Gen headcanons👽

• Everyone knows Jessie loves earth animals but Yumyulack is actually also quite fond of them too (He'll never admit it though). Specifically the ones that can hurt people. Yummers likes watching nature documentaries because they don't censor the killing. He once asked to go to a petting zoo for his birthday and was very very close to crying when they didn't have any crocodiles, lions, or venomous snakes to pet.

• Having been brought to earth so young, Pupa doesnt know any Shlorpian. His first word on earth was fuck.

• Sometimes Jessie will hold her breath until she gets what she wants.

• The fam is subscribed to every magazine in existence. It overflows their doorstep every month.

• Shorpians are extremely sensitive to the cold (which they probably learned the hard way by someone's limbs getting frozen and broken off tbh) so Korvo invested in high quality Canada Goose jackets for everyone. Their first winter on earth consisted of the replicants and the pupa bundled up so tightly like giant burritos they could barely walk.

• The Solar Opposites have a tendency to shovel down their food like animals with the exception of Jessie. They all make fun of her for eating too slow until one of them starts choking on McNuggets.

• On the topic of food, since Shlorpians taste with their feet, they don't have have as many taste buds on their tongues as humans. They enjoy the texture of food more than the flavor. Which is part of the reason why they eat so many cursed food combinations.

Tervo headcanons💚💙

• Knowing Korvo is mildly obsessed with mexican food and culture, Terry once surprised Korvo with a trip to Mexico for just the two of them.

• Drunk Korvo recites corny romantic shlorpian love poetry to Terry. Wasted Korvo will poorly serenade Terry with corny romantic earth love songs.

• When he wants Terry out of the way or out of trouble for a bit, Korvo will put in extra effort to screw Terry's brains out so he naps for a few hours.

• Terry notices that Korvo will forget to take care of himself when he hyperfocuses on work. He'll sneak little snacks onto the ship or pull him away for a few minutes to get him to rest for a while. Korvo always complains but he secretly enjoys it.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVED the valentines day special and it had me laughing, blushing and fan girling multiple times... I just have some minor issues with the plot.

In the episode they say that Shlorpians don't have love and that they only have team affinity (which is funny and cute). This is the only time when we hear this in the show. But I feel like they did openly love each other and knew/felt that from one another for at least a few years... right? In the train episode Terry literally says "You aren't what you do, you're who you love, and that's me!" which Korvo does not protest, in fact he sobs out of love and appreciation for Terry (it's literally so fucking cute I could die!).

I did love the episode though, and I know that the writers for Solar Opposites are constantly challenging the status quo when it comes to story telling. I just really appreciate the love Terry and Korvo have for each other from the beginning of the show to the end. I can also appreciate that they had a cute story to tell and I am very glad they did!

Just thinking out loud here! Would love to know what others think about this!

#okay in all seriousness though i fucking loved it #hands down favorite episode was earth rake #but also contending is stockiverse and.. Bouillabaisse.. #i really love how family focused this season is. dont get me started on tervo. i love how much nicer everyone is to each other #except for them really juicing up korvo’s bitchiness in super gooblers (which i guess was meant to push jesse into her confrontation) #speaking of korvo his voice was a delight this season. just so expressive and is now up there with the rest of the casts distinct voices #i guess trying to ease back into finales that end with a season reset #and why didnt pupa change color?? #overall it was pretty fucking great. had black spots in my vision during the invisible kitchen scene #tervo this season was fucking crazy my god what are they gonna do for the valentine special #UGHHH. they really keep raising the bar every season. SOOOO GOOD #this isn’t a very In Depth discussion of my thoughts sorry i need to spend more time in this seasons nooks and crannies #ooh ohh and the replicants this season were so cute too. THEY GREW TOGETHERRR #i liked the shlorp lore and little peeks into their past too #anyways i got sidetracked yeah amazing season #I FORGOT TO MENTION THE ANIMATION #THE ANIMATION THIS SEASON WAS BONKERS DUDE. LOVED HOW FLUID IT WAS AND ALL THE FUN NEW EXPRESSIONS THE SOLARS HAD #THAT SCENE OF THEM SAYING DEENOSAUR WAS LIKE MY FAVORITE EXAMPLE #gonna keep adding as i remember things im glad they wanted to explore jesses character more #but i dont like how they jeopardized korvos character for them to get there #kinda made him backtrack his progress for the sake of that episode :/ just a really big shift i wasnt a fan of #and they didnt make him feel remorse that whole episode either he didnt even say sorry :/ #also terry was just chill with chris that whole episode? have we just moved past the hall of betrayals thing? #i guess jesse’s roast about him being sky blue really just set him off for the rest of the season #he needs to talk to someone professional #i feel like solars is a really weird blend of being umm.
