1. Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as the ideas strike?
Oh I just daydream a lot. As a person ifnejdnd but yea i usually have some bout of daydreaming before hand. Or any time I step away from the writing. It’s also worth mentioning I do try to visualize things as I’m writing, which could be considered daydreaming in its own right.
11. Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around?
In order. I always write and draw through my sketchbook chronologically. I do however daydream ahead.
13. Do you listen to music while you write?  If yes, what have you been listening to recently?
Yup! Can’t write without it! While finishing up Enderman Moment I had minecraft lofi mixes on.
22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process?  How do you come up with titles?
I try to at least have an idea of a title as I go in, and it’ll be finalized as I go on and finish it. This is because I like having content that ties back to the title. Enderman Moment refers to a common phrase said in canon and is relevant. That one was pretty set in the beginning, same with my Kipo fics and Morning Tea. They guided certain aspects. Pick Up was a phrase that stuck in my mind at the beginning and because I couldn’t figure out any better titles, I pushed to try and tie it somehow. Hence the picking up hot coals imagery. Same concept for Wants and Needs, though admittedly stretched a bit more.
My process for this is idk it just happens dkdnjdnd I tend to prefer phrases it seems. It’s easier to make click with the content. I had a couple of exercises given to me in class I could dig them up one day.
35. What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted?
Uuuhhh I’d say I’m most proud of Enderman Moment for being my longest and most ambitious! Though I’m still soft for An Expected Visit. (It was my first fanfic, wowie)
41. Who’s your favorite character you’ve written?
I’ve come to really enjoy picking apart Hollow’s voice in fics. Theyre such a complex character if you start peeling back their layers. So many complexes. I remember enjoying writing Scarlemange’s dialogue for a similar reason to. They’re both refined in a way but boy oh boy is there Baggage™️ and that makes for an interesting headspace to get into. Scarle also just had a great dynamic I wrote against Kipo.
55. Have you noticed any patterns in your fics?  Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
Uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno? I suppose that’s something a fresh set of eyes could pick up easier. I think I have a pattern of focusing on the internal stuff, written inbetween the lines. I’ve also see myself zooming in and out often, something im very pleased with cuz it impressed my writing professor.
68. Are there any fics that influenced you to write the way you do?
So when I first got into fic writing I was basically running off of my own thing. But as I’ve starting writing for Hollow Knight i see myself picking apart fics I like to use in my own writing. @/ruthlesslistener ‘s fics have been a fav of mine and i see myself trying to pick up some of that descriptive style of emotions and internal thinking as well as that longer length. Until Dawn May Break is soooooo good but the palewatcher stuff ruthless has also written is just -chefs kiss-
