they will do it with ease.
27 - How do they say “I love you” non-verbally?
Tobias & Casey: 😏😏😏 I mean... lol. Yes, physical affection is big to them. They're both very sexual beings, and they are so into each other that these two are always ready to combust. But what they have is so much more than that. They look out for each other, take care of one another, do their best to be the partner the other needs.
Ethan & Kaycee: These two are workaholics, even when they know it isn't necessarily healthy for them. So they push each other to take it easy. They find little ways to bring each other levity through the work day... favorite coffee, ensuring the other rests, a shoulder rub, 😏😏😏. They try to make each other's life easier because they know the pressure each has.
Eli & Zoe: Their fierce loyalty to one another is one way. When Zoe is the leader of Olympus, Eli will not tolerate seeing her disrespected, and he will always present a united front w/ her, even if they disagree in private. His unwavering faith in her helps her become her best self. Zoe is fiercely protective of Eli. She knows they've all been through so much, but his story is particularly harsh. She does all she can to assure he feels loved and as safe as they can feel.
Trystan & Carolina and Ethan & Eva: I'm still figuring that out for these two new pairings.
Thanks so much for these asks, Sara! xo 💖💖

Syscourse Code- Updated
This post has been edited to better match our current stances on syscourse.
You can see the card for yourself here. We will not be using just the emojis/text as we want to be thorough, however we plan to have it at the end. This is being done to show what our general view is as a collective, there is a chance some of us will differ slightly as well.
Questions & Answers
Do you believe in endogenic plurality? (NU)
Yes, we believe there are ways for people to experience plurality in a way not tied to DID/OSDD-1. However we do not believe that non-disordered plurality is comparable or similar to disordered plurality as the the way it is formed for DID/OSDD-1 would make it incredibly differentiated. There are similarities by themselves but broadly the whole is too much of a different experience to be called the same things. Some pw DID/OSDD-1 are now functionally a singlet, some (including all alters) see themselves as a whole person with no stipulations.
Having a system because your brain never formed a solidified identity for example is leagues different than a spiritual based system. (DID and spiritual based systems are mutually exclusive as of the DSM-5). DID/OSDD-1 is caused by severe dissociation in childhood leading to separation of states of oneself. The way it emerges impacts its functionality, structure, and impact on someone's life.
This would be very different than an non-disordered system formed by religiosity for example as that would be a practiced concentration and not include that missed stage or any dissociative barriers or trauma tied heavily to the origins of the system.
Opinion on tulpas? (TC)
We believe that conceptually and functionally they are valid. Whether they be formed for religious purposes, meditation, or because of someone just needing them or seeing them as helpful to have in their life, does not change the validity of their existence or experiences. However the term itself is bad to use due to its origins, it is cultural appropriation and furthermore it is cherry picking religious practices and can be seen as a mockery by many. The only counter we have seen to this is a reddit AMA with only one person speaking on how they see western tulpamancy. People consistently pointing to that is a form of tokenization.
We are white so it is not our place to do anything but listen to the voices of those affected (SE Asian people, more specifically Tibetan people) who have made it clear that it is indeed cultural appropriation.
Do you think endos just don't remember their trauma? (OTR)
We do believe there are genuine endogenic systems, however we also believe enough of them to matter are actually traumagenic but do not realize it. This is not because of the way endogenic systems are, rather it is a consequence of the typical DID/OSDD-1 symptoms of denial and amnesia. We were once an "endo" system (in quotations because even though they are valid, in this context it is about us thinking we were not traumagenic when younger yet we are factually not endogenic). and were under the impression we had no trauma. We have sadly learned we have a boatload of trauma and some of the more dark shit. Our brain just refused to let us consider it until we got away from daily trauma from our living situation.
Often it is pushed that to have trauma something absolutely horrendous must have happened to you. Trauma however, is less about the event and more about the response to the event. What traumatizes one person will not traumatize another. Everyone has a different threshold and it can change depending on circumstances. Emotional neglect alone can be enough to be deeply traumatizing to some people, and that is often forgotten. The same can be true for being bullied or having health issues as kid.
We think it is beneficial to all people regardless to make information about trauma more well known. This is for the benefit of not only disordered traumagenic systems but also; endogenic systems, singlets, people with trauma, people with loved ones who have trauma, non-disordered traumagenic systems, etc. This is something that matters to all people. (The window for specifically DID to develop is before 9 if we remember correctly, traumas after that still matter, trauma does not become "worse" just because you have DID/OSDD-1 it just means you reacted differently).
Opinion on shared spaces? (NSP)
Shared spaces could be useful and we personally do not mind talking to other systems regardless of origins. We also believe it may be beneficial to do so. In one server we are in there are many non-disordered plurals. They can be nice to talk to and it is always interesting to learn about a new perspective. (Especially for us considering we struggle to conceptualize anything we ourselves do not experience.) Separate spaces are also fine to have, in addition to shared spaces. It should never be "you must have only shared spaces" or "you must have only separate spaces". We all face different challenges. A server on discord talking about dormancies, fusions, and integration in a healthy way is unnecessary for non-disordered systems and may get off-track. A server for endogenics dealing with the kind of lateral/semi-lateral? aggression of being fakeclaimed and treated poorly by exclusionists should be allowed to have only endogenics.
Do you think endogenic plurality is comparable to transX? (TXA)
No and we don't support transX, to compare the two goes against many of our fundamental values. TransX is not and never will be valid. It is based off of intersectional bigotry. Transplural also is not a necessary term (not to be confused with systems that are formed via experiences of being trans, these are people claiming they are "transitioning" into being plural), as there are other terms for created systems. Additionally median systems are NOT transitioning, they are fine as is. If they form more strongly? Good for them. If they stay the same? Also good for them.
