sims 4 crystal legacy challenge
Tumblr media
hello! here is a legacy challenge i created while playing the Garden Legacy challenge. i didn’t want to finish on my tenth gen and decided to create my own challenge, based on crystals. this challenge can be continued from a previous save or started in a new one! i also tried to implement base game options for those who don’t own all the packs! some gens do need packs but if you don’t have them, they may be skipped.
if you play this please tag me! or post your sims with #iovmegumi crystal legacy challenge
general rules ❥ you do not have to live on the same lot for all 10 generations if you wish. ❥ mods and cc are allowed! ❥ no money cheats ! ❥ i’ve assigned a colour to each gen so you may play with berry sims if you wish!  ❥ i’ve decided that in each generation you may roll for offspring (rolling a dice or using a random number generator to decide how many children) unless stated otherwise in the rules.
gen one - rose quartz (pink)
a stone of unconditional love.
growing up, all you ever wanted was a family. leaving home young to start your life, you work on your career while trying to find the one, dedicated to cultivating the perfect life. you work hard to support your family and love your children so much, opening your heart and home to those in need of families as well. you cherish your partner and frequently find yourself going on date nights.

a symbol of light and hope and also encourages us to embrace new beginnings.
your parents were so focused on the world around you that you began wondering what else was out there. you grew a fascination for space and found the urge to explore outside your planet. you meet some different people, and even find yourself falling in love with one of them. how do you tell your parents that you’re marrying an alien?

