There's a lot of great things about FMA:B's final fight. It's the perfect culmination of all the hardships the protagonists had to go through to get to the end. It is a visceral expression of grief against the one responsible for all their sorrow.

It's also a teenager beating the everloving shit out of God with his bare hands while all his weird adult friends cheer him on.

And that makes it even better.

I’ve watched FMAB a thousand times but Greed’s death STILL gets me every fucking time. 1. Him realizing that Ling is going to get hurt and possibly killed by Father if Greed doesn’t leave his body, 2. Greed coming to terms with the fact that he’s definitely going to get killed by Father but he’s willing to make the sacrifice for Ling, and 3. Greed discovering that what he wanted was what he had the entire time, and that was true friends who would stick with him through thick and thin, who would share the same experiences and failures and triumphs and still love him despite his homunculus status. I’m so.

Also I’m SO pissed at the fact that Pride got to live but Greed didn’t. In my brain I kept saying “Well yeah I guess it makes sense for all of the homunculi to die bc they came from Father and HE has to die” but then I remembered that Pride LIVES and that makes me so salty. Out of all the homunculi Greed deserved to live the MOST AND I JUST. FUCKIGN.

I think the Bradleys are unintentionally the funniest part of fmab. Wrath is the leader of a country but King is his first name, not his title. His adopted ten year old son is actually at least 350 years old and his oldest brother. Mrs. Bradley somehow seems unaware that her son does not age or get injured. Pride is so scary and fucked up that even other homunculi don't like him, but he apparently goes to school like a normal little boy and writes essays on how cool and awesome his dad is. Wrath and Pride both hate humans but they both agree that Mrs. Bradley is pretty great. When they die, Wrath ages several decades in like seconds, and Pride gets turned into a fetus. What the fuck is up with them

I am obsessed with the way Mustang just took over the role of Ed and Al’s dad. He took one look at those boys and went “oops guess im a father now” whether he was aware of it or not.

“It’s been awhile since we saw each other… why don’t we have a cup of tea?”

HE MISSES THEM AND WANTS TO HAVE TEA WITH EDWARD TO TALK ABOUT THINGS. THIS MAN IS LITERALLY A FATHER.

AND THE WAY HE JUST?? SETS UP MEETINGS WITH PEOPLE TO HELP ED??? (Yes, even though Tucker is a horrible person, he potentially had a lot of information that could’ve been very useful to Edward. And Mustang wasted absolutely no time in helping him.)

AND THE WAY HE SENDS HAVOC TO GO PICK THEM UP. HE LITERALLY PULLED THE “Sorry I’m busy and I can’t pick up my kids can you go get them for me”

Ok roy's gotta have some sort of bizarre, innate sixth sense for knowing where the elric bros are. I'm only around episode 30 but this man has just driven up to them multiple times now and told them to hop in the car. Like there's only so many explanations. Did he drive around intentionally looking for them for like, 45 minutes, getting increasingly frustrated that they just wouldn't appear on the side of the road, and then when he finally finds them he hastens to act all cool and collected to hide the fact that he was having some violent road rage not even ten minutes ago? Is it some insane luck, where he doesn't intentionally look for them but always ends up seeing them when he's out driving, so he picks them up because why not? Or does he intentionally look, and he just has some bizarre instinct like "yeah I should probably turn left three blocks from now" and he does and sure enough, there they are??

Now a few times he did this I think was because plot fights were happening and a getaway was needed, but there has also been multiple times where the only seemingly discernable reason is because he wants to drop them off at home?? That's legit all he does in "the 520 cens promise". dude just pulls up and is like "get in". Forget any possible excuses of "I need to talk to you about confidential plot relevant info and it's safest to do that while constantly moving around in an enclosed space with just us". All I hear is "You're out past your curfew and you didn't text me where you were so I came to find you and make sure you got home okay". And if that isn't protective parent behavior then idk what is.

Greedling's introduction is actually really funny because Greed does the typical evil possession rant about "your friend's gone I'm the only one left!" and Ed looks into his eyes midfight and is like "I know Ling's still in there" and it seems like the set up to some long epic struggle where Ed will have to reach out to Ling to prove he's still alive and help him overpower Greed

And then maybe two hours later Greed tracks Ed and Al down like "hey I have a message from Ling could you give it to Lan Fan for us? No clue what it says but that's probably fine. anyway don't try to foil our evil plans! or do I don't actually give a shit. later losers."