Do you think you can have DID/OSDD/UDD without trauma? (DTNO)
No, and you're a fool if you think otherwise. This is backed by research, this is the same as asking "do you think the earth is flat?". This is just objective reality. If you feel like what you experience wasn't trauma because it "wasn't that bad" and you have DID/OSDD/UDD then you are just struggling with the societal expectations of what THEY want to consider trauma. You do not need to adhere to such things.
Do you think introjects from other cultures should be able to use that culture's names if they aren't bodily part of it (eg. Japanese introject using Japanese names, while in a white body) (CNN)
No. We do have an introject who chose his own name specifically to not use the Japanese one (referring to Vale, won't say his source because he doesn't want to drop it). If it would be weird for a singlet to use if they had your body, its weird for anyone who shares/inhabits your body to use.
Opinion on researched self diagnosis? (SDXI)
We believe self diagnosis is valid but it should be well researched so you can be more sure of what it is. Diagnosis can be tricky, it should only matter if it is barring you from treatment to not be diagnosed.
Sysmed as a term (SMNU)
We understand that its usage is not meant to be transphobic. However due to our traumas and the way we see it used we do not feel comfortable or safe around those who use this term to describe others. We see it as a downplaying of the harm transmeds do.
Traumascum as a term? (TSA)
If you use this term we hate you as a person and you are genuinely an ableist. You deserve to step on a lego.
Endogenic systems using the term 'system' (ESY)
Plural just doesn't seem to function well enough as the term system in many cases, as such it makes sense to use it. However the discriminator/distinguisher of "endogenic" should be used at times to make things more clear. Alternative terms could be used but shouldn't be forced.
Endogenic systems using the term 'alter' (ESO)
Alter implies an altered state of consciousness. Additionally it is a recognized medical term, therefore systems that are not DID/OSDD/UDD should not be using it. We understand those who do but personally believe it makes more sense for endos to call them headmates rather than alters. (Or something else). Mixed origin systems that also have a CDD can use it however. We just see it as important to keep these two specific concepts separate. (we still won't bash ppl for using it, just more of feel a bit confused lol)
Xeno-origins? (XENE)
It's a bit up in the air. Sometimes it's fine, other times it gets into the territory of "you are letting people know of dangerous information so it may be good to be aware you are doing so." You are not at fault if someone does take advantage of you because of it however. Therefore even in those cases we cannot be 100% against it. We also tend to use terms that give away things and could be theoretically used against us.

It’s so weird to me that people in this fandom get called abuse apologists or some other inherently horrible and damaging label for simply liking certain characters. Whether it’s for liking Chloe, Rachel, Victoria, Finn- hell, I’ve even seen Alex stans get hate bc some people think she’s too needy and that she expected too much of those she talks about in her journal. 🤦🏼‍♀️But even if that were true, you can like a character w/o thinking every aspect of them is perfect bc everyone is flawed.
It just blows my mind because one of the basic principles of character writing is that characters need to be flawed to be written well. You don’t have to be a professional writer to know that; humanity is imperfect and that is a universal and eternal truth. We fuck up, we say things we don’t mean, we have limited perspectives, and we are always learning. Also, if people weren’t allowed to enjoy media with some problematic elements because it was indicative of their personal character or values, then we’d never be able to consume any media that was more than 5-10 years old, and even that is debatable. Like, even ATLA could be written off as problematic and unwatchable for having white actors voice Asian and Indigenous-coded characters or that the ships are inherently flawed, and that would be a damn shame.
I noticed that the characters in True Colors, and TC in general, tries harder to be inoffensive and sanitized. Its stakes are lower, its tragedy is more muted and understated, Alex’s backstory is very dark but is presented and resolved in one neat nightmare sequence, its violence is downplayed (Gabe is the only character to die, and mostly offscreen, and Alex is shot but is never shown to be in any danger of collapsing or dying during chapter 5). It also tackles fewer social issues and with a lighter hand, such as the structural flaws in the foster care system and its coverage of mental health. It expresses its opinions far more quietly than LiS1 or LiS2, if at all. Whereas in those games specific characters represented very extreme political views (David’s comments on women, Chloe’s comments on guns, all the racists in LiS2), nobody outright vilifies the Chen siblings except maybe Mac. The main characters are all older and more mature, and nobody pressures Alex into making morally dubious decisions like in the previous games, but they lack the “bite” of previous companion characters that might have made them more memorable or relatable to some players. I don’t think this is bad writing, but it’s clear how LiS2’s critical reception compelled D9 to dial back on the politics in TC.
And even after all that, people find ways to hate on Steph for being “overrated” and Ryan for being “boring,” or they fixate on his one mistake of not believing Alex (which is entirely conditional) as a reason to hate him and call him irredeemable. Or people write off TC as forgettable, boring, or overhyped as well. While I love TC, I do think that it took much fewer risks than previous games to alienate fewer fans. If D9 wants to write its games like this, that’s great for them, but as fans, I think we can afford to play these games with a little more nuance and, well, empathy toward its characters, including their flaws. It’s what TC is all about, after all.
Thank you for sending this ask!

Juliet Higgins is the Main Character of Magnum PI - An Argument
Now you’re all going; Huh? Did you miss the fact that the show is named “Magnum PI”? It’s obvious who the main character is; Thomas Magnum.
An yes, there is no question that Magnum is the protagonist; he drives the story, moving plot forward towards the conclusion of each episode.
But the question is, is he the main character in the sense that; is he the character who has changed the most because of the experiences he’s gone through in the series (so far)?
I’d argue he’s not and that this role actually belongs to Juliet Higgins. And that Magnum & Higgins, together (both as just business partners or something more), makes for a much more compelling story.
Don’t believe me? Let’s to a quick run down to where the characters start compared to where they are now.