Tips for Maximizing the Use of Clubs in The Sims 4
Greetings everyone,
If you've played The Sims 4, you're likely aware that Get Together is one of the best expansion packs ever released for the game! It adds new dynamics to your gameplay and social clubs that can be used to improve your sims' lives. In this post, I'll share my favorite ways to use social clubs in The Sims 4 to help you get the most out of them.
It may be a lengthy read, so proceed at your own discretion.
Using social clubs to control sims' autonomy
One of the most significant advantages of social clubs is the ability to control your sims' behavior. Club activities override individual sims' autonomous actions, allowing you to direct their actions in a more productive manner. You could establish a private club for your household and use it to make your sims do chores, study, have fun, or anything else that comes to mind. You can alter club activities at any time as long as you are the club leader.
Creating your own lore through social circles
Friendships and relationships are easy to establish in The Sims 4, but they are often shallow and meaningless. It's more realistic for sims to be friends with others who share their interests or hobbies. By bringing these sims together in social clubs, you can create your own lore and stories.
In addition, you can cause drama and rivalries between different clubs by encouraging mean interactions or by banning friendly interactions with selected ones. Trust me, it brings so much life to your gameplay!
Using social clubs to explore new spaces
In The Sims 4, you can easily stay on your home lot and self-sustain indefinitely, making the game feel isolated and limited. By using social clubs, you can direct your sims to hang out at designated lots or locations, allowing them to explore the world outside their home.
Here are a few examples of social that I use in my game, based on different interests and social circles:
Interest-based Clubs
Adventure Associates: Join our nature-loving social club! We hike, fish, climb, ski, and snowboard. Connect with like-minded individuals and explore the great outdoors. (Requirements: Traits like Adventurous, Loves Outdoors, and skills such as fishing, skiing, rock climbing, etc.)
Budding Pals: Budding Pals is a gardening club for nature enthusiasts to learn plant care through sustainable practices. From novice to expert, join us in cultivating a beautiful and sustainable community garden. (Requirements: Traits like Green Fiend, Loves Outdoors, Animal Lover, Recycle Disciple, and skills such as flower-arranging and gardening)
Covalent Bonds: Not intimidated by rocket science? Think you could solve the Unsolvable Hetu Hypothesis if only you had enough moral support? Want to share electron pairs to create a stable balance of attractive and repulsive forces? Join the Covalent Bonds! (Requirements: Traits like genius, geek, overachiever, and skills such as rocket science, logic, robotics, etc.)
Desperate Homemakers: Desperate Homemakers is an inclusive group of close-knit stay-at-home folks inspired by "Desperate Housewives". They gather to gossip, play cards, and enjoy a bottle of chardonnay every now and then. (Requirements: Unemployed Sims)
Digital Divergence: Digital Divergence is a social club for gamers, coders, and streamers. Meet like-minded people, share ideas, and collaborate on projects. Join us for LAN parties, coding competitions, and streaming workshops! (Requirements: Traits like Geek, Creative, Socially Awkward, and skills such as programming, video gaming, media production, photography)
Epicurean Elites: A circle of select foodies who appreciate fine dining and culinary experiences. Members gather for exclusive events and tastings, exploring new flavors, techniques, and cuisines. (Requirements: Traits like Foodie, Snob, and skills such as Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, Baking, Mixology)
Grizzly Gang: Grizzly Gang: the ultimate club for alpha sports enthusiasts who push limits, crush goals, and dominate fields. Join like-minded beasts to unleash your inner grizzly and reach your full potential! (Requirements: Traits like Active, Bro, High-maintenance, Self-assured, Overachiever, Ambitious, and skills such as Fitness, Snowboarding, Rock Climbing)
Major Chords: Major ‘cause we’re important. Chords ‘cause we sound together. Don’t you want to sound together with us? (Requirements: Traits like Music Lover, Creative, Self-centered, Snob, and skills such as Piano, Violin, Singing, etc.)
Readaholics Anonymous: Are you a seasoned bibliophile? An aspiring writer? Grab your book and join us for lively discussions and plenty of page-turning fun! Our welcoming club offers a warm community of like-minded readers! (Requirements: Traits like Bookworm, Geek, Socially Awkward, and skills such as Research and Debate, Writing)
Tapestry Posse: Tapestry Posse is a social club that brings together individuals who share a passion for arts and crafts such as painting, knitting, cross-stitching, and candle-making. It's a friendly and relaxed community for artists and hobbies alike. (Requirements: Traits like Creative, Art Lover, Snob, and skills such as Painting, Cross-stitching, Knitting, Fabrication, etc.)
The High Society™ is a secretive society of the world's most influential people, from politicians to celebrities. Its true purpose is unknown, but membership is the ultimate status symbol among the elite. (Requirements: Wealth (Rich), Career: Law, Politician, Business, Actor, Entertainer, Military, Detective, Sciencist, Secret Agent, Criminal, and traits like Self-assured, Perfectionist, Ambitious, Snob, etc.)
In order to foster a sense of community and belonging, I suggest adding the 'Insider' trait as a requirement for membership in all clubs. Sims with the 'Insider' trait are naturally drawn to social groups and are more likely to participate in various club activities, ultimately enhancing the overall experience for all members.
Age-based Clubs
Lil' Wabbits: Lil' Wabbits is a playful and imaginative children's social club, where kids can make new friends and have fun with various activities. From dress-up to play pretend, it's all about having a great time in a safe and supportive environment. (Requirements: Age - Child)
Seasoned Seniors: Seasoned Seniors is a social club for elderly folks looking for fun and connection. Enjoy games, outings, and social events in a supportive environment. (Requirements: Age - Elder)
Youthopia: Youthopia is a social club for teenagers that offers fun activities and events to promote friendships and a sense of community. Youthopia is the perfect group for teens to hang out with and have a good time. (Requirements: Age - Teen)
Occult-themed Clubs
Aristoclaws: The Aristoclaws are a pack of wealthy and influential werewolves who balance their strength and ferocity with skilled diplomacy. They defend their territory with sharp claws and fierce howls, but also rely on their ability to negotiate and form alliances. (Requirements: Wealth (Rich), Werewolf (Trait))
Council of The Forgotten: The Council of Eternal Night governs all vampires globally from Forgotten Hollow. This oldest organization holds high esteem, guiding its members to reach their true power and potential. Register your household to connect with fellow vampires. (Requirements: Vampire (Trait))
Coven of the Dusk: Led by an enigmatic teen warlock, this coven follows ancient beliefs and practices green and dark magic for protection. Teenage witches gather to perform divination rituals, brew potions, cast spells, practice herbalism, and celebrate nature. (Requirements: Age - Teen, Spellcaster (Trait))
Faelwyn Union: The Faelwyn Union unites elves to promote peace and protect their rights. They preserve nature, known for their elven lore knowledge. Strong scholars with mutual respect for other races. (Requirements: Spellcaster (in my game, my elves are Spellcasters))
Glimmerbrook Magistrate: The Glimmerbrook Magistrate governs spellcasters, ensuring responsible magic use. Experienced members oversee training, investigate disputes, and prevent misuse. Respected authority in the magical community. (Requirements: Spellcaster (Trait)) Ivanovich House: Led by patriarch Dmitry, Ivanovich House is a vampire clan of northeastern heritage. They keep to themselves, wary of outsiders, and are known for their refined taste and skillful manipulation of those around them.
(Requirements: Vampire (Trait), Vampire Knowledge Skill)
Nzarogg Clan: The Nzarogg Clan, descendants of Windenburg's merfolks, now reside in Sulani. Adapting to their new environment, they retain their culture and traditions. They have no hesitation in putting anyone who opposes them in their place. (Requirements: Mermaid (Trait))
Steelfangs: The Steelfangs are a werewolf pack exclusively for affluent teenagers. With power, wealth, and influence, they rule their territory with sharp claws and a howl that strikes fear into their rivals. (Requirements: Age - Teen, Werewolf (Trait))
Tideglow Tribe: Native to Sulani, this conservative merfolk community sees newcomers as potential threats. Their strength and agility make them formidable defenders of their territory, and outsiders are only welcome if they earn the tribe's trust. (Requirements: Mermaid (Trait))
Additionally, you can make more clubs for your Sims' high school friends, university friends like "Foxbury Alumni," and organize annual events and gatherings to reminisce on old times and friendships.
I hope these examples gave you some inspiration to start your own social clubs and use them to their full potential in The Sims 4. Remember, social clubs are a great way to add depth and variety to your gameplay, and they can help you create unique stories and characters in your game.

