The entire island chain of the Shattered Teeth being infused with primordial chaotic energy from Avalir detonating and diffusing Ka'mort and Rau'shan being so fucking whack that the islands supposedly can move around is the coolest shit i have ever heard

Domunas was Exandria's Smile, huh?
Would be a shame if something were to change that.

I want to have tea with Turtle Grandma Jirana the Shore Shrew in her giant toad house SO BAD.
also, Matt described the interior of Toriz to be “almost disturbing if it weren’t so quaint.” And like… that’s the Ligament Manor but reversed. Almost quaint if it wasn’t so disturbing. Anyway, love all the delightfully weird grannies we’re getting this campaign.

So I'm on the Wiki, as you do, and when i was looking at who might be living in the shattered teeth i found something. Interesting.
Worshipping dreams and nightmares... two things which are heavily connected to Ruidus, the Reiliora, and thus Predathos. Hm.
(Also apparently there might be dinosaurs.)

Round 3 Poll 12
Molaesmyr, Wildemount: Molaesmyr was an elven city destroyed during a disaster in 585PD. It is located in the corrupted woodlands of the Savalirwood, formerly known as Veluthil Forest. When Bells Hells were separated during the Apogee Solstice of 843, “Team Wildemount" visited the ruins to investigate the history of Ludinus Da'leth.
Avalir: Avalir was a pre-Calamity flying city made out of the top half of the mountain Ygora. The Ring of Brass (ExU Calamity's PC party) lived and worked here, and by a certain definition it could be said that the Calamity began here, with the destruction of the Tree of Names beneath the surface.

and this is all we get. two paragraphs in a book 300 pages long. no mention of avalir or cathmoira, no mention that these islands were once a continent, not even a mention that this harsh landscape was another consequence of the calamity. the name domunas has been forgotten, as has toramunda. the people who now occupy its place are right back to chasing endless wealth and seeking power from unsettling dreams.
but there are people, here. and maybe, at the very bottom of the ocean, there’s still a fragment of the ones who made that possible.

You know, giving what know about the oracles of Avalir, the comment about Domunus being the Smile of Exandria - I’m really leaning on Domunus being what is now the Shattered Teeth.
What if Avalir’s fall creates a sort of detonation that shatters a whole continent into islands? This may kick start the Calamity, but none of the other cities realize what it is until Vasselheim is attacked?
What is the survivors of Avalir form this society on the remnants of their continent and base their entire culture around dreams and nightmares to become the Ossended Host? Because they ignored those dreams, ruled them as impossible, and look where it got them?
Also, the source of the Host’s dreams are beneath the surface of the Shattered Teeth? Hmm. Hmmmm.
I’m probably very very wrong.
Side Note: The Ossended Host has to be Exandrias version of Kalashtar or I’ll eat my elaborate Tin Foil Hat. Screen shot from Tal’Dorei Reborn, pg 145.

Asmodeus calling Domunas the smile on Exandria's face? And then it being destroyed to become the Shattered Teeth? Rude.

Talking to my Coworker About Factions I wanna use in Ruins of Avalir
Me: And then you've got the Wandermen's Assembly, which are described in the source material as ruthless capitalist assholes trying to make themselves look like an honorable brotherhood and failing miserably.
My Coworker: Oh, so a fraternity.