Tumblr media
Magnum: (pilot) Has 3 friends he trusts with his life, works as a PI, lives in Robin Master’s guest house and drives his Ferrari, recently had his heartbroken but still believes in love. Has a frenemy-ish relationship with Juliet Higgins.
Magnum: (2x14) Has 3+ friends he trusts with his life (Juliet takes Nuzo’s place here and maybe Gordon counts now), works as a PI, lives in Robin Master’s guest house and drives his Ferrari, recently had his heartbroken but still believes in love. Has a frenemy-ish relationship (Work) partner with Juliet Higgins.
Higgins: (Pilot) has about one friend on the island (the British dude that dies), works as Robin’s majordomo, disavowed by MI6, wants vengeance on the man who killed her fiance, emotionally disconnected from pretty much everyone.
Higgins: (2x14) has 3-4 close friends who she trusts (counting Kumu), found her fiance’s killer and chose to arrest him rather than kill him, chose to walk away from MI6 to work with Magnum as his partner to help people. Starting to open up to both Magnum & Kumu emotionally.
Tumblr media
Basically, the only thing that has changed in Magnum’s life is that he now works with Higgins and takes her feelings more into account. And the girl he’s kind of heartbroken about is Abby instead of Hannah. But Magnum was never painted as totally closed off even as he was mourning/getting over Hannah and her betrayal. He’s grieving Nuzo, but this seems to have limited effect on his life (perhaps because we, the viewers, did not see Magnum’s life with Nuzo in it for long enough to notice the change.)
So compared to Higgins whose had much more emotional as well as actual stuff change (catching Viper + turning down MI6 + working with Magnum), Magnum has remained very similar.
This is, of course, partly a product of the medium; TV, especially episodic, needs a familiar hero and structure.
Tumblr media
Still, it clear to see that Higgins has changed and Magnum has not.
It’s also interesting to point out that in season 1, Higgins is antagonistic towards him but he is not antagonistic towards her. I mean he gives as good as it gets, but it is largely Higgins who seems to be “attacking” him; changing gate codes, showing up at his house early with a bunch of kids to annoy him, setting the dogs after him and having his Ferrari towed.
Her version of this / explanation to this is stated well it in the “Blood in the Water” episode “It is as if your sole purpose in life is to needle me.” Starting out, she feels he’s coming into her life and changing it. And she initially resists the change by lashing out at him but this becomes harder to do as she at the same time is growing to like him.
Tumblr media
Most of this early behavior is also filmed in a way, where while she’s not an “evil” bad guy, it’s a behavior that is wrong and should be “corrected” and as of lately it has been changing.
Compare setting the dogs on him for “stealing” wine in 2x01 to just 2x09 where she uncorks a bottle for them both to share. To the pilot when she barely will let him borrow the Ferrari to go find Nuzo’s killers to 2x11 when she flies to South America to save him and there is no question in her doing that what so ever. Actually got up on stage and singing karaoke in a bar at the end of 2x14 (I don’t see pilot Higgins ever doing that.) Telling Magnum in 2x03 that she’ll be his partner and “she’s found something she doesn't want to lose in Hawaii” and in 2x13 telling him she wants to be honest with him, compared to her nonexistent “emotional openness” in early season 1.
Juliet Higgins has changed a lot, mostly thanks to Magnum and always for the better (or so it is famed). Other characters (both the series regulars as well as clients and characters like Jin) influence her thoughts and views more than they do Magnum and thanks to this she’s becoming a fully realized character, dealing with her issues and letting herself care about people. And Magnum is the catalyst, the herald and sidekick (and even antagonist) all rolled into one, of her journey. He is impacting and changing her life but he himself is remaining very similar to how we see him in the pilot.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Magnum’s tendency to ask for way too extreme favors from his friends all the time and being kind of reckless when on a case (and also never having any money/borrowing money from his friends) is poked at but is not (IMHO) framed as truly problematic, something that he needs to change or is even really that bad. There are no consequences for him always asking TC and Rick to help. Even if he temporarily loses Gordon’s friendship after lying about Hannah, that is eventually forgiven when he apologizes. Magnum has not changed nor is he portrayed as needing to change; internally, emotionally or externally.
Perhaps his progressing relationship with Higgins could be seen as change. He’s learned to work with someone (even if it was not established he had problems doing so from the start.) If the Miggy ship sails, they’ll both have had a satisfying relationship/ romance arch, starting off as kinda enemies, becoming frienemies, then friends and then partners and eventually being romantically involved.
Being alone in the pilot and ending up in a relationship by the end of the series (something we viewers love to see in movies and shows) is a good emotional arch. So I guess I could give that to Magnum. If it happens.
Only Magnum has not been shown to struggle with making emotional connections with people. He did have some random girls in season 1, but when meeting Abby he seems open to a committed relationship. Him entering into a romantic relationship with Higgins wouldn’t be as big of a deal to him, because it already been established he’s open to it, unlike Higgins.
Perhaps they will backtrack on this, having Magnum mention that maybe he wasn’t ready to move on and that might have been why Abby didn’t want to stay and fight for him (even if it was in-show heavily implied Abby ended things with him because she felt he had a stronger connection with Higgins than her.)
Change is part of why we like to ship couples, the positive differences in one's life that come from being with someone who truly completes us.
Tumblr media
Something many (if not most) people want to find; be it a romantic soulmate or a best friend kind of soulmate. So Magnum getting with “the right girl” would be satisfying in a sense for his character.
BUT the one with the emotional baggage here is Juliet. Her hang-ups are bigger than his. She will have to change and develop more than him before she’s ready more of a serious relationship. Not only is there the Richard part, the I’m an emotionally suppressed Brit part but we got even more recent demonstration that she has trouble trusting and sharing the parts of herself she’s insecure about. I mean she wouldn’t even tell with Magnum that she’d dated the married guy, instead lying about it and faking an injury, because she was judging herself and fearing he would judge her too in 2x13. That’s some serious hang-ups.
