You know what makes me bitter?
One of my favorite romance tropes in TV is a character utterly breaking apart, screaming, cradling the temporarily dead person they're in love with. Going on a reckless, unhinged bender maybe. It's GREAT.
Feed me all that angst as you see their heart shatters into a thousand tiny pieces. And then the sheer world shaking relief when the other person wakes up/gets found/time travel shenanigans ensue.
So like...
Tumblr media
and
Tumblr media
(actually I could mention a lot of examples for those two, when she closed the doors, when he thought she was dead for six years, when he thought Josephine killed her, but this here was the Big One (lets ignore last season entirely okay?))
and this one
Tumblr media
(goddamn that was such a moment, Alec unable to breathe, hyperventilating at the idea of Magnus having been caught in the death wave thing with the other Downworlders. Exactly what I asked for)
and
Tumblr media
(lets. ignore. the goddamn. ending. and enjoy the peaches and plums)
Now to my reason for bitter. I also ship a lot femslash.
You see my problem.
They've got the death part down. Seem to be having problems with the 'temporary'.
I think I can think of exactly one example where I get to see this trope with two women actually.
And that's these two.
Tumblr media
(Like Root breaking, going on a desperate find Shaw campaign and playing chicken with The Machine? Exquisite)
I want more of that with my femslash, thank you.

Just watched King’s Gambit and this was the second time they dropped a mention of this mystery computer genius Falcon in relation to an AI. So... the God Account is definitely gonna be an Artificial Super Intelligence, huh?

I rewatched Relevance yesterday and I’d almost forgotten how fun all of Shaw’s first meetings were.
With John *shoot first ask questions way later*
With Finch 'thanks but no thanks’
With Root ‘I kind of enjoy this sort of thing’
With Bear *dog breath and saliva*
And on a much more painful note I’d also forgotten:
“Hersh was right. You are a good soldier. You didn’t want revenge. You wanted to protect the program.”
“A good soldier does both.”
