Room full of go getters. Hart BJJ and Muay Thai students, excellent job this week. There is always tons of talk about conditions. “It was too hot.” “It was too cold.” ……. Just to put this in perspective, if you are looking for the perfect weather, the perfect day, the perfect feeling, you will be creating excuses and undermining your goals. The Conditions don’t matter as much as your ability to accept the seasons as part of your adaptation , conditioning and experience. Never forget to stay after your goals, because “you are worth it” is a damn good enough reason. So a controlled pace is a smart strategy for any race. It’s hot. Thailand is hotter. It’s cold. People train outdoors in the cold and do not have heaters. It’s raining. People train in the rain. The point, regardless of the conditions, make sure your desire to succeed towards your goals outweigh your perception of elements and environment. Be comfortable with being uncomfortable.