Worth noting; main characters don’t have to change (especially not in action/crime TV shows). So even if Magnum never changes much he will always be the protagonist, whose eyes we view the story through. It’s his name on the door, after all, even if he changes it in-show to Magnum & Higgins Private Investigators, they won’t do that to the show in the real world. It’s through Magnum’s eyes the cases are framed. He is our point of view character.
But Juliet Higgins is the character that changes and her “flaws” at the start and their eventual realization and attempt to change, is what makes the story interesting. Characters changing, letting people in, doing the right thing, becoming part of something makes us, the viewer, want to change too, be part of something. Be better.
Because if they can do it, we can too.
And in Magnum PI, Juliet Higgins is the character who’s changed the most. The character with the emotional as well as external arch. The character who’s been shown needs to change and actually has. The outsider who has become part of something. Something I’d say makes her more of a main character than anyone else in this series.
This makes the relationship between Magnum and Higgins, the relationship between protagonist and main character the most crucial part of the show. Their relationship, as frenemies, friends and now partners, is crucial because of how these two factors work together. In the duality of this, things become much more interesting and gives us two-character with equal importance to the overall series and its emotional impact on the audience.
So, in conclusion, Magnum is the protagonist. He leads the story, frames it, narrates it at times. Higgins is the main character, she changes because of the other characters and the story.

mtmte liveblog issue 22
oooh man, its time to feel some EMOTIONS!
I'm BACK after a hiatus, which was due in part to me getting my 1st dose of the covid vaccine! woohoo!
anyways, starting here w/issue 22....we have a great cover w/thunderclash, the legend himself
oof. the covers made me forget how much I don't like the art this issue...I hate to be mean to the artists but this art style just isn't doin it for me chief
god I love this issue though. the framing device of rewind’s movie is so so fantastic
tailgate listing off all his fake awards/accomplishments....ily
rodimus my boy, you're a prime in my heart
the ‘not a decepticon’ label for cyclonus is so much hvbhkjfbskjf
I literally wanna comment on every single panel bc I love all the characters so much but then id be here forever...that being said whirl ily sm
hvbjdfbhsfjhdfshja BRAINSTORM ‘according to perceptor - ships genius’ hvhdkjhbfhjs ily dumb gay idiot
and then the cut to perceptor after brainstorm like, blew up his lab vjbkdsfnbksjf dude
GODDDDDD drift ‘your name...defines you. it’s your soul expressed in syllables. hm? oh, yes, sorry. it’s drift.’ GOD he’s so fucking funny. I love early story hippy drift
god I cant stop thinking about how good this whole issue would be as an animated show...like, specifically rewinds film, it would be SO FUCKING GOOOOOOD mtmte show WHEN
rewiiiiind ;_; I fuckgin love rewind god. fellow video editing enthusiast....
ohhhh rodimus being embarrassed about his big speech at the beginning of mtmte....my boy I love u so much
gjhnbgehjsrkfbjksf magnus being suspicious of rewind oh my god. magnus ily but please, look at the lil guy, he’s a good boy, most of the time
the fuckgin footage that magnus removed hbvhakjbfhskf god. wasn't that intended to be footage of magnus dancing? I love him
minibot squad.....
and here it begins, the mystery stick rung question...
poor rung oh my god he’s just trying to polish his lil spaceship and people r throwing shit at him. taking Ls as per usual it seems
hand grenade tag hvbfjksdnfbkjdf love that callback
noooo rungs ship :(
magnus’s censorship vhbhadkjfhdbhjsakjhfn
oh man I forgot about how they met that race of Transformers But More
the one-upsmanship hbvkajsbehfjks
whirrrrrl lmao I love whirl sm
goddddd whirl just killing that other alien and ending the 16 million yr long civil war bvkjsdbfhjjkafs so fucking much
oh god oh god the ‘are you happy’ page, I'm not emotionally equipped to handle this like, ever
but I will say I feel like it would be EVEN MORE oof if it were milne or someone drawing it bc I feel like this art style takes away from some of the impact bc the expressions aren't really that...expressive? idk how to put it
anyways. every single answer destroys me!!! like even the happy ones, like chromedome and rewind and tailgate - well, in present time, none of those three are doing so hot, so that makes this just hurt
and rung....that is so fucking depressing. jesus. this guy is so fuckng sad, somebody get him a friend stat
and swerve...ouch. this readthru I've really noticed how much early-mtmte swerve is not-so-subtly like, crying out for help bc he’s so alone and shit. jesus
also brainstorms response is just plain ole sad w/context, but at this point in the story without context, it just seems very foreboding lmao. I'm realizing this readthru that brainstorm is very sketchy and ominous in a particular ‘is he evil?’ mad scientist sorta way in early mtmte
and then everyone else is also just so OOF in their own unique sad ways, but I think the worst out of everyone is drift....GODDDDDD. especially considering that at this point in the story, drift is this kinda goofy hippy guy, so seeing him just sit there with his face in his hand, not even answering the question...AND knowing that shortly after this he’ll end up banished...IT FUCKING HURTS M8!
