#I’m going to be a bit of an ass but #so there’s a person I follow on twitter #that I see sigh a lot about lack of content for a certain ship #they don’t follow me but #I have seen their username in the kudos of my fic on that pairing #but no comment #that fic is nearly 15k and one chapter if you got far enough to see the kudos button you can’t possibly have hated it #or i mean I guess you COULD but then why leave kudos #but it just #ugh #that was 15k of the ship you are ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH CONTENT OF #and you can’t muster up a ‘good job’ or a ‘thanks’? #even if you thought it wasn’t very good you can’t find some bland polite encouragement? #if you’re complaining about lack of content TRY ENCOURAGING THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GIVE IT TO YOU #god #I did say I was going to be an ass #I’ve just been... super bummed lately by how little engagement any of my fics seem to get #I’m gonna try and get TWYSILU and WiS wrapped up over the summer but #I’m starting grad school this fall #I may end up taking a year off publishing any of my writing #while I’m busy with that #with how busy I’m likely to be it’s not gonna feel at all worth it I think #not if I’m getting five comments if I’m super lucky #i’d rather just share directly with the handful of people who care enough to actually say something