Playing Favorites Challenge
Inspired by the “spoiled brat, hated child” trope seen in Gacha Life. I know. Gacha Life just affected my brain chemistry for a brief time when I was, like, 11. Play any life length. It’s fine, I don’t care.
Rules
You must create a couple in CAS. But do not create their kids. It literally does not matter what they end up being, as long as one of them can get pregnant and the other can impregnate, as they’re only super important for a brief time.
Get them a plot in newcrest. Make 2 child’s bedrooms. Make one highly extravagant and fancy, and make the other as cheap and dingy as you can.
As soon as you get them moved in, you must have them start trying for baby asap. I’d recommend not having the pregnancy holder do pregnancy tests after the first attempt and instead have them try for baby several times in a row and then have the pregnancy holder do a pregnancy test. Odds are they’ll be pregnant. This isn’t a hard and fast rule, though, just play however you like when it comes to this.
If you don’t have multiples in this first go round, the oldest child must automatically be the hated child. Have the parents try for baby again, and the new baby will be their favorite. If you have twins, flip a coin to see who is the favorite and who is the hated. If you have triplets, flip a digital 3-sided die (or a 6 sided die with 4 equating to 1, 2 equating to 5, and 6 equating to 3) to see which one is put up for adoption, and then flip a coin to see which one is hated and which one is favored. This is actually really funny to me, by the way, because the hated child probably thinks “there’s nobody in this family less fortunate than I” and then it turns out later on they had a long lost sibling their parents hated even more than them.
Make the hated child’s toddler trait Independent, and the favorite child’s toddler trait Fussy (or Spoiled, if you have Chingyu1023’s Toddler Traits mod)
Have the parents consistently do mean interactions with the hated child and neglect them, while tending to the favorite’s every whim.
Make it so the siblings hate each other. Preferably organically.
The hated child must take care of themself. They are not permitted to eat leftovers from the fridge as a child and teen, or cook for themself as a teen. It’s just quick meals for them. The favorite child will not cook whatsoever; their parents or hated sibling will cook for them.
With a few exceptions, whatever happens, happens. One of the parents dies? Oh well. Favorite child’s crush rejects them? Guess the kid will either have to learn to deal with rejection or hate their former crush forever. Hated child has something good happen to them for once (outside of their parents or sibling being nice to them)? Good for them. The only things you are allowed to reverse (or treat as failure state if you so choose) are both parents dying, or the kids getting taken away.
Have the hated child move away as soon as possible.
Once the favorite child moves out, get them married and have them have kids. Make sure this spouse can have kids. If you have to, you can make a spouse for them in cas.
Rinse and repeat with the favorite child as an heir.
You win once you hit 10 generations. If your sims’ family tree ends before this, then you lose the challenge. You can do this any way necessary.