meanwhile, the more upbeat ‘quest to see rungs alt mode’ continues...with an ‘alt mode party’ vhbadkjsdfnabskjf it looks so silly with a bunch of cars just sitting around a table lmao
I cant even tell who everyone is bc they so rarely turn into cars n shit lmaoooooo
rodimus with the bucket on his head hbvhakjbfskjf I CANT
everyone’s reactions to thunderclash...i fucking love it
the fact that TAILGATE doesn't hate him, even though we’ve seen that tailgate tends to dislike people who are universally liked/who have achieved a lot of impressive things
rodimus you petty thot vbdkjbfdjhsakjdf ily
RODIMUS IS SO FUNNYYYYYY ‘I'm not making all these sacrifices and leading these guys into battle and being inspirational - I'm not doing that because it makes me look good’ RODIMUS VBHSKJDFNBKSJF
thunderclash talking about magnus’s article on typefaces....hdbksjfsdbkjgfb bro
AND THEN MAGNUS HUGS HIM....HGBSKJFDSHFKD I CANT
POOR DRIFT bvhajkdfbhjkjsfd rodimus saying he ‘rehabilitated him’ oh my god
the whole spectralism thing...im sorry I cant get over how funny all this is vbakdjfbksjf thunderclash rlly b out here charming rodimus’s entire crew
and then ratchet comes in, calling tc ‘thunders,’ and tc immediately notices ratchets new hands (somehow) hvbkjfhbskjf truly amazing
it cracks me up that rodimus is all 😒😒 at thunderclash, even though as we come to find out, tc really IS That Perfect, and him complimenting rodimus isn't sarcasm at all lmao
AND THEYRE LOOKING FOR THE KNIGHTS OF CYBERTRON TOO HVSDHFJBSHKHDFJS OF COURSE
the vis vitalis being a life support machine spaceship is a really cool concept tho
‘rescuing some orphans from an exploding sun’ I fucking cant
evil guy: [holds a gun to thunderclash’s head]
rodimus: :D finally something doesn't go his way!
he’s so petty I’m..........dkdjhfdabhduifadijgl
and its the aliens from earlier! oooh
GODDD I forgot that swerve used rung in mystery stick mode to SCHWACK the guy
rung casually dropping the fact that the functionists like, experimented on him...there's a lot of implications there, and that'll certainly be explored more later...
the fact that his ID card says ‘rong’ hvbhjakhdsbfakhsjfn
oughufadkfujbsfk the circle of light throwing wrenches n shit at skids...guys cmon vbhsdjkfnslfd
the circle of light is like ‘wtf you all have trauma and a bunch of weird unhealthy coping mechanisms this is wack byeeeee’ lmao
skids calling the lost light his home is rlly sweet tho
cant believe the religious space hippy cult is being so rude about a film made by a guy who died like a week ago. unreal
cd finally figured out how to make the pffft sound, good for him
AUGHHHHH the fact that rewind used ‘little victories’ as the title of the film and that's something that chromedome said in the video ;_; I'm fucking inconsolable
rodimus, despite his obvious posturing for the camera during the whole issue, comes off as surprisingly genuine when he says that he hasn't thought about his own future much, but wants the crew to have a happy ending....im gonna cry
‘who knows what's around the corner?’ tailgate, PLEASE don't say that, oh my god,
OUGHHHH GROUP SHOT
OHHH mannnnNNNNN i love this issue SO MUCH. what a good fun emotional rollercoaster wrap-up to mtmte s1. god.
like, this issue has it all - humor, drama, crippling sadness, intrigue, worldbuilding...it’s so excellent
and getting to see rewind again hurts so bad but also I love him
ok quick mtmte s1 retrospective...god s1 is so fucking good. I'm gonna have to read more to say which chunk of mtmte I liked best but s1 is so fucking excellent that it might be my favorite. though its hard to pick bc there's so much good stuff later on too...whatever, the point is s1 is so so good
the plotlines and characters are fucking stellar. like I cant even believe how well Everything works, its very impressive. I cant really think of anything major that made me go ‘yeah could've done without that plotline/character’
I love how dedicated jro is to connecting everything. I've mentioned it before but basically every single moment in the series has payoff - what you initially think is just a funny moment, or a fluffy character establishment bit, ends up ALSO being an important plot point later, in some way
an example would be here w/rung and his alt mode - it just seems like a fun little B-plot for this issue, and seems to pretty neatly conclude with the reveal that rung was eventually classified as an ‘ornament’ (lmao)...but we later on get to see a lot more about this, both here and in the functionist universe
and like, stuff like tailgate’s autobot lessons w/magnus - at first that can be seen as purely character establishment stuff, showing that magnus is a strict rule-lover and tg is a loveable try-hard good boy - but that becomes plot relevant in remain in light, with tailgate saving the day due to his knowledge of the autobot code (and its also character relevant, with magnus’s arc in remain in light).
and I know this is like. a normal regular thing in writing, but I'm just very impressed about how cleanly jro pulls it off, and how many things he’s juggling at once, especially in early mtmte - it’s very ambitious!
and we gotta remember, this is a comic book. I've read a lot of comic books, and the quality is all over the place. a lot of writers bite off more than they can chew, and the story ends up kinda scattered as a result.
another thing I see a lot in franchise writing like this is a lack of strong early character establishing due to the author assuming the readers are at least somewhat familiar with the characters already - which can be totally fair depending on where it is in the continuity, but other times it can come off as lazy
in mtmte, the cast is extremely well fleshed out, and not only that, the cast itself is unique in that there are a lot of relative unknowns (franchise-wise) - which I think was an absolutely brilliant move, because then jro was able to essentially create The Definitive Version of these characters - characters like swerve, brainstorm, chromedome, rewind, tailgate...mtmte is their baseline characterization, because they haven't really appeared in much else
this also allows for deviation from the franchise norms - again, a comic book classic is good writing being stifled by a need to stick to a certain status quo regard the characters, the world, the powers, relationships, etc
(I've mostly read DC comics, and some marvel, so I'm thinking superheroes w/all these comic comparisons)
so mtmte had a good recipe for genuine creativity in that the characters were relative unknowns, the plot was basically ‘space road trip,’ the status quo of ‘autobot vs decepticon war’ had been demolished throughout the entire franchise...so jro was able to take all that and run, and it turned out so fantastic
and luckily it isn't over yet! so many comics suffer from premature cancellation...and sadly mtmte/ll isn't exempt from this, as we’ll see later, but I've seen some awful ones, where comics are forced to wrap up in like 2 issues while in the middle of an arc. yikes.
