Emperor Edelgard has declared war on the Church of Seiros and the Crest-dominated world it has created. Her first move is to topple the most prominent symbol of the church's dominance: Garreg Mach.

US!Rhea created the Crust system - she purposedly chopped her siblings to pieces to give part of them to humans, thus giving said humans superpowers and creating a system where humans who ate/or descend from the ones who ate a part of her siblings are more important than others.

The new emperor Edelgard declares war on the cult. Aiming for the end of the world ruled by crests, she aims at the fall of Garreg Mach, the symbol of the Church of Seiros. A new era of warfare had begun.

With Dimitri fallen on the Tailtean Plains, Rhea pulls her troops back to defend Fhirdiad, continuing a war that has spanned five long years.

US!Rhea continues the war, by pulling her troops back to defend the capital. In our glorious Supreme Leader’s very own words, why wanting to protect the city if the King is already dead?

What an evil creature! She could stop the war if she just stopped defending the capital! But no, she wants to protect this stupid city, thus continues the war! There is no other reason why Rhea “continues” this war, nor why her troops are going to Fhirdiad!

Dimitri scatters in Tartine's field, and the retreating Rhea and the others retreat to the royal capital of Ferdia to resist the Imperial army. Five years of warfare were about to come to an end.

Tras la caída de Dimitri en las llanuras de Tailtean, Rhea decide replegarse en Fhirdiad, la capital del Reino, para resistir frente al empuje del escuadrón del Águila Negra. Tras cinco largos años, la guerra parece llegar a su fin.

Tandis que l'armée de Dimitri a été déroutée sur la plaine de Tailtean, Rhea s'est repliée à Fhirdiad, afin d'y affronter l'armée impériale. Cette guerre, longue de cinq ans, va peut-être enfin connaître son terme.

But it’s going to end because... the army is after Rhea’s head, and she has retreated to the city to prepare her defense. 

But who truly “continues” the war, the one who started it and won’t end until everyone she wants dead is dead (or surrendered to a certain death), or the one who retreats and prepares her defense/last resistance because she doesn’t want to die ?