Serial Killer Family Challenge
Every last one of them are remorseless about the deaths they or their family members commit. They’re all deranged in some way. And their main goal as a family?
Fill their attic with nothing but urns.
The only cheat you may use is using the UI cheating mod to remove any moodlets related to sadness over the death of a sim. No messing with their motives or their victims’ motives, or using MC Command Center to kill sims, or… etcetera. No using mods to add more murder methods, either. But other than that, you can use whatever you’d like.
Win Condition
Fill their attic to the brim with urns. Every last slot.
Rules
Once again, no mods to add more murder methods (no extreme violence mod, no mods to add more death types, etc etc) or to make it easier. Do not cheat to kill sims or add them to your household or anything, either. You can use deaths added in expansion packs to your heart’s content, however.
You may not modify the attic other than changing wallpaper/flooring or adding urns.
The attic must be able to fit at least 100 urns or more.
No excess furniture in the attic. No shelves to store more, no furniture to fill any slots.
You cannot kill any of the family members.
There must be at least 1 teen or younger sim in the household.
If you lose a single sim in your household (via death or sim protective services taking your children) you automatically lose the challenge. (The only exception being if you have an elder sim die of old age, because otherwise that will get annoying. Or you can ignore this exception if you want, and play on a time limit for added challenge if you really want to!)

Meet Nina Crenshaw (she/her)
Loves Outdoors, Adventurous, Genius
Nina loves what other sims refer to as “creepy crawlies”. As a budding Entomologist she knows how to appreciate what others desire to squash. Nina is looking for someone who appreciates bugs as much as her, or at least will appreciate how much she loves bugs. Her idea of a good time involves exploring green spaces while toting along insect guides and binoculars. Part of accepting Nina in your life will mean making room for her vast collection of terrariums.
-- More under the cut --
Other things to know about Nina. She has a distinguished degree in Biology, hates the color red and has a really obnoxious but endearing laugh. But most importantly, she is my submission for @simussy‘s Bramblewood Acres Bachelor Challenge.
[ps. If selected, I have a forewarning she is 33MB.]

meet the parrish family!
okay, after some deliberating, i decided i want to start posting about my whimsy story legacy, even though i'm halfway through it. i simply am obsessed with them and can't stop playing them.
1st photo, top left: the whole gang!
2nd photo, top right: say hello to eve (left) and manhattan (right). manhattan is my heiress, and eve is her spouse. they recently married and had twins. manhattan is an interior designer and eve is her woodworker - they're in the process of flipping the old houses in their neighborhood.
3rd photo, bottom left: the twins <33 on the left (manhattan's look-alike) is penelope, and her brother on the right is princeton. they just turned one!
4th photo, bottom right: and finally, my old generation. faith (on the right) is the mother of manhattan, and deon (on the left) is manhattan's stepdad. manhattan's biological father is a mystery that may be left better unsolved...
i'll post more about their individual backstories as time progresses, as i don't want to spring too much info on y'all all at once. ta-ta for now!

I'm thinking of writing a legacy challenge inspired by overwatch, with the generation rules being based on different heros. Would anyone be interested in this?

Weird Dollhouse
Okay I have to admit the premise for this challenge is a weird one. I literally did not know what to title it. The premise? Take at minimum 5 toddlers/infants from pre-existing families on your gallery, age them up in CAS, tweak outfits as necessary (not faces or bodies, unless it’s a change to the fit-fat stuff), move them into a dollhouse-adjacent structure, yards optional, and then give them exactly 100k simoleons to start with. The catch? There’s no doors and gates to let them out of their new home. They must stay in their house 24/7, and they are not allowed to leave. But of course, the simoleons start to run out overtime, so what’s a sim to do, but sell cross-stitches and knits?
Good luck.
Rules
Grab 5 infant/toddler sims you happen to have in your gallery, all from different sim families. Age them up, tweak outfits and fit/fat stuff as necessary.
You must start with exactly 100k simoleons, as aforementioned, outside of buying and building the lot up. The house must have rooms in a line; no deviations, such as rooms behind rooms. It’s like a weird dollhouse (ooh, namedrop.).
There will be no leaving the lot under any circumstances.
Play at least 3 generations in this house.
Don’t move out a single adult. Your founders made the mistake of moving into this house. They will pay the price.
You may abduct sims to add to the household, to make things easier.
Extra challenge
Don’t let a single child get taken away. You automatically lose if any children get taken away.
Somehow figure out a way to not need to abduct extra sims.
Alternatively to the 3 generation minimum in this challenge’s basic version, play a full 10 generations instead.

New graphics set, this time for the Sims in Bloom Legacy by @a-sims-garden! I've been wanting to do this challenge for a long time. I hope I'm able to eventually.