but another comic staple...one of my least favorite things about comics books in general...something that was basically responsible for driving me away from comics after reading a bunch...the dreaded crossover event
yep, even mtmte isn't immune to this unfortunate plague on the comic industry. crossover events are the absolute worst, and I'm saying this as somebody who adores crossovers (in concept more than execution usually). they SHOULD be my favorite, but unfortunately they p much always completely suck
they're essentially a ploy to get you to read the other ongoing titles, but they usually only serve to bog down whatever story you're reading to the point where you don't even wanna read that one anymore, let alone read all the other ongoings. at least, that’s been my experience
it doesn't help that reading orders tend to be hard to find/keep track of, and that you need to go read the other series to know what's going on. I just hate it, like, I came here to read THIS series, I don't want a bunch of other series showing up too - even if I was reading two series, I wouldn't want them crossed over, because they're separate stories! augh!
I'm totally losing my focus here but my point is...crossover events suck, and mtmte unfortunately is involved in one. I have not read dark cybertron, and I'm not about to. I've heard nothing but bad things so I have no desire to inflict that upon myself
soooo ill be reading through the tfwiki articles for those issues to give myself a better understanding of what went on - which is more than I've ever done in the past - and maybe ill even make a single post summarizing my thoughts on what I read in the wiki, lmao
but yea ill be skipping to the mtmte s2 stuff next
phew ok I'm super tired, my vision keeps blurring out and stuff lmao. its time for bed, I probably have more thoughts but ill save them for later. for now...peace out!

[Where My Twin Watches]: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood Episode 42
Last time: Frostbite continues to not be an issue for female cast members, Ed gave a chemistry lesson, and Kimblee was just the worst. Onwards!
Al still hasn’t woken up? That’s… probably not a good thing. For now, Winry’s watching over his disassembled parts in a cabin, while the rest of the Crew huddle around a small fire. Marcoh and May are still going over the notes, seems that “gold” keeps showing up and they think it’s some sort of pattern. I dunno, maybe the author just liked shiny things?
Tumblr media
Winry wanders over to see what they’re doing, Marcoh says they’re trying to decipher whatever code the author’s using. Alchemist are very skeptical of peer review after all, he even wrote all his own notes on the Philosopher’s Stone in recipe format to pad out the Reveal episode. For now, they’re banking on all these gold references as the- oh hey, Al’s back! Al’s brought back up to speed on what he missed (not much, they broke him down for easier carrying and took shelter in this cabin), everyone gets to play puzzle and put him back together. May’s left holding the notes, probably wishing she was helping reassemble her husband… wait, reassemble? Pieces? Aha! Winry and Marcoh are just a little freaked out at May tossing all the pages to the ground in a big mess, but then she explains that they need to physically overlap all the references to “immortality” and “gold”. Even Scar get in on all the fun! Later, all the pages are down, and… yeah, I don’t see it. But now May’s taking some charcoal to connect all the symbols in the notes, and draws… [Al]: “It’s the country-wide Transmutation Circle.” Marcoh’s not doing too well, the Chimeras are yelling at him for these useless notes that aren’t telling them anything they don’t already know. Scar’s not happy either, to see that his brother’s research ended up being the Bad Guy’s plan… wait, but these paper notes weren’t the only thing your brother wrote, or rather drew. Don’t you have a bunch of ink on your arm? Calling it now, there’s more to this than just what was written in the papers. Al seems to think so too, although not about the arm being relevant, he just thinks that there’s more hidden past this first code. “Truth within the truth”, right? Or maybe he’s just trying to keep everyone hopeful. Whatever it is, it gets Marcoh out of his slump. Alright everyone, stare at the papers again to see if anything oh for Leto’s sake, Yoki, cover your mouth when you sneeze! Now the papers are all disorganized, “you can’t even tell which side of the page is right-side-up anymore” oh I get it. Turn the pages around, see what symbol you can make on the other side! So the pages are turned around, the new symbols connected, and it’s a new TC! An Xingese Alkahestry one, at that. So what does it do? Episode 42 - “Signs of a Counteroffensive” Hello? Xingese Alkahestry TC? Any explanation there? No? We’re just going to go back to the tunnels? Fine, let’s see what Ed and his own Chimera troops are up to. That’s not Ed, that’s Kimblee, being a creep and licking his cut hand. I get it, you’re weird and disturbing, just use your Philosopher’s Stone to fix your injury for Leto’s sake. Oh hey Ed was right, Kimblee did get lost wandering around the mines. Look, can Kimblee just die already and we can get back to the Goths? They were at least fairly competent, and aside from Bradley’s sudden case of Red Eyes and Evil Gloating at The Mighty Armstrong they made for good villains. Now we’re just following the wanderings of an idiot who won’t even heal his injuries and forgot to bring a map on his hunt. And again! You know, when I see a giant red X scrawled across a crooked door that reveals a staircase winding down into darkness, that’s generally a sign that Bad Things are below and you shouldn’t go. But Kimblee ignores that and continues down even when there’s no sign of his quarry. Bones, too! Huh, looks like this is connected to Sloth’s Tunnel. Well that guarantees that the Mine Crew didn’t come this way, otherwise they would have been seen by oh hi Pride. Kimblee reports that he’s searching for Scar, Pride tells him to hold off for now, go ahead and oh crap it’s time to “carve the Crest of Blood” at Briggs. And Armstrong the Great’s not there! But on the other hand, Pride is telling Kimblee to do it on his lonesome apparently. I changed my mind, this is going to be a hilarious curbstomp. Back at the Fort, Sideburns has returned to exposit that Kimblee’s missing after an explosion in the mine shafts. Hearing that no body was found Buccy and Falman exchange a look, and ask if any Briggs troops went missing with him. Sideburns has to come to a stop to say that they also couldn’t find Kimblee’s two flunkies, and the Fullmetal Alchemist. Aw, Buccy does care about the kid who snagged his crush. Sideburns is checking in with Breda, who’s reporting that a border war with their western neighbor is racking up quite the body count. Down south Fuery, no! Don’t hurt the radio operator, I’m almost completely over my annoyance that he took away my Fuhrer Fury joke! [Fuery]: “Damnit! I’m gonna survive this! I’m gonna live! I won’t die for this-” ...Fuery? Alright, so… Sideburns is staying in touch with Roy through “a messenger connected to the Armstrong Family” hey it’s Granny Armstrong! Got some more flowers for us? Uhhhh. Sloth just finished the tunnel. That’s not good. Uncle says it’s almost time. Mid-ep pictures of Pride’s Shadows and Beard. Now we’re in a town that looks a little worse for wear, did a Protagonist come through here or something? The work crews stop to get a lunch break from a woman with pink bangs, peaceful countryside guitar music starts as a worker tells Rose wait a minute *quick search to earlier recaps* It’s Rose! It’s Liore! Aw, the town’s rebuilding after the riots the Goths started. I’d honestly written off the place as a loss, but they’ve actually survived and have that good old wholesome community vibe going on. It’s not perfect yet, with those comments about how they don’t have any meat and have to ration food, but it’s a start. Almost everyone’s working, aside from those too old or young to, or… wait, Ling? Uh what. Beard. Why are you pulling a Ling. What’s with this “oh poor feeble starving me” routine? Guys. Beard is gulping down soup at an amusingly fast pace and smiling and oh my Leto is is flirting with Rose? Seriously he’s turned into Ling, what is this. [Beard]: “Don’t underestimate yourself. A delicious meal and the smile of a lovely young lady are more help than you can imagine.”
Tumblr media
I can’t make this up, Beard’s even getting a thumbs-up from the cook for that line. OK phew we’re back to mysterious Beard asking for direction, this is more like I’m used to. He’s looking for… aha, he’s looking for the Church of Leto! Finally, we can invoke His Letoness to smite the Goths and restore peace to this world. About time! The church hasn’t gotten the same repairs as the rest of the town, and when they go further in Beard finds a pool of toxic water blocking the way. [Beard]: “I get the feeling this was put here to keep people from going any further. So…” *walks straight forward to shock of Rose and Cook* *Transmutes a stone walkway, without any hand movements or TC?* Now he’s wandering off into the darkness, asking Rose and Cook to wait for him to come back. Obviously they’re a little perturbed by all this. So I think that Rose and Cook are going to be waiting for a little while, Beard’s gone far enough in to run into Sloth’s Tunnel. I wonder if him knocking a hole in the side will mess up the pattern? He’s walking along the tracks, impressed at the scale of it all oh yeah Pride. Well, time to see how Beard fares against a Goth! Never mind, Beard’s employing a Ciaphas Cain and getting the frig out of there. Earthbent spikes from the wall? Nope. Giant pillars to try and trap Pride? Nope. Excuse me? “I’m afraid that’s all I’ve got?” What the Leto are you talking about man, you are the original form of Uncle, how are you so intimidated by a single Goth? Admittedly it’s Pride who seems ridiculously strong even by Goth standards, but still. And now he’s tripped over a rock! Seriously dude, this is Kimblee levels of bad, can you… manage to get into your tunnel where Pride’s shadows recoil and can’t touch you? Huh. That’s… and now Beard analyzing Pride, noting he can’t reach past Central or the Tunnel, it’s his container. Pride is actually freezing, his constant disturbing motion stopped in annoyance as Beard picks apart his weakness and is he taunting the shadow demon from a foot away? [Beard]: *head tilt, slight smile* “Are you angry?”
Tumblr media
Wow. Turns out Beard is a sarcastic little shit like Ling. Who’da thunk? Pride is claiming that he’s never angry, that he’s left all other emotions behind with Uncle. Beard lists off the Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, “and of course Pride.” Beard snarks that Pride was Uncle’s biggest trait, and his fashioning of Pride in his original Toothy Shadow appearance is just a sign of his egotistical nature. Pride insists that Beard go with him to see Uncle, but Beard takes a rain-check on that. Before he leaves, though, he tells Pride to pass on a message: “Tell him Slave 23 will be dropping in quite soon. Just tell him to be patient and relax in his chair beneath Central, I’m coming.” Uncle is waiting for him, as are his four chess pieces… wait, which one is missing? Hey, Rose and Cook actually waited? You gonna explain what happened, Beard? [Rose]: “What exactly were you doing in there?” [Beard]: “Hmmm. Sending a declaration of war.” Wow. Beard is just hamming up his role as the New Ling, isn’t he? Back to Briggs! The guard is changing up on the roof, when they turn to dramatic music to oh crap it’s the Drachmans! Sound the alarm, close the door and turn off the lights! If they think nobody’s home, maybe they’ll just drop off a few Letoism pamphlets and leave! Or you can break out the artillery, that works too. I’m assuming this guy is the Drachman CO, given his uniform bling and impressive beard. He’s noting that they’re lucky The Northern Wall of Briggs is away (because they wouldn’t dare attack if they knew she was within stabbing range), good work Mister oh. Well, that’s actually not a bad plan Kimblee. Get the neighboring country to wage war on expansionist Amestris, make a Crest of Blood without having to dirty your hands. Or since this is Kimblee we’re talking about, kill to your heart's content while disposable mooks deal with those you don’t bother with. So, those are some big cannons pointed at Fort Briggs. Let’s hope their walls are reinforced enough to are you kidding me?! That’s the end of the episode? Boo! Ok then! A very interesting episode, the biggest thing for me is Beard’s characterization. Happily chatting with townspeople, going all Adventurer into the darkness, and I honestly can’t tell if he was actually running from Pride because he didn’t want to fight or to lure him towards the tunnel edge in a case of Obfuscating Stupidity. I’m curious to see where he goes from here, and if he reverts back to his standoffish Mysterious Absentee Father mode when he runs into Ed again. A good- Hold up, after-credits scene. Zampana? Oh it’s Boar! Wait who are you reporting to WHAT THE HELL DUDE. You’re selling the Crew out to Envy and Bradley? I liked you, why’d you have to be another Raven? Boo.

𝕸𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖞 𝕮𝖍𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖒𝖆𝖘!
I had a good week making some small fixes and improvements to finish up the year. This is the last release of the year. There is a large poll on what 'big thing' to work on next:
poll
Here is the poll on what large work to go for next:
https://www.survey-maker.com/poll3310902xA574481e-102
You can vote on multiple items. Please don't worry about the seriousness of it too much--I have a good idea of what is likely to win already, and if there are obviously jank votes, I'll reserve the right to discount a result--but I am particularly interested to know what is and is not popular further down the list. I'll take the results on the 6th of January.
The end of 2020 has come quick for me. I still have the network updates 'big job' to do, so that's first for 2021 Q1, but after that, I will plan out and hack away at the top item(s) on the poll.
If you were not aware, a team of users is doing great work managing the Github issue tracker for hydrus. There is also a process there for bumping issues with reaction votes, viewable for big jobs like so:
https://github.com/hydrusnetwork/hydrus/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+sort%3Areactions-%2B1-desc+milestone%3A%22Major+jobs%22
I regret that am doing pretty terribly at consuming my Github work queue, but we'll see how 2021 goes. I'd like to start relying on that more to better prioritise my work.
work is all misc this week
The settings for autocomplete auto-search and character threshold have been moved from options->speed and memory to tags->manage tag display and search. They are also now service-specific! So, you can now set 'all known tags' or 'PTR' to autocomplete after, say, 5 characters but your 'my tags' to always get all results.
I worked on the recently re-activated '*' and 'namespace:*' advanced searches, which were running slow in the new pipeline on larger clients. I have improved some situations, and I think I have reduced the worst case scenario, but some large clients will still have trouble. I am not happy here, nor with other namespace- and subtag- lookup speed across the program, so I have made a plan to make some clever new indices here. As I have simplified and cleaned much of the tag logic over the past year, I now see the next holes that I should fill.
The new siblings and parents tag right-click menu proved a little tall after all, so I have reworked it to group items by all the services that share them. It is denser to look at, but I think it'll highlight unusual exceptions when you are trying to fix application. The 'this is the ideal' line is also removed.
You can now sort a row of pages by name from their right-click menu.
Advanced users: The parser edit UI's test panel now shows more data, and it formats JSON prettily. It isn't anything close to what a browser's developer mode will give you of course, but it is nicer. That panel also detects if you hit a jpeg or something and says so, rather than dumping garbage to the test panel or just throwing an error.
full list
tag autocomplete searches:
the 'fetch results as you type' and 'do-not-autocomplete character threshold' options are moved from _options->speed and memory_ to _tags->manage tag display and search_. they are now service specific!
getting the raw '*' autocomplete is now hugely faster when both file and tag domains are specific (i.e. not 'all known xxx')
getting the raw '*' autocomplete is now hugely faster in 'all known tags' domain. this is likely still bonkers on any decent sized client that syncs with the PTR, but if you have a small client that once synced with the PTR, this is now snappy
the cancelability of 'namespace:*' and 'match namespaces from normal search' searches should be improved
'namespace:*' queries are now much faster in some situations, particularly when searching in a specific tag domain (typically this happens in manage tags dialog) or a small-file client, but is still pretty slow for clients with many files, and I think some scenarios are still bananas. I am not happy here and have started a plan to improve my service domain caches to deal with several ongoing problems with slow namespace and subtag lookup in different situations
fixed an issue with advanced autocomplete result matching where a previously cached 'character:sam' result could match 'char:sam' search text
some misc code cleanup and UI label improvements in autocomplete
.
the rest:
the siblings & parents tag menu, which proved a little tall after all, is now compressed to group siblings, parents, and children by the shared services that hold them. it takes less space, and odd exceptions should be easy to spot
this menu also no longer has the 'this is the ideal tag' line
added 'sort pages by name a-z/z-a' to page right-click menu and tucked the sorts into a submenu
the parsing test panel now shows up to 64KB of what you pulled (previously 1KB)
the parsing test panel now shows json in prettier indented form
when the parsing test panel is told to fetch a URL that is neither HTML or JSON, this is now caught more safely and tested against permitted file types. if it was really a jpeg, it will now say 'looks like a jpeg' and disable parse testing. if the data type could not be figured out, it tries to throw the mess into view and permits parse testing, in case this is some weird javascript or something that you'll want to pre-parse convert
the dreaded null-character is now eliminated in all cases when text is decoded from a site, even if the site has invalid unicode or no encoding can be found (e.g. if it is truly a jpeg or something and we just end up wanting to throw a preview of that mess into UI)
the 'enter example path here' input on import folders' filename tagging options edit panel now uses placeholder text and auto-removes 'file:///' URL prefixes (e.g. if your paste happens to add them)
the 'fix invalid tags' routine now updates the tag row in the local tags cache, so users who found some broken tags were not updating should now be sorted
added --db_cache_size launch parameter, and added some text to the launch_parameters help about it. by default, hydrus permits 200MB per file, which means a megaclient under persistent heavy load might want 800MB. users with megamemory but slow drives might want to play with this, let me know what you find

next week
I am now on vacation. I have some family Christmas things going on, and otherwise I am looking forward to grinding away at lategame X3 TC with some Wagner. I hope you can have a good break as well. I'll be back to normal in the new year, and 424 should be out on the 6th of January.
